Well, I have no doubt....I am fully convinced...that they fulfill prophesy...as the wicked slave.  Jesus never told us that there was only one possibility, that being only a "faithful slave" as the GB suggests; if so, why would he have mentioned a wicked one.

From a "human standpoint", which is what I imagine you are referring to, would you say that the GB member, David Splane had a "sound mind" when concocting the latest chart of "this generation"?
Does it appear that A. Morris had a "sound mind" when visiting the liquor store? Or, when he spoke of people like charred hot dogs, in reference to the upcoming carnage at Armageddon?
Did Stephen Lett have a sound mind when he stated that it was all apostate lies that the organization had a child abuse problem?  Or, that there was "more money going out than coming in" which was followed with great plans to build media centers?
Did S. Herd have a sound mind when comparing the size of a woman's brain to that of a man as so much smaller, and how that limits her abilities?
    Just some reminders.

    Thanks for respond.
I can't take this explanation to be useful in defending Malenfant reasoning. After he told how no one  in congregations knows who of anointed really received heavenly calling (congregants can only assume, guess and speculate, with visual observation, with the help of literal sight, how individuals who partaking symbols possibly have heavenly calling, as he explained) he went beyond own reasoning and conclusion and presentation about issue, and made second guess, thesis about same subject.
In his next demonstration about same class, 144000 kings and priests who are all equal in this position before god, he put his personal (or small group) opinion above general, official doctrine presented few seconds before. It is known how WTJWorg published how some anointed are emotionally and mentally imbalanced, ill and partaking in symbols. And by that concluding how god will not choose such individual. But Malenfant stated how this relationship is of personal relationship and very private matter. Well, who we are to interfere if god want few "crazy" people to go to heaven??!!
On other hand, when you said:... and that might be a little difficult if for example someone who has obvious mental problems claims to be anointed. However, it should be a lot easier if that person is of sound mind.
If we are able to detect who is with mental problems and who have sound mind, it can be useful. But, what sort of mind (person) would/will devil use more for his purpose to deceive humankind with false doctrines? "Sound mind" or "mentally and emotionally disturbed mind"??
I am pretty sure in your answer :))

Yes  @Witness , you do preciously*, exactly summarized in a few words main message that this JW elder send to JW people.
No one else of "anointed" around the world is/represents nothing in WTJWorg, but only few of them in GB behaves as head of Organization and elevates themselves above all other anointed in the Body. It seems they acting as Head of Body or at least as the Neck (as in joke, man is head of his wife but she is the neck who rotate head ))

    Malenfant:
“We don’t need to know the names of all of the anointed on earth today.”
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
The Greek word here interpreted as “know”:
ἐπιγινώσκω epiginṓskō, ep-ig-in-oce'-ko; from G1909 and G1097; to know upon some mark, i.e. recognize; by implication, to become fully acquainted with, to acknowledge:—(ac-, have, take)know(-ledge, well), perceive.
It is imperative for each of us to “know”, during our lifetime, who the anointed are, and what these “trees” teach.  We are to recognize their fruits as either good or bad – good from Jesus Christ; bad from the Father of the lie.  (John 8:44; Luke 6:45)  Thus, we come to “know” that anointed one, and what he or she teaches. ( Mal 2:7)
“Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”   Matt 10:40-42
We cannot “welcome” any anointed disciple of Christ, if we are told to avoid them as an anointed teacher of Christ.  This includes knowing their name and the fruit they are to produce.
When I was a JW, I thought that by providing, as an example, a place for an anointed one and his family to live in, was giving them a “cup of cold water”.  Jesus is the source of “living water”. (John 7:38) Those who remain “in Christ” will have that same “living water” flowing from their heart. In turn, anyone who “receives” these teachers producing “good fruit”, give back that living water that flows from their own heart as well, from their recognition of teachings produced in harmony with Christ’s truths.
The fruit they produce, signifies their “daily/regular sacrifices”/”constant feature” offered before God.  1 Pet 2:5; Heb 13:15; Rom 12:1; Rev 7:15
With smooth, seemingly “righteous” words, Malenfant aids in the “trampling” of the anointed priests/Temple “stones” in the organization. His words support the termination of each anointed one's sacrifices to be made before God.  Ezek 44:6-9; 2 Chron 13:9; Dan 12:11; 2 Thess 2:4
"His forces will rise up and desecrate the temple fortress. They will abolish the regular sacrifice and set up the abomination of desolation.”  Dan 11:31

I feel that the majority of the "anointed" leaders of the organization from the beginning, were genuinely anointed to fulfill prophesy.  (Matt 5:14; 2 Pet 3:17; Rev 8:10,11; Matt 24:24)   Yet, I am not thoroughly convinced that all of today's GB members are.  When Malenfant said the above, how can one be totally convinced that each GB member is anointed when (someone correct me if I'm wrong) there is no account of any of their anointing experiences?  And why shouldn't there be? We have an incredible account in the Bible that all in the area witnessed its effect.  (Acts 2:1-3)  JWs are said to be honest in all things.  To say, "we are convinced" with no comment made by these men of their anointing experience is deceptive.  JWs are to take their word for it, but ignore any "word" from a genuine anointed in the organization.  The persuasive argument that Malenfant made is a war of words against the genuine anointed. (Rev 13:7)  In this case, it is one-sided unless a true anointed of God stands up and exposes truth outlined in scripture.  I so wish more would do so.
"Go now, write it on a tablet for them,
        inscribe it on a scroll,
that for the days to come
it may be an everlasting witness.
9 For these are rebellious people, deceitful children,
children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.
10 They say to the seers,
        “See no more visions!”
    and to the prophets,
“Give us no more visions of what is right!
    Tell us pleasant things,
        prophesy illusions.
    11 Leave this way,
        get off this path,
    and stop confronting us
with the Holy One of Israel!”
12 Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel says:
“Because you have rejected this message,
        relied on oppression
        and depended on deceit,
13 this sin will become for you
like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.
    18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22 Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”  (Isa 30)
Every priest under Christ, is to be a "teacher" of God's word, obedient to the teachings of Christ and not to those of men.
“For the lips of a priest (1 Pet 2:5,9) ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth."  Mal 2:7
JWs are not allowed to do this, and the anointed are not allowed to act as priests as outlined in scripture.

Thank you, Srecko.  I heard this too and really can't get his blasphemy out of my mind. (Rev 13:5)
So, it would be “pointless” to find out just who are Christ’s “ambassadors”, (2 Cor 5:20) since the only names one needs to know (according to Malenfant) are those of the GB.  And, since it is a “very private matter”, what JW would dare talk to one of these other ambassadors?
Rejecting the ambassadors/members of Christ’s body, is a rejection of Christ.  This is an absolutely stunning statement by Malenfant.  No other members of the Body, are apparently needed.  But, it’s been this way for a long while, since a “wicked slave” and its spiritually “drunk” elder body have worked together to beat down the Body of Christ, while exalting the body of elders.  Everyone, in every congregation knows exactly who the elders are. Matt 24:48-51
The anointed are allowing the GB/elders to cut them off from their Head, Jesus Christ. Their Master, their Head, has become the GB, who defies scripture concerning the anointed Body of Christ.
“They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.”  Col 2:19
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”  Rom 12:4,5
“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
“so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. “  1 Cor 12:7,25

“He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.”  Dan 8:25

As @JW Insider emphasized about reasonableness, i would look at Jesus words and on practicing his words with little caution. Pharisees commanded  not to work on Sabbath, for example.
.... Well, Jesus done the opposite and he did not participate in do all the things they tell you.

It seems how WT Society have only one group of "anointed generation", and that is present GB. In his morning worship talk Mr. Malenfant explained this:
"we don't need to know all names of the anointed on earth today, ....
... in our congregations we see the emblems being passed and we can see individuals partaking in ...
...it would be pointless to try and ascertain  who among God's servants will eventually be part of 144000. The final judgement and sealing of the anointed is very private matter between JHVH and individual anointed ones......
.. and i might also add at this point. Even though we don't know about that personal relationship that comes about, we don't experience it ourselves, but we are convinced, for example, that the members of the GB have the heavenly calling."
Mr Malenfant is person who can control his curiosity about things no one knows, not even he, but it seems how he knows all about that personal relationship and very private matter  that supposedly exist between GB members and JHVH.
:)))  and he try to manipulate audience with this "confidential information".

(Matthew 23:2, 3) . . .“The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. 3 Therefore, all the things they tell you, do and observe, . . .
Was that a defence of them ? Because Jesus follows up with :-
but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but they do not practice what they say.a 4  They bind up heavy loads and put them on the shoulders of men,b but they themselves are not willing to budge them with their finger
13 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut up the Kingdom of the heavens before men; for you yourselves do not go in, neither do you permit those on their way in to go in.
I think your GB have seated themselves in the seat of Moses. But whereas the Pharisees were in rightful possession of that place, your GB are not.
Getting back to Paul that you quoted. You wrote.   Paul said not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us.
    The scripture at 2 Thessalonians v 1 & 2 says :-
However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you 2  not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
So Paul warned that some would be talking about our being gathered together to him, and about  the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
The Governing Body of CCJW talk about both. They have spoken about when they will be 'taken up to heaven' and they continually talk about 'the final part of the final last days'.
As I've already said, the Apostle Paul was warning against your GB. But all JWs continue to follow the GB through the CCJW.
It honestly makes no sense to me because I believe that most JWs (boots on the ground not ones in positions of authority) are good honest people that are searching for truth.
But then maybe Catholics and Protestants church goers are basically good honest people too and searching for truth.
The GB / CCJW just tells different lies. The proof being that Paul warned against it.

I know this wasn't directed directly at me, but I am just as likely to ridicule the chart as several others around here. The reason is reason:
(Philippians 4:5) 5 Let your reasonableness become known to all men.. . .
(2 Thessalonians 2:1, 2) . . .However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you 2 not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
(James 1:22) . . .However, become doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves with false reasoning. . .
(Romans 12:1) . . .Therefore, I appeal to you by the compassions of God, brothers, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, a sacred service with your power of reason.
(James 3:17) 17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, reasonable, . . .
This reminds me of the time when Rutherford began teaching about "Armageddon" in 1925 (and the start of the resurrection of the ancient worthies like Abraham and David). He said it was not just a possibility or probability, but the practical equivalent of a certainty. This teaching was Rutherford's most famous prophetic interpretation from the moment that he was supposed to have embodied the "faithful slave" and the "Governing Body" starting in 1919. The 1919 prophetic message "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" was a message about how people would stop dying in 1925.
Should anyone have said anything to Rutherford about how unreasonable this idea was? Should anyone have said anything to anyone else who was teaching this? Rutherford was saying that his hearers and readers could be more certain of 1925 than Noah could have been certain about an imminent Flood. He said 1925 was more of a certainty than 1914 had been. (Which year had also been displayed in famous charts and chart-dependent presentations.)
I think you are implying that out of respect for Rutherford (and the "faithful slave" and the "Governing Body") that no one should have pointed out that this was unreasonable. Something similar might go for the idea that the Governing Body said that there should be no divorce allowed for a sister in the congregation when her husband was found to be committing adultery with another man. In the latter case, I'm pretty sure that the rule was changed only when enough people were bold enough to make fun of it. If no one had spoken up, we might still be stuck with this unreasonable teaching.
You point out that it now seems reasonable that the end might come about based upon the travails that the world is going through at this time. That might seem reasonable to a lot of people. Yet, even if it happens to be correct that we are currently listening to the world's "death rattle," it still does not follow that an unreasonable chart had anything to do with it.
If the end comes tonight and someone later discovers that a man in, say, Northern Queensland had been holding up a sign to that effect in a cow pasture, we could not reasonably connect the man's sign to the end-times event.

It is possible, and not only very possible, but Elijah (Jonah, Jeremiah and Job too) asking god for death, because of depressed state of mind (Samson, Saul, Saul's arms bearer and Ahitofel succeeded in suicide wish.
Even people, whose we do not perhaps consider as "mentally ill, diseased" or "spiritually weak" as faithful god's servants, showed exactly that, mental illness. Wishing to be dead is not what "normal" people ask for.
What situations in life can bring that even "normal" and faithful religious individual (JW's or any other believer) come to "mental imbalance"? One of reason is/can be Flip-Flop with religious doctrines inside WTJWorg, for sure.
After 40 years in WTJWorg it is not of surprise that i am just one of many (JW) ex-JW who was thought by WT Educational System to not going into the wisdom of these ("worldly") world and avoid anything that is opposite of Bible teachings. Bear in mind that i had been connected with JW church (as many other JW's) through my parents from earliest childhood. According to that, i stayed ignorant about many things, not just about governmental system :))))

It is an illogical thought to think I prefer to be part of the "man of lawlessness" that "sits" in the Temple of God.
    TEMPLE:
1 Pet 2:5 - "you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
    SPIRITUAL HOUSE:
Eph 2:20-22: having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit."
    DWELLING PLACE:
1 Cor 3:16,17 - "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."
    WHO DEFILES THE TEMPLE?
2 Thess 2:3,4 - "Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God."
Mark 13:14 - “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
    WHO STANDS IN THE TEMPLE?
Rev 11:1,2 - "I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. "
"Gentile" elders judge anointed "Israel", the Temple "living stones" of God.  It is written down in the WT that their rulership cannot be "challenged".
I hope every elder who loves righteousness, will leave the organization.

Endure spiritual immorality? Righteous Lot endured Sodom’s pervasive sexual immorality, until he was led out by the angels of God. There is another ‘leading out’ by God’s servants from pervasive spiritual immorality.     The “two” (meaning “truth”, not the literal number) “witnesses”, servants of God, give testimony to Christ and reject the “mark” of the organization,  for which they  are spiritually “killed” by the Beast/organization under the guidance of a false prophet. Rev 11:7-10  This is disfellowshipping.   Their “dead bodies” lie in the street of the “great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.”  Rev 17:8
God has called His nation “Sodom” in the past.
“Also I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalem: They commit adultery and walk in lies; They also strengthen the hands of evildoers, So that no one turns back from his wickedness. All of them are like Sodom to Me, And her inhabitants like Gomorrah.”  Jer 23:14
All of them were considered “like Sodom”.  Enduring false teachings is actually “strengthening the hands of evildoers”. Perhaps in one’s mind, he or she may believe they are not supporting the GB, since they are aware of their hypocrisy.  Yet, remaining with them shows a “lukewarm” attitude toward tolerating a false prophet.  (Rev 3:16)
These “two witnesses”, two servants of Christ, reveal the “man of lawlessness” which “stands” where it doesn’t belong – in the Temple of God. Mark 13:14; Matt 24:15; 2 Thess 2:3,4; Rev 11:1-3 (1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22)  The elders “stand” in for, the authentic priesthood.  They “sit” exalted over the Temple priests.  (2 Chron 23:6,7; Num 18:7) They have the authority given to them by the GB to judge Christ priests under him. (Rev 13:15) Since thereis no inspiration in the GB, there is no inspiration in the elders either.  This is a system contrived by men, not by God.  “Another spirit” is the driving power behind its existence. (2 Cor 11:4; Rev 13:2,11)   Why would God reject His own priesthood under Christ and approve of man’s choice? He never has in the past, and it did not go well with those who attempted to replace his chosen priests.  (Num 16:3-7,10,11,18,20,21,35,40)
The call, just as in Lot’s day, is to “come out of her, my people” so we do not “share” in the Harlot’s sins and receive the same plagues she will suffer from. (Rev 18:4) This scripiture doesn’t apply to Christendom.  Many receive their anointing while a member of the organization.  This is Satan’s sifting tool, his source of accusations against those in Christ – God’s “people”. (Luke 22:31; Eph 6:12)   Will they remain and endure false teachings, or will they “endure” suffering from their own people, by siding with Christ and his truth? (Matt 10:34-39)
No one, should endure the teachings of “blind guides”, yet, the majority of  JWs highly protect their modern day “Pharisees” by making excuses for them; who in turn, protect their cohort false teachers since the beginning of their organization.
Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matt 15:12-14
Also, for one reason or another, many JWs also cherish their “god of fortress”/organization more than they may readily admit to.  Dan 11:38
And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.  Luke 17:26-30
And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. Rev 18:4-8

The definition was from Strong's concordance of the Bible
It is "lawlessness" to replace God's anointed priesthood with elders not anointed. (2 Thess 2:3,4)   It is a "disgusting thing" "standing where it does not belong" (Mark 13:14), in the "Temple" of God. (1 Cor 3:16,17) (Rev 11:1,2)
God's "chosen" people ARE the priesthood.
Isa 43:10 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me."
1 Pet 2:9 "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy."
Again, God's true "witnesses" comprise the priesthood, which has been replaced and pushed into a discreet corner. They must be silenced.   Satan's goal is to destroy them, and he uses false prophets to "seduce" them into believing they have obtained "peace and security" within the idol/organization.  (1 Thess 5:3)  He seduces them with a flood of lies.  (Rev 12:25) (Rev 16:13,14)
It is amazing that my comment on falsehoods spoken by WT's leaders  was not even addressed.
Jezebel killed God' prophets.  Today, the anointed and anyone who desires to leave falsehoods are spiritually "killed".  (Rev 13:15)  Revelation's "Jezebel" misleads God's chosen slaves.  Rev 2:20   If they are in the Watchtower, they will not be misled by any nation or ruler in the world.

I have often thought .... that in case of Global Thermonuclear War, that my response would be to get a cooler of beer, a lawn chair, and sit out in the middle of the street, and watch the show.
Not the same as "praying for death", but not the "normal" response.
