TheWorldNewsOrg got a reaction from admin in SR-71 Blackbird
The SR-71 Blackbird, also known as the world's fastest plane. This bad boy is capable of flying 2,193.13 MPH. During its time in the air, over 4,000 missiles were shot at it, but none ever hit. The Blackbird was so fast that missiles could not keep up with it. There were only 32 ever built. I tracked this one down at the National Air and Space Museum, in Chantilly VA. What a beauty.

TheWorldNewsOrg got a reaction from Mic Drop in ‘Global outflow’: UN officially warns of next global financial crisis
    via TheWorldNewsOrg
If the global economy enters a new economic crisis it may lead to epic debt defaults, according to trade economists at the United Nations.
“As capital begins to flow out, there is now a real danger of entering a third phase of the financial crisis which began in the United States housing market in late 2007 before spreading to the European sovereign bond market,” the annual report of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Following the 2008-2009 crisis, developing countries faced a huge influx of cheap credit. The process was heated by quantitative easing programs in the developed nations.
“Alarm bells have been ringing over the explosion of corporate debt levels in emerging economies, which now exceed $25 trillion. Damaging deflationary spirals cannot be ruled out,” the report says. Under the conditions of slowing global GDP the debt is likely not to be redeemed.
At the same time, many corporations in emerging countries started the process of rewarding shareholders with stock buybacks and dividend payouts instead of investing into production capacity, according to the analysts.

TheWorldNewsOrg got a reaction from Mic Drop in Somalia is still enduring a dreadful drought
Lest the Ukraine War crowd out all the other disasters in the world, we should remember that Somalia is still enduring a dreadful drought. The article says that the “UNHCR estimates that in 2022 alone half a million Somalis will likely be displaced before the end of March.”

TheWorldNewsOrg got a reaction from JW Insider in Stephenson 2-18 has recently become the biggest star in the known Universe.
It's named after the astronomer Charles Stephenson:
Stephenson 2-18 is a member of the open cluster Stephenson 2, which occupies an area of 1.8’ of the sky but is not visible in amateur telescopes. The cluster cannot be detected in visible light at all because it is heavily obscured by dust, but it can be seen in infrared light.
It lies in the region of the sky between Alpha and Beta Scuti. The open cluster Stephenson 2 is one of the most massive open clusters in the Milky Way. It was first noticed by American astronomer Charles Bruce Stephenson, who reported the discovery in June 1990.
Stephenson 2-18 (St2-18, also known as Stephenson 2-18 and RSGC2-18) is a red supergiant (RSG) star. It is close to, and a possible member of, the open cluster Stephenson 2. It is about 6,000 parsecs (20,000 ly) away from Earth in the constellation of Scutum and is one of the largest known stars. It is also one of the most luminous of its type. It has a radius of 2,150 times that of the Sun, and has a volume 10 billion times that of the Sun. This star has a spectral type of M6, which is pretty unusual for a supergiant star and corresponds to its cool temperature of 3,200 Kelvin. But there is also a hypothetical Quasi-star... Quasi-star, also known as black hole star, is hypothetically star are believed to have only existed of beginning of the universe when most a the material in the galaxy was hydrogen and helium. A Quasi-star could be as large as 10 billion kilometers or roughly large than 7.000 times the radius of the sun.

TheWorldNewsOrg got a reaction from Thinking in What if WWIII has already started?
It has begun, according to some market analysts. Could it have begun long, long ago without any of us noticing? What if it began and ended without us realizing it? It’s been generations since the last (openly) global conflict—how has the grammar of War changed since? While some American investors fear the reality of a World War, others believe the world’s #1 superpower is edging dangerously close to Civil War itself.
