Barber's Logic - God does not exist :)

A Barber's Story:  Does God Exist ?

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and his beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched the subject of God. The barber said: "Look man, I don't believe that God exists as you say."

"Why do you say that?" asked the client.

"Well, it's so easy, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain. I can't think of loving a God who permits all of these things."

The client stopped for a moment thinking, but he didn't want to respond as to cause an argument. The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard (it seems that it had been a long time since he had his cut and he looked so untidy).

Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber, "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say they don't exist?" asked the barber. "Well I am here and I am a barber."

"No!" the client exclaimed. "They don't exist because if they did there would be no people with long hair and a beard like that man who walks in the street."

"Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"-  affirmed the client.  "That's the point.  God does exist,  what happens is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him.  That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Amen :x

Its  MORE  harder  to  find  the  right  people  for  the  TRUTH !

That is very true ... my wife and I calculated that with the 77% dropout rate, it takes 25 MAN-YEARS to bring a new person into the Truth who will stay his whole life. ( That's 2,000 hours x 25 years of work ). It is quicker and more efficient to have children, and properly raise them in the Truth, which takes about 1/5 the effort and approximately six less years).  PLUS, if you have THREE children, your effectiveness is multiplied by three.

For many months we have been taking classes to adopt children, and getting our house ready ... and expect to be licensed by the end of December. and adopt a sibling group. ( That means brothers and sisters, for those in Rio Linda...).

Depending on their ages, in about 12 to 18 years, I will let you know how it turned out.

I  also  like  it,  calculate  this  or  that...  but  its  not  good  - and  we  learn,  not  do  that  with  Bible-scriptures !  The  result  will  be  never  exact !   ITS  SIMILAR  TO  THE  YEAR  1975 !!   REMEMBER,  any  anointed  Brother  made  a  big  mistake,  telling  a  special  count.  Later,  many  Brother's  after  a  time,  quitted  the  Truth :(  That  was  a  fatal  mistake....  Better  not  repeat  that.  Jehovah  will  tell  us  all  to  the  right  time !

The God delusion- are Jehovah's Witnesses the exception?
Religion seems to be more divisive and destructive than any other belief system. Why does the belief in a superhuman power bear such "rotten fruit"?
Each religion claims they are the one and only true religion. Is there such a thing as the only true Religion, and one that actually bears "good fruit"?
Please watch the documentary below and feel free to share any observations you might have, or comment on the problem of religion and belief you have identified and/or the areas where Jehovah's Witnesses differ....etc.
At the end of the video Dawkins asks imploringly, appealing to our sense of gratitude: “People sometimes say there must be more to this life....but how much more do you want”?
I guess you can present that question to someone who was born in poverty and disease, and has no way out. Or you can ask someone who has been diagnosed with a fatal illness and has no way of getting better. Or you can ask someone who has lost loved ones who cannot be brought back.  I am sure they would tell you they wished for more.....

"In 1987, I came to the United States to pursue doctorate studies at Texas A&M University. I was aware that in America, many people believe in God and read the Bible. Also, I had heard that the Bible contains a lot of practical wisdom, so I thought I should read it."
It was no more complicated than that. Later, a Witness visited Dr. Fan Yu. and offered a Bible Study, which he and later his wife accepted. He tells his story in the Awake magazine, #3, 2017.
He was a mathematician. When he reexamined evolution, which he had absorbed because from an early age people told him to absorb it, he dismissed it on the basis of probability alone. That's what you do. You find some essential component of evolution, the odds of which could happen accidentally are greater than the number of atoms of the universe, and proceed from there.
