Information and referrals direct assistance, case management, and meals, medical, legal referrals and housing referrals for those 60+. Special assistance may be given to elders who may be victims of abuse and / or unable to care for themselves. Senior I & A can make referrals to KMHS for mental health services for geriatric clients.

Uses state and federal funding to determine services needed and degrees of funding for programs related to problem of senior citizens. Activities include; needs assessment planning, program development, contract preparation, and program monitoring. Call for more information.

Help disabled and elderly stay as independent as they can for as long as they can. They help individuals in all types of living situations. They can help with meds, wills, selling property and moving, and money management. They take private funding.


 

COPES SERVICES-DSHS

Copes services are available to those persons who are on Medicaid or are eligible for Medicaid. Copes worker can be a family member, anyone but the spouse. Copes workers assist the in need person with meeting their personal needs. In order for that person to stay in their home and not be placed in a nursing home. Copes worker does not have to live with the individual in need. The pay is minimal for the Copes worker. The Copes worker must meet physical and background check requirements.
