  1. I agree that we (as listeners of this video) are in position to accept or reject this testimony in full or partially. .....BUT..... having knowledge of "the other side" (CO, elders) it would not be surprising that some of them are so sure in own authority and spirituality, self-righteousness to such measure/level in which some of them would dare to make proclamation how someone's faith is "garbage". Of, course we don't know what looks (what was looked) like relationship between CO and this man before this KH parking lot conversation.
  2. As i mentioned before, about this verse. Hope is good thing, but dog will never be a lion............. But it is fine to be a dog if you have good people around who love you.
  3. This WTJWORG "double-edged sword" statement is interesting. If GB think how some "others" (not them but "others") members have some mental or emotional problems are problematic to be counted as part of This Particular CLASS, that issue can be solved by some medical examinations and interviews of all who made claim they are anointed. If, after they have been put through a medical test, are Not Positive on Something - whatever the test was looking for - they are healthy :)))
  4. There exists a reason why - making doctrines from poetry - is bad idea. Another thing what is good to remember from time to time is: word forever, eternal in Bible not necessary holding idea of something that will never stop. :))
  5. The Sun, Moon and Stars are things without brain , so they can not be no faithful neither loyal. (only if we imagine that all what have some sort of energy on atomic level are not "dead things" and by that are able to show some attributes of Creator) :)) FAITHFUL in UK: firm and not changing in your friendship with or support for a person or an organization, or in your belief in your principles: a faithful friend They are faithful supporters of the Labour Party. His faithful old dog accompanied him everywhere he went. C2 If your husband, wife, or partner is faithful, he or she does not have a sexual relationship with anyone else: Was your wife faithful during your marriage? He was faithful to his wife throughout their 30-year marriage. to continue to support or follow something: He remained faithful to the regime when so many others spoke out against it. Despite persecution, she remained faithful to her beliefs. true or not changing any of the details, facts, style, etc. of the original: She gave a faithful account of what had happened on that night. I have tried to keep my translation as faithful as possible to the original book. following a particular religion: faithful Christians faithful followers of Buddhism someone who continues to support someone or something: He gave a rousing speech to a room full of party faithfuls (= faithful supporters of a political party). people who are always loyal to a particular group ororganization, especially a political party: They asked for donations from the party faithful. the people who believe in aparticular religion: We heard bells calling the faithful to prayer. FAITHFUL in US: trusted; loyal: She has been a faithful employee for 30 years. If something, such as a copy or recording, is faithful, it is exactly like or very similar to the original: The painting was a faithful reproduction of theoriginal. If you are faithful to someone or something, you remain loyal and keepthe promises you made: You've been faithful to your family. LOYAL in UK: B2 firm and not changing in your friendship with or support for a person or anorganization, or in your belief in your principles: Jack has been a loyal worker in this company for almost 50 years. When all her other friends deserted her, Steve remained loyal. She's very loyal to her friends. COMMERCE, MARKETING a loyal customer always buys the same product, uses the same store, etc.: Supermarkets should reward their most loyal customers. loyal to sb/sth Our customers remain loyal to the brand. HR a loyal employee works for the same company for many years: loyal to sb/sth Training programmes encourage workers to remain loyal to their employers. LOYAL in US: always giving help and encouragement: People close to Woodruff are fiercely loyal and quick to shower her with superlatives.
  6. @Witness :Are you questioning God's reason for anointing me? Similar questions in first sight, but in the same time also two different questions. But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,+ a people for special possession,+ that you should declare abroad the excellencies”*+ of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light - 1. Peter 2:9 WTJWORG quote: Such adopted state brings benefits of freedom from “a spirit of slavery causing fear,” replacing it with the confidence of sons; of hope of a heavenly inheritance assured by the witness of God’s spirit. At the same time these spiritual sons are reminded by their adoption that such position is by God’s undeserved kindness and selection rather than by their inherent right. - https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/pc/r1/lp-e/1200271355/1/0 @Witness put in front of you @TrueTomHarley adequate question. How that? By this short Bible verse and WTJWORG explanation, questioning: is/was particular "anointing" of some person true or false, it is out of human power of conclusion. Tom, you explained your position by saying this: Well, if i understand correctly, you Tom not put in question Witness claims she is anointed (but also in the same time not confirm it: Am I questioning it? No. However - and this is key - neither am I confirming it.), but you put in question Did God anointed her: How would I know? I believe, very much/strong, how Witness do not need neither not single one or any of your "confirmation" about it :))) Reason you provide is: I can only observe that your input does not square very well with what I have come to expect of ones anointed. I can agree that you, or someone else, may/should has some expectations. We all have some expectations from others, don't we? I guess that you have some expectations from GB too? Or from God himself? Surely, i guess, that you have some doubts about them/that too?! It is normal. Main point, as i can see, from Witness question Are you questioning God's reason for anointing me? is: Do you, Tom, want to question God's choice of see me to be anointed?? Main point, as i can see, from your question Are you questioning that I am anointed is: Do you, Witness, sure about that you are anointed by God?
  7. :))))) my name was printed/used so many times recently in the people's comments and that make me wonder; is this braking law - GDPR, nobody asking me, may he use my name in their comments :))))))))))))))))) Another topic. About DownVoting. After @Foreigner made few serial downvoting on several comments i have made, that made/caused reaction in me to went on his comments and made my downvote to his comments, even without reading what he said. Just to send him a feeling how it looks like to receive dv symbol without explanation. Stupid and/or childish, i know, but i was "motivated or inspired" to did what i did.
  8. Hi, I also wonder, why @Foreigner giving me so much red arrows too ? ...... and not giving any comments on my post, just downvote reaction :))))) perhaps man only know to read and not to write. Even i can write with my poor English :))))))) Thank you very much, to all who reading my comments and have understanding and patience for my grammar
  9. This made me curious and i went on jworglibrary to find something with word "celebrate" about Last Supper. Here is just one article that not using such terminology, but who knows, perhaps some other did. Why Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Observe the Lord’s Supper Differently From the Way Other Religions Do? - source: https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/lords-supper/ our observance ....showing our gratitude..... to commemorate........Jesus said: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me,”........When Jehovah’s Witnesses observe the Lord’s Evening Meal
  10. JHVH reveals or Writing Department is in charge for put that for public release? The original text is prepared in English. The Governing Body oversees the activity of the Writing Department at our world headquarters. This department coordinates the assignments of the writers who serve at headquarters and at certain branch offices. Having a diversified writing staff allows us to address multicultural subjects that give our publications an international appeal. - source: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102012164
  11. While we are alive, we all are living examples.... some day in a future we all come to be death examples :)))
  12. Prison warden made correct conclusion in that issue, of course some would argue how this can be matter of perspective on what word "worship" means. Cambridge Dictionary explained: A) to have or show a strong feeling of respect and admiration for God or a god B) to go to a religious ceremony. Well, standard view on "worshiping god in a chapel would be some sort of ceremony and/or individual or mass prayer to god. Meeting of two (or more) persons that reading WT Publications with questions and answers (teacher - student form) is for sure class hour. Singing a songs to god would be "worshiping", reading and studying magazines are not. Reading Bible can be directed in few ways: Adoration to god and finding spirituality in self or reading stuff that happened in past or poetry or religious and anthropological research and similar. Worshiping god was in much an ceremony aspects, as in old Israel (feast with food and slaughtering animals for sacrifice) or assembling to offer prayers or to read Holy Scriptures. Today as in some cases, to not go to kill other people because you consider other people as children from god. Connections in people's mind about god and life can bring idea, how some sort of individual behavior in society coming from religious spirituality of that person who by that "worship" god with his words and deeds. Here we came to social reforms efforts. I have nothing against that. What is questionable here is that this Simmons lady, who have Bible study with JW members, are involved in practice that is forbidden by WTJWORG Church. JW Bible Study teaching females to be obedient to males but she want equality for all sex (or gender). She want to see woman empowered in this state. Here we have just opposite what is WTJWORG Policy regarding woman. Male is first, and woman are not equal to man in JW World. Looking for Social Reforms inside Prison who is run by State and Politics is area where JW want to be "Neutral". By that JW teachers who run Bible study with her obviously not came to that chapter with her, yet. Of course that ex female convicts needs a better chance for better jobs. I just point here to hypocrisy of religion and some religious people.
  13. I do not know how looks like Montana woman prison chapel. Perhaps as this two on pictures? All have the right to proselytize their religion to others (in western lands cultures). I wonder this: If prison chapel looks like chapel of "normal" christian church chapel, with cross and similar symbols, why would JW want to have Bible study in such space under "pagan" symbols? In every day life JW do not want to enter the church of any other religion, maybe only for touristic and historical reason. But not to listen or talking to people in the church. To have religious service on the same place where so called "satan service" also is offered, strange :)))
  14. If people chooses one path and believe how their choice is good ...... Stay brave and endure! If people believe how their circumstances are not possible to change ......Stay brave and endure! If people have faith how one day all will be better.....Stay brave and endure! "Normal" treatment in normal prisons is such that prisoners have limitations... in many things. Among some limitations is how time is determined for sleep, be awaken, go on fresh air, time for eat, work, free time and so on. In my time while waiting for Court tribunal and after Judicial decision while waiting for transfer to prison (and all that was in Military Court and Military Jail building) "normal" time for walking on fresh air was only 1 hour a day (inside walls of course inside building courtyards, there was 3 separate yards for 1 prisoners separately walking in own yard), all other time you spend in cell, sitting, reading or standing, but it was forbidden to lie on the bed until late evening aka sleeping time (i am not remember that precisely but i think that waking up in the morning was at 6 After, in prison, waking up was in 5 or 6 am, morning toilets, breakfast, roll call, going to 8 hour work, pause for snack, roll call, going for lunch, after lunch some people went to school, others has free time, roll call before dinner at 6 or 7. Watching TV to 9, roll call, light off at 10 pm. Very Normal :)))))) And I have endured, ...... ok perhaps i am not "normal" now after all that, as other "normal" people :)))))))))))))))))))))))
  15. To read and find out the experiences of other people have great value. However, this may become a problem if the solution to some of the life situations, that somebody has achieved, wishes to imitate in full or in full imagined detail (details that are not known to anyone who read the article). Another issue, even bigger, arises when publisher's article tries to direct his readers to the idea how this is the way. And how that process of attempts to act, in similar or the same way, would be blessed by God. And as more dangerous is idea, how exactly this way is the only right way.
  16. Yes, perhaps he/she just reading other people's blogs and get some idea for this post.
  17. Librarian! You have something on your mind while post this in connection to JW Open Club. Would you be so kind to tell us ... what?
  18. :)))) never on Sunday! ... with one exception; if parents are reasonable and realistic people, they will give a child a new $ which will replace the one who ended up in the donation box. That would be 2 $ per Sunday, but children happiness is priceless !!!
  19. haha, this reminds on old one - better to be live dog than dead lion. But dog will never be a lion, he will have dog's life :))) and that is ok so far as you consider yourself what you are - a dog, but problems can come at the moment when dog consider self to be a lion (with or without leg .... of course it would be easier with all legs)
  20. Perhaps we can mention another important aspect. Self-sacrifice. The Bible, a book WTJWORG so passionately wants to promote in the lives of people, a believer, gives examples when an individual gives up on something he has the right to use or have. Little Sophia, in a cartoon, has the all right to consume ice cream on Sunday after the meeting, BUT, "mature Christians" aka GB at JWTV, learns her and all other, she has to give up of ice cream that costs $ 1. TM the III has the freedom to drink what he wants. But can he to give up of buying and drinking his " Sunday ice cream", on Sunday or on any day of the week. Does TM want to donate his personal sacrifice to the "Interests of the Kingdom"? It is all about/ to show SELF-SACRIFICE to the/towards people (and to the God).
  21. Good day to every visitor of my profile.

Although something should have been said and put here, when I joined this Forum, I will do this today with my Letter about my leaving the JW Community as introduction. I am living in Zagreb, Croatia (Europe). Perhaps it is not enough, in words, but i also give you a smile :) ....

    1. To Society Watch Tower, Watchtower and corporations

    2. To Jehovah's Witnesses and all assemblies

    3. To all whom this concern

Declaration on termination of membership to a religious community of Jehovah's Witnesses

I was baptized in 1977 at the age of 17, then a minor. But, in good faith I answered the following two questions just before baptism, which is symbolized my dedication to God in terms of the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses religion.

    At that time (before the change of June 1 1985) questions have read as follows;

    A)    Have you repented of your sins and converted, recognizing yourself before Jehovah God as a condemned sinner who needs salvation, and have you acknowledged to him that this salvation proceeds from him, the Father, through his Son Jesus Christ?

    B)     On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for salvation, have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to God to do his will henceforth as he reveals it to you through Jesus Christ and through the Bible under the enlightening power of the holy spirit?

Since I have over decades closely followed the changes in various aspects of activity of this religion, I noticed some frequent collisions (1 John 4:1; 1 Th 5:21). It is visible in: a) the content of the various interpretations; b) in the theory and practice of action in everyday life issues. Overview of many historical aspects of the spiritual heritage, which the organization has, since its inception in the 19th century, left to its members-followers, and wants to cover it up, revise and incorrect display, is astounding. Who wants to drink a water from a cup in which there is a single drop of dangerous substances?

                The purpose of my statement is not to explain doctrine and practices of society and the board of directors, who are disturbed my conscience and reasoning within the love, faith, knowledge and understanding that I feel and I have to God and Jesus Christ and to the people, so I will taxatively single out only a few of them (Rom 14:4). These are obvious example, on the one hand, theological acrobatics from the main church body of Jehovah's Witnesses, and on the other hand, their dishonesty and practice in which one they are learns, and other they are works;

    1) Confusing conceptions about their own identity (Who shared spiritual food? One servant, all 144 000, a composite body or the governing body ...,)

    2) Pragmatism in changing dogmatic interpretations before the change was "firmly biblical established", such as a series of explanations about the "generation" ...,

    3) Speculation about the meaning of biblical statements and how they should be understood. More than once the revised interpretation were in style of YES-NO-YES-NO; then this year's "changed approach to the interpretation of reports from the Word of God" ...,

    4) Switching of responsibility from the governing body and their representatives on the ordinary believers in respect of the decisions and attitudes that members should be carried out, when it becomes apparent that they were endangered spiritually, mentally and literally health of fellow believers  (eg, multiple expectations of Armageddon, Malawi and Mexico of the 1970's, questions about blood, juvenile members / Bulgaria /, neutrality ...,)

    5) Co-operation and association with political organizations such as the UN and the OSCE.

    6) Increasingly open calls for financial donations and contributions to the funds of the corporation.

    7) Careless and unkind treatment of victims of pedophilia within the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses

Regardless of how, as collective or personal, members of the Jehovah's Witnesses will treat me after this letter of resignation, considering the worldwide-known practice of ignoring and avoiding (shunning) that Jehovah's Witnesses apply to all who are outside of their religion ("worldly" people, dissociated and disfellowshipped) - I with fully conscious and reason declare still this; My relationship with the people / persons in the Jehovah's Witness religion and those who are not, is based on the words of Jesus; "Love your neighbor as yourself"; "Love those who hate you"; "Whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them."

I expecting from you, that any kind of information which is stored anywhere, in connection with me and has my full name, such as personal files, or any other files you immediately destroy!

  22. Oh Billy, I understand the difference. But we are not making issue of Motives here. We have disagreement is it lie A Lie in all circumstances and space and time, or is it permissible to talking lies because someone thinking how he has "justification" to tell the lie. First of all, here you talking about colors. Your perception of traffic lights and wrong vision can be reason to talking wrongly to others. If that is not the case, than we can start to discuss about your motives about why you told me fault fact about color of traffic light. Anyway, with no interest to enter into your motives now, dry fact loudly saying to all of us - You told lie (or more politely wording: you have been in wrong) when you spoke about traffic light color. As result, I don't respect you in this color issue. People hate lies. God hate lies. But we still lying?! :)) The Bible’s Viewpoint - https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102000087 Lying—Is It Ever Justified? “A LITTLE INACCURACY SOMETIMES SAVES TONS OF EXPLANATION.” THIS comment illustrates how many people feel about lying. Their rationale is that lying is not wrong if it does not harm anyone. Such reasoning even has an academic name—situation ethics, which says that the only law you need to follow is the so-called law of love. In other words, explains author Diane Komp, “if your motivation is right and your heart is right (then the) fact that you lied . . . is no big deal.” Such a viewpoint is common in today’s world. This part in article for Public said how lie is a lie and how Situation Ethics is worldly viewpoint, not God's. But still, Secret Elder's Instruction Manual told different- if lie is not intentional and not made big problems, you are not in problem. If lie is intentional but said in Court that is also not big deal. I am blind, but you acting worst when agree with statement and promote idea how lie is not lie if is justified by Elders Ethics based on WTJWORG Manual.
