I suspect the Pharmacists would know better than even the doctors since they hear back directly from the patients even more frequently than the docs.

They would also tend to be able to note frequency of complaints or praise of a certain medicine over a competitor whereas a doctor might night not.

Just my quick thoughts on the matter.
