  1. I think Jesus said that because he did not want that God would punish them soon after. Jesus surely wanted that God would give them time to repent. Disciple Stephen asked the same think when he was stoned to death. And Saul repented and became a disciple. Acts 7:8 After throwing him outside the city, they began stoning him. The witnesses laid down their outer garments at the feet of a young man called Saul.59 As they were stoning Stephen, he made this appeal: “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then, kneeling down, he cried out with a strong voice: “Jehovah, do not charge this sin against them.” And after saying this, he fell asleep in death. @4Jah2me think about all the people that died in the flood. Only 8 persons from all the mankind at that time were saved. And think about all the children that died. And what about the Canaanites who were killed by the Israelites and the children of the Canaanites. When Jehovah ordered the elimination of them all, would he resurrect them back to give them a chance to study the truth? We don't have scriptures that would say that directly. Instead Jesus said: "those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment".
  2. But when Jesus told about resurrection he was not talking to anointed. He was answering a question some Sadducees had about resurrection. The question was who of the seven brothers would get the woman they all had been married to in the resurrection. And there are no scriptures that would say that at the resurrection people will get married. So it is best not to go beyond what is in the Holy Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 4:6 “Do not go beyond the things that are written,” I remember that the WT literature teaches that. But do we have any scripture that would say that directly? I don't think so. Instead it is a supposition, that every person should get a chance to repent. Well every person has a concience and every person can understand what things are bad. So bad people know deep inside that they are bad, without anyone telling them. Romans 2:12 For all those who sinned without law will also perish without law; but all those who sinned under law will be judged by law. 13 For the hearers of law are not the ones righteous before God, but the doers of law will be declared righteous. 14 For when people of the nations, who do not have law, do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them, and by their own thoughts they are being accused or even excused. This statment was directly derived from the following scriptures: John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne and the One seated on it. From before him the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and the Grave were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.
  3. Yes, so sad. It would have been better if they had understood what the removal of the constant feature means and also what the disgusting thing means. I have an idea what that means, and I will wait till I see that happen. I will not start to count down 1335 days before that. (Hopefully)
  4. Thanks for that compliment. Here on the internet I have more time to take it easy. In real life unfortunately I regret things I say everyday due to stress. Especially at work. I think Jehovah God through Jesus gives me constantly new challenges to train on. I work at an apartment house construction site and there are a lot of things to get irritated at. I pray every morning Jehovah God's help to evolve the new personality in its entirety, to put on Jesus Christ. And little by little I see progress. It is helpful to read the New Testament, with clear warnings. That motivates to take one's own behaviour seriously. Sayings such as: Matthew 12:35 The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things. 36 I tell you that men will render an account on Judgment Day for every unprofitable saying that they speak; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.” James 1: 26 If any man thinks he is a worshipper of God but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile. Yes, I like that God's word is very clear and specific. Especially the New Testament. I regret that I used to read the Bible from cover to cover all the time the last 15 years. Just a few months ago I begun to focus on the NT.
  5. There is a 5th danger. Because of erroneous understandings about events tied to the conclusion of this system of things, we could lose our vigilance and become disoriented. Let's say we believe the WT organization will exist all the way to paradise. But what happens if it is taken over by the government and it starts to promote worship of the beast? Or if the WT organization is liquadated, like it happened in Russia? Or something in between happens? What would you do? And if it becomes a crime to witness about Jesus? And the following really happens everywhere in the world and it continues for some years. Matthew 24:9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. How would you start to feel after 1 year, or 2 years or 3 years? Unfortunately many will be stumbled just as Jesus said. Stumbled must refer to those who once believed, but lost their faith. In this scenario it would be really helpful to understand all that is related to the final time, times and half a time. Wouldn't it? Both Revelation and Daniel tell us about that specific time period. Daniel is even more specific. Daniel 12:7 “How long will it be to the end of these marvelous things?” 7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was up above the waters of the stream, as he raised his right hand and his left hand to the heavens and swore by the One who is alive forever: “It will be for an appointed time, appointed times, and half a time. As soon as the dashing to pieces of the power of the holy people comes to an end, all these things will come to their finish.” 11 “And from the time that the constant feature has been removed and the disgusting thing that causes desolation has been put in place, there will be 1,290 days.12 “Happy is the one who keeps in expectation and who arrives at the 1,335 days! Here we see that the constant feature will be removed. And that will be followed by 1335 difficult days. I think enduring that time will be easier if we are confident that after 1335 days it will get better. Don't you think that?
  6. That's encouraging that you too have understood it right. Could it be that Jesus' presence begins with his arrival, with the visible manifestation? Revelation 1:7 Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him.Yes, Amen. Normally after for example a guest has arrived he is present. But what should happen after that? Mark 13:24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, 25 and the stars will be falling out of heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then he will send out the angels and will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from earth’s extremity to heaven’s extremity. Yes, we see that when Jesus arrives in this spectacular way, then he will with the help of his angels gather the living anointed to heaven. And we have learnt that, after that, Jesus' marriage feast with his bride, the anointed will take place. But we don't know how long that marrige feast will go on in heaven. And the Bible says that nations will gather at Armageddon to fight against Jesus. Armageddon is a place in Israel. And a number of people in the world belive that Jesus or just Messiah will come and rule from Jerusalem. So could it be that armies of the world will just because of that gather at litteral Har-Megiddon to prevent Jesus' rule over the earth? The war at Armageddon would mark the beginning of the elimination of the wicked. 13 And I saw three unclean inspired expressions that looked like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and they perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.15 “Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one who stays awake and keeps his outer garments, so that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness.”16 And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Armageddon. After the destruction of Babylon the Great demons should know that the end is near. And in a last attempt to prevent Jesus to begin his rule over the earth, they the demons, would gather the world's armies to litteral Har-Meggidon so that Jesus could not begin to rule from Jerusalem. Could it be that God's kingdom will have some kind of earthly representation in litteral Jerusalem? There are a lot of scriptures making a such apparence. I am not dogmatic either way. I can not reject a such possibility, but I can not either prove it yet. The battle at Armageddon was the sixth bowl of God's anger. Then the next fase is the seventh bowl. It could take some time after the battle at Armageddon for the seventh bowl to perform all its features. Revelation 16:17 The seventh one poured out his bowl on the air. At this a loud voice came out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying: “It has come to pass!” 18 And there were flashes of lightning and voices and thunders, and there was a great earthquake unlike any that had occurred since men came to be on the earth, so extensive and so great was the earthquake.19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and Babylon the Great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Also, every island fled, and mountains were not found. 21 Then great hailstones, each about the weight of a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, for the plague was unusually great. Oddly Babylon the Great is mentioned here again after Armageddon. How is that possible? Was just a part of Babylon the Great destroyed earlier? Maybe the center of Babylon the Great was destroyed first. So it lost its power over the kings of the earth. And then later it was destroyed completely. (You surely remember that I believe that Babylon the Great is New York) Yes, you have surely realized that my view of Armageddon differs from the WT organization's.
  7. That is very true about how humans make choices in life. I have heard some psychologist explain just that. It is then good to have that in mind when we evaluate our choices of beliefs. We should ask ourself, what I currently belive, is it actually true, or is it just what I want to believe? Very true statement Tom, great thanks for that!
  8. Maybe some do. But for me it has an other effect. I get time to mature spiritually. I don't consider myself yet fully in right form. Colossians 1:22 he has now reconciled by means of that one’s fleshly body through his death, in order to present you holy and unblemished and open to no accusation before him—….. 27 to whom God has been pleased to make known among the nations the glorious riches of this sacred secret, which is Christ in union with you, the hope of his glory. 28 He is the one we are proclaiming, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in union with Christ. 29 To this end I am indeed working hard, exerting myself with his strength that is operating powerfully within me. Philippians 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that the one who started a good work in you will bring it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:9 And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10 that you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; Philippians 2:15 so that you may come to be blameless and innocent, children of God without a blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world, 16 keeping a tight grip on the word of life. Then I may have reason for rejoicing in Christ’s day. 1 Thessalonians 5: 23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may the spirit and soul and body of you brothers, sound in every respect, be preserved blameless at the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 3: 12 Moreover, may the Lord cause you to increase, yes, to abound in love for one another and for all, just as we do for you, 13 so that he may make your hearts firm, blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the presence of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. 2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved ones, since you are awaiting these things, do your utmost to be found finally by him spotless and unblemished and in peace. Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
  9. I agree with you on this and about the corona virus and how they will exploit it, to the fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation. Have you heard about the simulation of a corona virus pandemic "they" run in October, 2 months prior to the outbreak? If not, you can see two videos about that on the topic I posted.
  10. It depends on the circumstances. We need of course to have a place to live on. So we might need to buy it. I rent my apartment. And I have not money to buy. But I am content with that. But if I had two houses, then I would really have to think about Jesus' advice to sell off.
  11. Witness, I am also expecting that to happen, based on prophecies in the Bible. But not on those Pearl Doxey does. And you quoted Deutoronomy 13:1-3 This scripture actually say that false prophets can also foretell things that come true, in order to get trust and then be able to further deceive. Deutoronomy 13:1 “In case a prophet or one who foretells by dreams arises in your midst and gives you a sign or a portent, 2 and the sign or the portent about which he spoke to you comes true while he is saying, ‘Let us walk after other gods, gods that you have not known, and let us serve them,’ 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer, for Jehovah your God is testing you to know whether you love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul.
  12. The 1000 year reign I am amazed how some can teach that the 1000 year reign has already been going on. In Revelation 20 we read about the 1000 year reign. And it comes after the events described in Revelation 19. And those events are first, the execution of judgement of Babylon the Great. Secondly Jesus Christ's marriage feast in heaven. Thirdly the elimination of the wicked from the earth. After that, chapter 20 tells that Satan is locked up in the abyss and can not mislead the nations during 1000 years. During the 1000 years Jesus Christ and the 144000 kings and priest will rule the earth. Quite easy to understand. I believe all Jehovah's witnesses understand this easily. There is no doubt that Satan has been misleading the nations on earth until now from the times of Adam and Eve. So it is impossible that Satan would have been locked up in an abyss for 1000 years. And during the 1000 years when Jesus and the 144000 rule the earth paradise will be formed on all the earth. So how can someone claim that Christ's 1000 year reign has been going on already? Logically it is impossible. Good things will happen when Jesus and the 144 000 begin to rule the earth. Revelation 7:16 says: "They will hunger no more nor thirst anymore, neither will the sun beat down on them nor any scorching heat, 17 because the Lamb, who is in the midst of the throne, will shepherd them and will guide them to springs of waters of life. And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.” In the summer it can really be hot. And many get burned by the sun really easily. Evidently Jesus will make changes in the atmosphere, so that the sun won't be able to burn the skin. We know that Adam and Eve could go naked in the Garden of Eden. Evidently the sun did not burn at that time. One could ask why not? It has to do with the pre-flood climate. The atmosphere must have been more protective against the extreme heat, and also the cold. Simply the atmosphere was perfectly arranged by Jehovah God to give a comfortable life on earth. Evidently those original conditions will be restored by God's kingdom. Jesus gave evidence of that when he spoke about a re-creation. Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you, in the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Revelation 22 tells more about the healing of the people during the 1000 years: 1"And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of its main street. On both sides of the river were trees of life producing 12 crops of fruit, yielding their fruit each month. And the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations." Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. 2 I also saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 2 Peter 3:13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell. But what about resurrection. Will there occur an earthly resurrection during the 1000 years? According to Revelation 20:5 the earthly resurrection will not occur during the 1000 years. It says clearly: 5 "(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ended.)" That is in deed logical. Because during the 1000 years people will multiply and fill the earth. And then after the 1000 years Satan will mislead a lot of people and they will then be eliminated. After that there will again be space to fill on earth. So the resurrected can then occupy the space that will be freed when those who followed Satan are eliminated. Jesus also spoke about the resurrected, that they will not marry and get married. So this should not happen during the 1000 year reign. Because people will during the 1000 years marry and get married and have children. Matthew 22:30 for in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are as angels in heaven. Luke 19:27 However, some of the Sadducees, those who say there is no resurrection, came and asked him: 28 “Teacher, Moses wrote us, ‘If a man’s brother dies, leaving a wife, but he was childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’ 29 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife but died childless. 30 So the second 31 and the third married her. Likewise even all seven; they died and left no children. 32 Finally the woman also died. 33 Consequently, in the resurrection, whose wife will she become? For the seven had her as a wife.” 34 Jesus said to them: “The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. 36 In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection. 37 But that the dead are raised up, even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush, when he calls Jehovah ‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’ 38 He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.” 39 In response some of the scribes said: “Teacher, you spoke well.” 40 For they no longer had the courage to ask him a single question. Mark 12:24 Jesus said to them: “Is not this why you are mistaken, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God? 25 For when they rise from the dead, neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are as angels in the heavens. And evidently wicked people will not be resurrected to be taught righteousness. Instead they will just appear before God and get a judgement. Jesus said: John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
  13. Ok, I have read your reply twice. But I don't get it how the 1000 years are already going on. But because this topic was about an other subject, I will put down my arguments about the 1000 years in a new topic.
  14. This could well lead to what Revelation 13 foretells. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority. 3 I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but its mortal wound had been healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration. Yes, people will be so relieved and happy with the authorities when the authorities will help during this pandemic. And propably stop the spreading of this virus. People will adore the beast, because of that.
  15. What can we expect the outcome to be from this Corona virus pandemic? The last year simulation named Event 201 could well have the answer. The following video gives the highlights of the simulation.
  16. 🤣@James Thomas Rook Jr. I am serious. And I am happy for you if you can get a good laugh from it.
  17. I think Jehovah God had forseen that there will exist free software and computers and smartphones so that everyone who wants can easily confirm for themselves that the sign of the woman in Revelation corresponds to September 23, 2017. After all quite many find this to be an extraordinary coincidence that could just not have happened just randomly. I really believe this gives us the time from when the war in heaven begun. And this corona virus seem to confirm that the 4 horsemen of the Revelation have begun their ride. Especielly the effect it has on the WT organization. Looks like Jesus as the rider of the white horse uses this corona virus to produce some organizatorial changes among the Jehovah's witnesses. I am very curious how this will help JWs spiritually.
  18. Not really. Because God himself spoke to, for example Job about constellations. And how could David say that God had named every star? I believe David new names of stars and constallations Jehovah God had named.
  19. You can download a software that show this and then you can show it to a child.
  20. Not necessary. To the opposit, I am sure you know that Jesus is called both the Lamb and the Lion. Revelation 5:5 But one of the elders said to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”:
  21. Did Jesus or any apostle advise to be economically smart in a such way anywhere? I have only found advices like this: 2 Thessalonians 3:12 To such people we give the order and exhortation in the Lord Jesus Christ that they should work quietly and eat food they themselves earn. 13 For your part, brothers, do not give up in doing good. 1 Thessalonians 2:9 Surely you remember, brothers, our labor and toil. We were working night and day, so that we would not put an expensive burden on any one of you, when we preached the good news of God to you. 1 Thessalonians 4: 11 Make it your aim to live quietly and to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we instructed you, 12 so that you may walk decently in the eyes of people outside and not need anything.
  22. Hebrews 13:5 Let your way of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.” Acts 4:32 Moreover, the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and not even one of them would say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33 And with great power the apostles continued giving the witness about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and undeserved kindness was upon them all in large measure. 34 In fact, no one was in need among them, for all those who owned fields or houses would sell them and bring the value of what was sold, and they would deposit it at the feet of the apostles. In turn distribution would be made to each one according to his need. So Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barʹna·bas (which means, when translated, “Son of Comfort”), a Levite, a native of Cyʹprus, owned a piece of land, and he sold it and brought the money and deposited it at the feet of the apostles.
  23. It is true. But that frase can not be aplied to the Old Testament. Because much of what God allowed to happen in the Old Testament were just things God allowed temporally. Here are more scriptures about how to be Jesus' disciple: Luke 14:33 In the same way, you may be sure that not one of you who does not say good-bye to all his belongings can be my disciple. Luke 12:32 “Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom. 33 Sell your belongings and give gifts of mercy. Make money pouches that do not wear out, a never-failing treasure in the heavens, where no thief gets near and no moth consumes. 34 For where your treasure is, there your hearts will be also. Luke 16:9 “Also, I say to you: Make friends for yourselves by means of the unrighteous riches, so that when such fail, they may receive you into the everlasting dwelling places. 10 The person faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and the person unrighteous in what is least is unrighteous also in much. 11 Therefore, if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with the unrighteous riches, who will entrust you with what is true? 12 And if you have not proved yourselves faithful in connection with what belongs to another, who will give you something for yourselves? 13 No servant can be a slave to two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves to God and to Riches.”
