These can all be separate topics. The WT's NWT Committee is a lot like all committees put together for the purpose of translating the Bible. They never claimed to be inspired, but they had certain criteria in mind for the NWT. One was to be accurate and consistent and also allow a high degree of literalness in the original. Sometimes this literalness even preserves Hebrew idiom. And yes, they had certain ideas about accuracy in mind when choosing words like "torture stake" instead of the Greek "
I think the Apostles did works to prove that they had God's guidance and that they were inspired by God's Holy Spirit.
I agree that we all need to trust in God through Jesus Christ, but I do not trust the GB or JW Org at this time as they seem to prove themselves unworthy of God's approval.

That's fine. Define it that way. Just keep in mind, the Watchtower does its best with what is granted by the Holy Spirit. The first century Christians didn't really have confidence in the apostles to make righteous judgment calls. This leads back to human emotion. Who, did they trust, and who should we trust.
By Christ standards and actions of him and the apostles should therefore be clear. Since they all said, TRUST IN GOD that all many be revealed to you. Above all never forget!
