I am seriously looking for TRUTH. Yes I do feel lost in the wilderness.
But, when Jerusalem was about to be destroyed (70C.E) didn't some return 'home' there, only to perish when the Romans slaughtered them. They returned to Jerusalem because they lost their faith in Almighty God and in the words of Jesus. And therefore they died through lack of faith.
I do not lack faith in Almighty God or in Jesus Christ. But I do lack immediate direction. However, at this moment in time, I would not return to the Jehovah's Witnesses Org. In my opinion that Org will be either made clean or destroyed. Either way, right now I would not want to be part of it.
I also do not pay any attention to those on here that condemn me to death or tell me that I have no hope left.
My faith is not in earthling man. My faith in Almighty God through Jesus Christ.

Srecko, I have just read on the MSN news that there has been an earthquake in Croatia. Are you and your family all safe ? I hope you are not injured in this. Best regards, John.

Ohh, thank you very much for care. Yes it was very strong, 6,3 Richter. Epicenter is in Petrinja, little town about 45 km from Zagreb. Town was very devastated.
In Zagreb, it was very scary too. I was at job in that moment. Building is old, but massive and reconstructed/strengthen after 1st earthquake in March.
Our houses (we got 2) are very old, but standing (with some minor damage occurred in March).
Greetings and stay well. All best to you and family!

Can you suggest an alternative study bible to the NWT please. Don't know if i should make this a topic but it might just cause more disagreements which are a waste of time and space. I want a large paper copy so that I'm not looking at this computer screen all day.
Thanks.

I like the Catholic "New Jerusalem Bible" for the variety of footnotes. You might need a magnifying glass, however. I did.

I also enjoy reading the translations have 4 and sometimes 8 translations on the same page. I have two of these, one of each variety.
This is not so different from going to Biblehub or blueletterbible online. As you are reading and might be wondering about the words chosen, you can instantly click to see the passage in several additional translations, and if you are inclined, you can also click on the Strongs/Thayers/Gesenius style definitions, or read a commentary on that whole chapter.

Thank you. I do tend to use Biblehub for individual scriptures but no idea how to get 4 translation up together. One scripture that always plays on my mind is Matthew 24 v 8.
All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
The difference seems important to me but I'm not sure why yet. I tend to think of the birth pangs as being the birth of the Kingdom. Thanks again.

Practical things are so much easier than 'spiritual things'. I've spent the day working on one of my vehicles, hard physical work, but so much easier than trying to understand God's written word. Oh where are those True Anointed Ones that will guide 'earthly' people ? I'm convinced that the 'earthly class' are not supposed to fully understand scripture...... One only has to look on this forum to see the totally different 'understandings' people have, or don't have.
