February 18, 1943 - January 28, 2016

Amos Allen Letts, age 72, passed away on Jan. 28, 2016, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born on Feb. 18, 1943, the son of the late Edward and Mable Letts in Rockford, IL. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1961. Amos worked as a machinist most of his career and was a “jack of all trades”, and enjoyed projects of all sorts. Among his interests were the outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, photography, the accordion and other instruments.

Amos is survived by the love of his life, Ruth Ione Letts; his two sons, Edwin (Cathy) Letts and Leslie Letts; grandsons: Dakota Letts, Braden Letts, Cameron Letts, Austin Letts; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Heath; as well as his two brothers, William and Milo Letts of Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We welcome family and friends to join us to share a memory, some tears or laughter in celebration of Amos’s life on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES located at 4129 E. Bingham Road, Janesville, WI. The memorial gathering will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial talk at 3 p.m.

If you are so inclined, in lieu of flowers, any memorial gifts may be sent to Ruth Letts, at 2514 Lucerne Drive, Janesville, WI 53545 to the attention of Edwin Letts.
