Help in finding licensed daycare in the Kitsap County area. Participant needs to call and leave a message. Someone will return the call and provide a list of providers. The referral service also offers financial assistance for training, expansion and equipment for daycare providers and people interested in becoming a provider.

Provides information on finding a licensed day care or on becoming a provider. This division also oversees foster parents and the state adoption agency.

Free part day Pre-School services. Full Day Programs available. There are centers in most areas of Kitsap County;please visit the website for a full listing of locations and hours. The EHS program is for pregnant mothers and children through age 3. HEADSTART program provides services for children ages 3-5. Provides preparation for kindergarten, individual learning plans, health services for the children, nutritious meals and snacks, services for children with special needs, access to community resources and advocacy for the parents. Also has Home Base option which provides eligible families with home visits and support services from the prenatal months to the child’s third birthday.
 

HOMELESS CHILDCARE

Assists in locating and paying for childcare for children birth to age 12 on a short-term basis. Assistance must be for employment or employment activity, housing search, medical, substance abuse, court or counseling appointments. Applicants must be homeless and not eligible for any other daycare subsidy programs such as Department of Social and Health Services Working Connection Childcare.
