We do not know what they understood. I suspect their understanding based at best on Dan.9:26 was limited at the time until it actually came to an end. Otherwise it would be improper to assume one could act on Galatians 6:1. If you doubt the Governing Body's application of this scripture to themselves, that is fair enough. That is a question of personal understanding. There is nothing wrong in airing doubts, (with due regard for the audience of course). But as you are publishing a flawed argument to say that they are wrong and are misleading others, regardless of how it is euphemised, then this is more serious. Why would anyone in their right mind go in to a house, unchaperoned with a romantically involved partner, and in danger of falling asleep? They must have presented very badly to the elders involved. People give their lives for any number of causes without faith in a resurrection. This noble quality of humans is exploited by "cult" leaders regardless of the damage it might do to the individual, and with no thought of benefit to them. Followers are merely pawns. Interestingly, the word "cult" has come to carry a load of meaning and association that has little to do with it's original etymology and derivation. Bit like the word "gay". The offensive behaviour individuals display toward each other on forum space is for themselves to sort out generally. The parameters and guidelines are there for all to apply. Moderators can be appealed to by protagonists if they so wish, and of course moderators can intervene as they see fit. However, slanderous and offensive statements made about millions of decent people worldwide exceed the boundaries of acceptable use of this forum, be it open or closed, that is if those guidelines listed above are still in force.
