Evacuated reacted to Anna in How are we to understand the GB/Slave interpreting scripture, as the sole chanel, and at the same time accept that they can err?
To a certain extend I agree with your statement regarding the change in "language" when speaking to outsiders. JW's, do, and should do the same. Some don't, and as a result lose their "worldly" audience. As for GJ though to have intentionally used these comments to mislead, I do not think so, as this would be very short sighted. He must know that there will be other JWs who would hear his comment.
The other thing is you do not know "he wouldn't dare to say anything like this to active members". That's just your opinion. Would you have ever thought you would see Tony Morris "dare" to go shopping for boxes of hard liquor? If TM was worried about being spotted he would have worn a disguise, or sent someone else.  Again, it seems to me that what the GB dares or not dares to do or say lives in the minds of others.

I have heard it said that soon pedophilia will be classed as just another sexual orientation and that pedophiles will feel discriminated against and will insist on their "rights".
Just to lighten things up a bit, are you the "man on the rocks" ?  😄: Cool song actually

This is the ideal procedure. I have never been able to think of an alternative.

Evacuated got a reaction from James Thomas Rook Jr. in Why do the elders have to announce when a publisher decides to spend 70 hours a month in service?
    Are the hours actually announced?
It is 60 hrs a month for an aux.pioneer isn't it?. The 70 hrs is just an average out per month for a regular pioneer's annual commitment to at least 840 in the 12 months. It is only a minimum actualy. Many do more. And many don't make the goal for a variety of reasons.
Hmm... Perhaps it would be more interesting to announce at the end of a month how many hours those making a commitment actually did get? That might even up the boasting stakes a bit.

People give their lives for any number of causes without faith in a resurrection. This noble quality of humans is exploited by "cult" leaders regardless of the damage it might do to the individual, and with no thought of benefit to them. Followers are merely pawns.
Interestingly, the word "cult" has come to carry a load of meaning and association  that has little to do with it's original etymology and derivation. Bit like the word "gay".
One current definition that sums up the way many use the word today is  "cult = a religion I don't like".

Try this criteria to identify a cult
    Any takers?
Run by a charismatic, authoritarian leader, or leadership group, who seeks extreme levels of control over followers. Uses a hierarchical pyramid structure with layers of secrecy surrounding the leader.              Followers are socially, psychologically and sometimes physically isolated. Leader's behaviour is justified by a totalitarian belief system that claims to have all the answers. A brainwashing process takes place. Total immersion in the group leaves no time or space for self-generated relationships or activities The group alternates an apparently loving or attentive approach with escalating levels of stress or fear. This could be implemented through sleep or food deprivation, apocalyptic predictions, or threats of violence or sexual abuse. This process of coercive control creates followers who are controlled by or for the leader without regard for their own needs.

Check and see what comments I have made regarding ill-advised behaviour and statements of others in the past.
The offensive behaviour individuals display toward each other on  forum space is for themselves to sort out generally. The parameters and guidelines are there for all to apply. Moderators can be appealed to by protagonists if they so wish, and of course moderators can intervene as they see fit.
However, slanderous and offensive statements made about millions of decent people worldwide  exceed the boundaries of acceptable use of this forum, be it open or closed, that is if those guidelines listed above are still in force. If they are not, then let those who made them rescind them.
    They have already been set.

Some of the posts here are thoroughly offensive and bigoted and seem to be bringing the forum down to the level of a mere exchange of personal "flaming" messages.

Evacuated got a reaction from Judith Sweeney in Jehovah speeding up the work or increase. But increase or decrease ?
This is a  highly subjective estimate related to to a very suspect sampling of responses. Regardless, estimates of expected numbers of publishers do not include those who lapse. And there is no survey figure available on how many were lapsed and then reactivated amongst the current publisher figure.
Notwithstanding the flaky estimate of PEW, an interesting question arises. At one time it was possible to estimate a figure for those who appeared to be falling by the wayside. Since 2016, the currently released annual dataset no longer allows for this. However, I would guess at a deficit approaching a couple of million (including deaths) during the last 10 years where estimates were possible.
How should this be viewed? Not with surprise.
Paul lamented in his day "For there are many—I used to mention them often but now I mention them also with weeping—who are walking as enemies of the torture stake of the Christ." Ph.3:18.
Jesus experienced similarly: "He went on to say: “This is why I have said to you, no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” Because of this, many of his disciples went off to the things behind and would no longer walk with him."John 6:65-66.
Our assignment as an organisation is to "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations" Matt.28:19.
Our assignment as individuals is to "keep working out our own salvation" Ph.2:12.
Elders as shepherds in the congregations have a particular assignment not only to care spiritually for existing "sheep", but to go looking for the "lost" ones. Acts 20:28, Compare Luke15:4-7.
Presumably, all in your respective areas are carrying out their particular assignment diligently?

There is churn among Jehovah’s Witnesses but it is offset by a higher participation rate. After all, with many religions, members may not actually leave, but how would you know if they did?

$56,000,000 worth of care demonstrated for the plight of our brothers in Russia. I am pretty certain they appreciate it even if you do not.
"I also want to thank all my many friends from all over the world. You supported me with your letters, encouraging thoughts, beautiful drawings and various gifts. All this helped me to understand that I am not alone, and that I have a large global family." Dennis Christensen (Court statement)
I would say "cheap at twice the price", and not a patch on the price that was put on your salvation: " (The ransom price for their life is so precious That it is always beyond their reach) Ps49:8; "But it was with precious blood, like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, that of Christ" 1Pet.1:19.
