It is not clear to me what you are saying, but I will tell you that both "worshipping Jesus" AND "Christmas" are not spoken of in the Bible. Therefore, neither one is a Bible teaching or Bible truth. Worshipping Jesus - ONLY the TRUE God is to be worshipped: Exodus 20:5 - I, Jehovah your God, am a God who requires exclusive devotion Christmas is celebrated on December 25. Note this Scripture about the birth of the Christ: Luke 2:8-11 8 There were also in the same region shepherds living out of doors and keeping watch in the night over their flocks. 9 Suddenly Jehovah’s angel stood before them, and Jehovah’s glory gleamed around them, and they became very fearful. 10 But the angel said to them: “Do not be afraid, for look! I am declaring to you good news of a great joy that all the people will have. 11 For today there was born to you in David’s city a savior, who is Christ the Lord. No, I was not "told" this from "the men who run the wt." The evidence/proof is in the Scriptures themselves. I have read those Scriptures every time I read the entire Bible. The meaning of those words is not changeable, even if the actual words do change. The Bible's message DOES NOT CHANGE.

To learn what the earlier teachings are, is irrelevant to learning the truth about the Bible's true message. God wants us to have the perfect, everlasting life that he had given to Adam and Eve. Because of their disobedience, they lost all of the wonderful gifts that God had given them. God's will is clearly stated at 2 Pet. 3:9 - "he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance." God sent his Son to earth to save us from being destroyed at Armageddon, so that we could have the EVERLASTING gift of Life which Adam basically stole from us. (John 3:16; Rom. 5:12; Ps. 37:29) (John 3:16) “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. Rom. 5:12 - ...through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned—. Ps. 37:29 - The righteous will possess the EARTH, And they will live FOREVER on it.

This simply cannot be the case because the org has morphed so much within the last 100 years that it is no longer even close to what the bible students were. So in the 16th century, what were the teaching of the jws/bible students? Is there ANY documentation of what they taught before the 1700's? Yes, this "simply" CAN be the case... Though there are many who choose to scoff at the WT noting Proverb 4:18, this Scripture clearly indicates WHY things HAVE changed and WILL CONTINUE to change.

Yes, the devil is trying to blind "the unbelievers." And he is doing quite an excellent job! The false teachings, pagan practices, disregard for God's will....and it goes on and on! 2 Cor. 4:4 – [Satan, the Devil] "has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through." You might like to know that back in the beginning, there was ONLY ONE religion...belief in the ONE TRUE GOD. That is one reason why the Bible points out that if a person worships in a way that is not in harmony with God’s Word of truth, he is in reality serving the demons, because he is acting in harmony with what they want and in conflict with God. Thus the Bible explains: “The things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God.”—1 Cor. 10:20; Deut. 32:16, 17. P.S. I was in a "robed-scholarly" sect, not a "naked-sexual" sect.

They are a continuation of the first disciples. They were the ones who did not follow the false teachings that were being promoted by some of the early followers. JW's obey the teachings of Jesus. For example, at Matt. 28:19, 20 Jesus tells his disciples: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them … teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you…” So the JW's obey that command by teaching the people of all the nations.

God warned his people to not adopt the ways of the nearby pagan nations. God does not approve of pagans. This is why true Christians do not practice the pagan customs that are practiced by Christendom today.

The triune aspect of God is actually a Pagan belief. Many of the Pagan Gods and Goddesses were in a triple form. In an effort to convert the pagan nations to Christianity, the early Christian church adopted many Pagan customs, holidays and beliefs including promoting the Triple God concept for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Note also, Matt. 3:16, 17: 16 After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water; and look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw God’s spirit descending like a dove and coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, a voice from the heavens said: “This is MY SON, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

May people know that YOU, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth. – Ps. 83:18 Please read this Scripture in your own Bible. Note: the name Jehovah is in the King James Version: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name ALONE is JEHOVAH, art the MOST HIGH over all the earth. John chapter 17 is a long, heart-felt prayer that Jesus prays to Jehovah. There is no way to conclude anything other than Jesus is praying to his father Jehovah in this passage. Here is part of the long, heart-felt prayer that Jesus prays to Jehovah in John 17. Note especially what the man Jesus says to God at verse 5. 17 JESUS spoke these things, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify YOUR SON so that YOUR SON may glorify YOU, 2 just as YOU have given HIM authority over all flesh, so that HE may give everlasting life to all those whom YOU have given to HIM. 3 THIS means EVERLASTING LIFE, their coming to know YOU, the ONLY true GOD, [this ONLY GOD is Jehovah – Ps. 83:18] and the one whom YOU sent, Jesus Christ. 4 I have glorified YOU on the earth, having finished the work YOU have given ME to do. 5 So now, Father, glorify ME at your side with the glory THAT I HAD alongside you BEFORE the WORLD was. 6 “I have made YOUR name manifest [that is, the name Jehovah – Ps. 83:18] to the men whom YOU gave me out of the world. They were YOURS, and YOU gave them to ME, and they have observed YOUR word. 7 Now they have come to know that all the things YOU gave ME are from YOU; 8 because I have given them the sayings that YOU gave ME, and they have accepted them and have certainly come to know that I CAME as YOUR representative, and they have believed that YOU SENT ME. A final thought… Jesus says at John 8:32 “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It is interesting to compare the similarities in Colossians 1:15-17 with John 1:1-3. Colossians 1:15-17: 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN of ALL creation; 16 because by means of him ALL other things were CREATED in the heavens AND on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible… ALL other things have been CREATED THROUGH him and FOR him. 17 Also, he is BEFORE all other things, and by means of him ALL other things were made to EXIST, John 1:1-3: 1 In the BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in the BEGINNING WITH God. 3 ALL things came into EXISTENCE THROUGH HIM, and apart from him NOT EVEN ONE THING came into EXISTENCE…

Gal 5:16-24 encourages us all to "Keep walking by spirit" and then explains what the "fruitage" is, so we should all TRY to cultivate the fruitage of the spirit.

God has given us the gift of free will, so no one is "forced" to do ANYTHING... God is also the one who reads hearts and will not destroy any who repent (1 Pet. 3:9)... God is also the one who had written in the holy scriptures these words at Heb. 13:17: Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among you and be submissive, for they are keeping watch over you as those who will render an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with sighing, for this would be damaging to you. God wanted the Israelites to obey Moses when he was leading God's people... God is now leading his people by way of his earthly organization.

Actually, the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures does not use the words “new light.” Here is what the wording is: (Proverbs 4:18) But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light That grows brighter and brighter until full daylight.

We know that things WILL change as the LIGHT gets BRIGHTER on our PATH of following God. For those of us who "TRUST in Jehovah," we trust that Jehovah WILL give us WHATEVER we need, WHEN we need it. “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he WILL make your PATHS straight.” - Proverbs 3:5, 6

If you were on a path in the night, you cannot see the path. If you shine a flashlight on the path, then you can now see the path. When it becomes full daylight, you do not need to use the flashlight anymore. Now the light is bright enough for you to clearly see the path. The older teachings of the WT are like the flashlight... They shine SOME light on a darkened path. As the light gets brighter, our path is easier to see. Then we do not need to use the flashlight anymore. The OLD understandings are not as bright as the NEW understandings. So, the flashlight is turned off, and you walk in the NEW source of light. Does that explain it?

With Jesus the OLD Law of the Jews (the Mosaic Law) was replaced with a NEW Law..."the law of the Christ." (Gal. 6:2) The Law was simplified. (Matt. 22:35-40) Galatians 6:2 – Go on carrying the burdens of one another, and in this way you will FULFILL the law of the Christ. Matthew 22:35-40 – And one of them [the Pharisees], versed in the Law, tested him [Jesus] by asking: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these TWO commandments the WHOLE Law hangs and the Prophets.”

When Jesus was here he said at John 16:12, 13: “I still have many things to say to you, but you are NOT able to bear them NOW. However, when that one comes, the spirit of the truth, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak of his own initiative, but what he hears he will speak…" So, it would seem that the light was not all there when Jesus was here...

The SUN does not get brighter, but the LIGHT gets brighter... That is how I know when it is time to get up...When I can SEE!

That was an interesting picture you posted about the kangaroos in the "Humor" post Noah's Aargh! It made me wonder... Maybe Jehovah "transferred" the kangaroos to Australia?... Or maybe the land masses were closer together back then, so it wasn't such a difficult trip?...

God created BOTH male and female...then had Noah take one of each on the Ark. The Bible can answer ALL of our questions very nicely... We really don't need to wonder if we just read the Bible... God gives us ALL of the answers...YAY!!!
