I  think,  we've  to  wait  a  little  time...  I  read  by  German  reports,  they  need  some  or  more  weeks  for  all  investigations !  In  my  post  here,  we  can  read,  just  the  Pope  Franziskus  now  allowed  condoms...  hahaha   typical  for  the  Catholics  -  suddenly,  seems  they  awake  from  their  Bible - deep - sleep....  Ok.  we  shall  see  soon !

I think it's important to get at least a basic understanding of how viruses work. The short answer is: Yes, but not JUST an std. Any virus that has infected cells contained in saliva, semen, blood, etc. can infect someone who comes in contact with said cells. So in that sense, I guess you could any virus can potentially be an std.
