25 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. 2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel. 4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lordagainst the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel. 5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor. 6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and bro…

6 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the Lord: 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. 5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he…

In 1979 two silver mini scrolls (actually amulets in antiquity) were discovered at Ketef Hinnom, an archaeological site that now has been incorporated into the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. Dating to around 2,600 years ago they are written in paleo-Hebrew and contain the oldest biblical passage that survives to present day, part of a priestly blessing found in Numbers 6:24-26. The amulets say that Yahweh is stronger than evil and a "rebuker of evil." Researchers think the amulets would have offered protection to those who wore them. http://www.livescience.com/40046-holy-land-archaeological-finds.html Dead Sea Scrolls A young shepher…

Who really is/was Satoshi Nakamoto?

I thought from some previous readings that Craig Wright from Australia was the creator of bitcoin. Others point toward people who used to be a part of bitgold. Who do you think Satoshi Nakamoto really was/is?

Hal Finney was the first person, besides Satoshi Nakamoto, to run Bitcoin and support the network.

I found it super interesting to see the unearthed walls of Nineveh.... I remember seeing the Assyrian burnt walls in the Louvre as well years ago. Agape! p.s. - I'll try to link this up to Jonah chapter 1 one of these days somehow.

Unfortunately the original link in this post suffered from Link Rot to another site. ------------------- This is now a discussion re: Eden's location and the description in Genesis chapter 2 ------------------ Did I mention how much I hate "link rot"? Agape!

I'd like to ramble a bit about the Watchtower Study linked here: https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-study-november-2023/You-Can-Remain-Confident-During-Uncertain-Times/ I'm often too critical, but I thought this one was excellent. I'll try to include a balance of some things I thought about and some things I questioned along with the reasons I thought it was excellent. It's a great way to introduce a past example from the Bible by tying it to our own experiences today, and they managed to include everyone with the opening: DO YOU at times worry about the future? Perhaps you have lost your job and you worry about providing for your famil…

This is an interesting and complex hypothetical scenario, and there is no definitive answer to what would happen. However, here are some possible implications and challenges: Oil price volatility: If oil were to be priced in bitcoin, the oil market would be exposed to the high volatility of the cryptocurrency, which is influenced by factors such as supply and demand, regulation, innovation, and speculation. This could make oil prices more unpredictable and unstable, affecting the profitability and planning of oil producers and consumers. For example, if bitcoin’s price suddenly drops, oil producers would lose revenue and might have to cut production or sell at a l…

The Different Colors of Period Blood
by Guest Indiana-

In order to understand your body and your menstrual cycle, let’s take a look at the different colors of your period blood and what it means for your body. Brown or dark red period blood Sometimes at the beginning or end of your period, your blood might be brown or dark red (some might even say it’s rust colored), instead of red. Brown menstrual blood near the beginning or end of your period is normal, and is just a sign that the discharged blood is older. It’s your body’s way of cleaning out your uterus and vagina and preparing it for your next menstrual cycle. Sometimes, we also experience brown period blood in between periods. Usually, you’ll notice this…
