How many of you love your husbands? ha ha ha.. Very Funny ? ????
    There-was-a-group-of-women-gathered-at-a-seminar-on-how-to-live-in-a-loving-relationship
There was a group of women gathered at a seminar on how to live in a loving relationship with your husband.
The women were asked, ‘How many of you love your husbands?’
All the women raised their hands.
Then they were asked, ‘When was the last time you told your husband you loved him?’
Some women answered today, some yesterday, some didn’t remember..
The women were then told to take their cell phones and send the following text to their respective husband: I love you, sweetheart.
Then the women were told to exchange phones and read the responding text messages.
Here are some of the replies:
    1. Eh, mother of my children, are you sick?
    2. What now? Did you crash the car again?
    3. I don’t understand what you mean?
    4. What did you do now? I won’t forgive you this time!!!
    5. ?!?
    6. Don’t beat about the bush, just tell me how much you need?
    7. Am I dreaming? ???????
    8. If you don’t tell me who this message is actually for, you will die today…!!!
    9. I asked you not to drink anymore!!
    and the best one

@Queen Esther The motto of the story is this for success in a marriage: First Love one another, Communication is essential, and a three-fold cord with Jehovah most important! There also must be forgiveness openly between two, husband and wife.
@Dr Ira Byock, MD states in his book; "The Four Things That Matter Most"
Four simple phrases, "Please Forgive me," "I forgive you," "Thank you," "I Love you". If we practice these life-affirming words in our day-to-day lives it not only will improve our emotional well-being, bring more Love and respect between Husband and Wife. It gives us also wisdom to honor others, and what we really want from those who really matter to us.
Of course Jehovah will also Bless a three-fold cord with him that shows their Love and Devotion to Him and each other.
    Hope this helps? ????

@Queen Esther When we become perfect that is wonderful! Satan is attacking families and marriage. Good words, love and care and communication are what the Bible teaches. We have the Owners manual, yes, I enjoyed this book. It is a national best seller. I am a open minded person and share and encourage as many as I can. There is nothing in this book against the Bible, I've been able to help others learn much. We can all decide when we need research on matters of happy communication, it's not something we learn easy. Personalities can be very different and our protection yes is God's Words. Thank you for your thoughts, I enjoy sharing and communicating and this book also helped me. Agape, ???

We must not think from our own perspective only.  There are many people in Jehovah's organization that come with a lot of baggage.  Some have never learnt to say " I love you" and others do not know how to show love - they have to learn this.  They may be in Jehovah's organization being healed from a bad life and they learn slowly how to communicate and show love.  One does not change overnight all the problems you had before by being baptized... so many are still on the road to learn.
I was talking yesterday to a very nice young brother on field service.  He must be 32 years old.   He is seriously in love with a sister and he is troubled by the fact that Swedes do not show gushy feelings.  The love of his life is Spanish (people who show their feelings).  So he told me that a friend (not Swedish) gave him the advice to spill  his tremendous love for this sister and to be honest with her. But it is giving him sooo much pain to do this....he may never get to the point to do this.
This gave me insight in how different cultures can be - that a young man is so stifled in his communication to tell a girl he is crazy over her.   Yes - communication is the life blood of any good relationship and especially in marriage.
I was happy recently when I saw a photo of my son and his wife on Facebook and he declared to the world that she is his "best friend."  We must be best friends (one can tell your best friend anything and trust them with the revelations) as well as husband and wife.

By the way - I can add a few more sagely comments from husbands to the list above - but I may offend some!

I must not be sharp here in reply, and I will not be. I have been told to play nice.
Instead, let us focus on how Putin will shake in his boots as he reads a letter on the business stationary of Bob's Cleaning Service.
Okay, there are elements of comedy in everything, but one must not be distracted from the big picture. Paul said to Agrippa: 'I know you know about this, for it has not been done in a corner." Same here with the Russian situation.
It is clear that it is accomplished by God's organization. Not only does the organization brilliantly coordinate this campaign, prompting front page coverage from the NY Times, and Time Magazine on 'day of delivery,' but it is intensified because they have already succeeded in unifying a loyal people. All they had to do is ask individual JWs once to write - they did nothing else - and the response is more than anyone could ever have imagined. Clearly, organization is not a bad thing. It is a good thing.
Our Russian brothers will know that they triggered a worldwide flock to jw.org - "is this website really extremist, as I've been told?" people will ask. Who knows what will happen when millions discover that it is not?
It even thwarts opposers who were hoping to spin their pissy Austrailain story forever, but now it has been replaced in everyone's attention by a situation that makes Jehovah's Witnesses the good guys in the eyes of almost everyone.
Mitigating this somewhat is that the fact that newbies screw up everywhere. It is part of the learning process. Unfortunately, it is a constant of life and is not unique to our people. People learn, and learn well, by making mistakes.
As Mark Twain said: 'A cat that sits on a hot stove will never sit on a hot stove again. Nor will it sit on a cold one, for they all look hot.'

Too funny!  Yes, they should value the concept that people need to hear and see. What about on-going  training for those with the aptitude for it. Someone should be adequately and thoroughly trained so they could be a kind of consultant for other groups.
I asked an elder in the field service about it yesterday and  he had little to offer.  I suggested that a serious complication could come up in the world where every KH might need to be a part of a link-up and then we wouldn't be able to participate, so it is urgent to have it fixed.

Awww you should have! This feed, including "bible speaks" defense rhetoric was getting my funny juices flowing (hence the memes) I probably would have enjoyed it. But you're probably right about the easily understood part. You know I received my first negative like on here? (Oh, I dont have the crying smiley I was going to insert here) And I thought it was a pretty good comment. Perhaps I should have liked it myself.

They can indeed.......and do extensively. But there is a gentle reminder at Proverbs 27:2......

Here it is. And the caption says "Mail in the USA. All these are letters to Russian officials in defense of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia". Don't worry about the privacy of that person, their Instagram account is public. The sad thing is this person was repeatedly informed that these are not our letters by a large number of the friends in the comments. She deleted all the comments and disabled further commenting. The even sadder thing is I have a feeling she is stubbornly keeping her post there because it has over 1500 likes, (which shows how many were duped) and all her other posts have barely 40, so she must be very proud of it! This picture was shared like wildfire by many others on all the social media as our letters to Russia ......

@Anna Perhaps you should only stick to jw.org? People can like their own opinions and posts. Many do sharing their own opinions, but contrast to other sites, this is called theworldnewsmedia.org There is no confusion. If something offends you perhaps stay around from the post. Many work hard here to share their thoughts. So please don't offend yourself from asking them to have your opinions. We are all accountable and many do very well in their work. Agree,  Ann. Seems like you can post any old picture or video with any date about some current event and call it something and people would believe it and forward it to others.  Witnesses  should learn to spot fake news and evaluate information as they should be more attuned to what is truthful.  We  were warned in the Kingdom Ministry years ago when the Internet was new.

Here is a nice bit of trivia I heard: IF we have sent 9 million letters to one official (a realistic possibility) and each envelope is 1mm thick and  stacked on top of the other, then they will reach higher than Mt. Everest . I like this visual. Better than the picture of a US post office with Christmas mail, hailed as our letters to Russia. Yes, this was circulated on social media and thousands fell for it, just like they did with the "announcement at morning worship"

It's hard to imagine that traffic to jw.org will not increase, perhaps even explode. In view of the publicity, people will want to see if it is truly extremist. This may be especially true with those we find difficult to reach: the newsworthy and well-connected. What will be the result when they discover that it is not?
Perhaps that is the greatest contribution our Russian brothers make to Jehovah.
True, some are preaching the Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter are proclaiming the Christ out of love, for they know that I have been appointed to defend the good news; but the former do it out of contentiousness, not with a pure motive, for they are intending to create trouble for me in my prison bonds. With what result? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed, and I rejoice over this. ...  Phillipians 1:15-18

@Dennis Gilman I agree! Of course they won't read the letters. However, if they got 49,000.000 letters total, each official got 6 x 8,220,000 Witnesses, even young ones, it will send out a LOUD ANNOUNCEMENT to the Russian Federation and Putin that look at the response! They thought they were only dealing with 175,000 JW's Russian? No, we are a United People Worldwide and Love are whole family! Numbers will speak that the World is watching, and Jehovah's Witnesses are United with their God Jehovah! To me that shows we are bigger than he thought? He may not know or understand we have the Creator of this Universe behind us! The Nations will soon all know Jehovah! Psalms  chapter 2 says it all.

I agree with several of you that ours is not the only religion that is being persecuted. I did read an article about a Baptist minister that has been there for six years or so who was arrested under the same charge and is now leaving his missionary field and returning to USA. However, most other religions are being persecuted as individual churches or groups. Ours is the only one (at least at this time) that is persecuted in-mass. Congregations do not even have to have violated their extremist laws personally to risk being shutdown and having assets confiscated and members jailed for worship of the only true God.

Letters from millions of people from all over the world and in different languages? Who will open them, sort them, translate them? Hardly Putin. He will probably sample a few. I worked for top executives  for many years and never knew one to open letters.  At best it might be delegated to some officer who will manage the whole affair and do some kind of précis of them, that is, if the whole lot are not discarded.

That doesn't mean that I did not write mine but not to Putin.  The very fact that we did something shows that we are giving Jehovah something to bless. But Putin opening thousands of letters? Hardly.  Wishful thinking.

The trick will be to generate such worldwide publicity, to make every person aware, that for Putin to snuff out Jehovah’s Witnesses will be comparable to his strangling a cat on live TV. He may decide not to do it. He wants to be regarded as wise, as firm where necessary, but certainly not as an unhinged Kim Jong-un.
To be sure, he plays hardball when he has to, but he may come to realize that here he does not have to. What with Post Offices around the world being crushed with the volume of JW letters, likely from every Witness in the world, (to him or to one of his associates) everyone except the most disconnected may become aware of the situation soon to be decided by him. Will he want to be an international pariah? All our letters will be respectful, [except some seeded in by those religious enemies who want the ban to proceed] in sharp contrast to how he is usually portrayed in the West.
He may get fed up, not with us, but with the house church that is trying to feed him the line that jw.org is extremist, doing so for the purpose of taking out the competition. He may, on a night he cannot sleep, peruse jw.org, see that it plainly is not extremist, as every other nation in the world sees, and come to resent the house church that would have him look like a total ass on the world stage. In short, he may come to realize that, what with all the very real concerns facing his country, Jehovah’s Witnesses are not one of them.

There was a report (does anyone have it?) that our brothers in Russia have withdrawn all appeals and have instead requested the largest possible courtroom for the April 5th hearing, the 'overflow' courtroom. Though I haven't confirmed it (you may know all about it) it is exactly what they would do - play this out before the largest possible audience.
It is just how Jehovah is having it play out on the world wide today. The GB invites us to write, to bring our gift to the altar. Our people respond to such an enthusiastic degree that national Post Offices are getting crushed.  Of course, this leads to publicity everywhere as to just why that is, and the reason is astounding to non-Witnesses. I'd be surprised if every Witness in the world does not write to Putin or one of his chums. Surely, the world takes notice of a faith where each member takes such an interest in each other - especially since they risk getting run over in the parking lot of their own church once services are over. Putin may just load the letters on supertankers and sink them at sea - just how do you cope with millions of unexpected letters - but he cannot fail to be know that they exist.
Those who hate Jehovah's Witnesses join in the fray, writing letters in support of the ban, like the Edomites of Psalm 137 who screamed "lay it bare!' This almost makes it better, for it adds to the tonnage. But more importantly, everyone takes their place on the world stage. Let the people firmly and publicly divide themselves into the sheep or goats category. Perhaps the GB is luring them all, as with hooks in their jaws.
Meanwhile, note how our people conduct themselves. Note how extraordinarily respectful they are (as is seen in our videos) toward  Russian authorities. Note the Sept 2016 Study Wt article on Defending the Good News before courts, which is being used today as a template. Note how our respectful response is so contrary to what the world would expect that it only adds to the witness.
Let every person in the world become aware of and take a stand on this issue. If it is to be, let Russian officials look themselves in the mirror and publicly declare: "I believe, what with all the villains and scoundrels on the loose today in our country, that taking out Jehovah's Witnesses is the most important thing we can do."
The campaign may fail in its goal of swaying the minds of Russian officials. But it will not fall short in its goal of giving a massive witness. it will not fall short in stepping up the preaching work worldwide, as it presents fresh evidence that 'the time left is reduced.' It will not fall short in giving our Russian brothers tremendous reinforcement. For the rest of their lives, persons will approach them and say: "You crushed our Post Office. Just what kind of people are you, anyway?"
After all, if any of the hard or soft apostates here suffered the same hardships our Russian brothers are suffering, does anyone think their fellow apostates would come to their aid? Or would they just be roadkill?
