oh my,  This is precisely what people expect from certain high control religious groups. Does any of this sound like a parallel to Waco TX? Jonestown? Heaven's Gate?
I have no doubt that there are many who would subscribe to this same thinking, if they are privy to such talk.
Realistically, the amount of infrastructure and resources needed to pull this type of thing off isn't that far fetched. I am positive that there would be countless people NOT involved in jws who would donate funds to make this happen.

Very sad news that anyone should get this horrible virus, and even worse that they should die from it.
But there is the wonderful hope of the resurrection which will bring good health and much better living conditions.
Stay safe as much as you can.

Shiwiii reacted to Witness in SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE ARMY OF LOCUSTS
Yes, your blind leaders gave that illustration of lions.   Remember, it is the same leadership who for years believed God’s anointed were Joel’s locusts, but you still put your trust in them.    You may want to search the scriptures to find for yourself just one instance where locusts, and especially a swarm of locust, have even one redeeming quality.
Both the locusts in Joel and Revelation give emphasis on their ability to eat and destroy with their teeth.
Joel 2:6 - A nation has invaded My land,
        a mighty army without number;
it has the teeth of a lion,
        the fangs of a lioness.
Rev 9:7-11 - The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).
“ Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”  1 Pet 5:8,9
“devour” - to drink down, i.e. gulp entire (literally or figuratively):—devour, drown, swallow (up).
Who does Satan come against in Revelation?  Jesus’ “kings” under the New Covenant promise/”woman”, who are not sealed.  (Rev 1:5)
    See: Gal 4:24,26; Rev 9:4; 12:15; 16:13-17
Jesus, as the Lion of Judah does not destroy people, but only death. 1 Cor 15:26  He does not use deception, as if to capture a prey. Col 2:8; Rev 13:10
Rev 5:5 - "Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
“overcome” – “conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory.”
The victory over death by the sacrifice of his life.
You leader’s comment regarding the mention of both Jesus and Satan described as lions to validate his argument that there can be a good locust army, and a wicked locust army, is futile.    A locust swarm has only one characteristic, which is to eat and decimate land, and as the scriptures symbolically point out, it includes people, who refuse to repent from the works of their hands, as is the case in Joel.
“Let the priests, who minister to the Lord,
    Weep between the porch and the altar;
Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord,
And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
That the nations should rule over them.
Why should they say among the peoples,
‘Where is their God?’ ”  Joel 2:17
The locust “army” that rules over the nation of “Israel” today, and that wears “crowns” (Rev 9:7) is the nation of “Gentile” elders, who rule over the anointed ones/”Israel” – blaspheming the sanctuary of God by putting His anointed “in their place”, using lies about them to do so.  Rev 13:5-8   The organization/idol is far more important to all JWs, than God’s Temple/House of “living stones” in the anointed priesthood.  1 Pet 2:5,9; 1 Cor 3:16,17; Eph 2:20-22
“So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Rev 13:4

But, Arauna, we’ve been down this road before, haven’t we.  And even though you have seen that your leaders preach a “truth” that never was a truth, you continue to support them, and the rotten fruit they teach. Matt 7:15-20  Their failed teachings never brought one iota of quality spiritual "life" to the poor JW who swallowed them down.

Shiwiii got a reaction from Patiently waiting for Truth in Jehovah’s Witnesses: Members Must Reject COVID-19 Plasma Treatment… Or Else
I disagree here. Take a look into the account of how Moses was brought forth. ALL first born males at that time were to be killed ( Exodus 1:16-22). This was to prevent the Israelite nation from overtaking the Egyptians. Moses was chosen long before he was a murderer, from before the womb. The same cannot be said of the past gb members, nor the current ones.  So assimilating Moses to the gb is not only false, but wishful thinking on both the part of jws and the gb themselves.

I agree here with what you have said, but it doesn't matter much because I do not assimilate Moses to the gb. To answer your question, no I have never felt the gb have beaten me, as they are not above me and have NO authority over me, they are men just as I am.

This leadership was dissolved with the coming of Jesus, as stated in 1 Timothy 2:5.
I think here we are agreeing to what I stated above, but not completely.
just as any good father would do. We too are disciplined just as.
oh yes, and as I stated above, our leader is Jesus, not Moses, not some self appointed gb, not anyone else. Agreed, God knows exactly what He is doing, thus the reason why He abolished that sort of religious headship and brought us closer individually.

I can agree with you on this, but the underlying factor is that the social ostracism and banishment is directed by the gb, if you want to be right with God in their eyes. Which, I think is what you are saying here:

And right here you hit the nail on the head!
How does this make any sense to average jws?

ok, but that is totally different then what 4jah2me was saying. Wasn't 4jah2me pointing out in Matt 12 that Jesus said we would save our sheep on the Sabbath, and then comparing that to how much more valuable a person is than a sheep? So just because it was the sabbath, we should still preserve ourselves the best we can? This hardly would apply to self killing because the gb said so.
This is precisely what 4jah2me was saying. Stating that is ridiculous to die for what the gb has stated. the gb have positioned themselves AS God to jws, what they say goes.....and it matters not what the Bible says if it is in contrast to what the gb says. this was the point 4jah2me was making.

to compare Jesus' death to a person who chooses NOT to accept life saving techniques is absurd. Jesus could have easily healed His wounds, or made it possible to not die. He did die, to BE the sacrifice we all needed and to do it once and for all. A senseless death because of the burden the gb puts on people is in no way showing loyalty to God, instead it is showing loyalty to the gb.

Moses – a prophet appointed as spokesperson for God.
“Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. 34 I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’35 “This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’ He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36 He led them out of Egypt and performed wonders and signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea and for forty years in the wilderness.”  Acts 7:36,37
The Pharisees – They were not prophets but sat in Moses’ seat, yet were condemned by Jesus because of their lies, their burdens put on the people, and their additional laws and decrees not sanctioned by God.

Jesus Christ – a prophet, the King of righteousness, the Son of God.

37 “This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’ 38 He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us.”  Acts 7:37,38
Where does the Governing Body fit in? Are they “like” Moses?  Or, would that be Jesus Christ?  The GB fit in in as the modern-day Pharisees, who add to the scriptures with their additional laws and decrees, their false teachings and burdens put upon the people.
You not only seem to make light of the role of Moses as an aggravating personality,  but you have put GB in the seat of Moses, when God has already given us Jesus Christ – “a prophet” like Moses.
A follower of Jesus would not tolerate any lies that  may be called "truth", from any leader. Matt 7:15-20; 2 Thess 2:9-12
How did the GB decide they were the “faithful and discreet slave”/house “steward”?  Were they appointed by Jesus Christ?
“However, further careful study and prayerful meditation indicate that our understanding of Jesus’ words about the faithful and discreet slave needs to be clarified.” W 13/7/15  pp 20-25
“clarified”…which was added to the long list of “Beliefs Clarified”; all requiring careful study and prayerful meditation.  How many flip-flops of just one doctrine on that list required changing over the years, but during its heyday was called "truth"?  How many people were held reliable to upholding a facade called "truth"?
These men are not prophets, and not inspired. Yet, this “careful study and prayerful meditation” somehow led to a most definite appointment by Jesus Christ without any involvement of inspiration; which Moses most definitely received from God during his entire assignment.
“Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’  Acts 3:17-23

    I disagree:
It is NOT loyalty to the GB.
It is fear of reprisals, banishment, and social ostracism.
I have never even met anyone that is "loyal to the Governing Body".
They do try to be loyal to God ...by obeying the non-inspired and all to often fallible and flat wrong, sometimes goofy self-aggrandizing teachings of the GB.
Sometimes that is noble and a good thing to do.
    Sometimes ... not.
They alone are allowed to apostatize from their previous teachings, without severe punishment.

However the GB / leaders of CCJW may not want it in the public eye.
I know this life is not the 'most' important, but it seems crazy to let yourself die especially when compared to Matthew 12 v 9 through 12, when a Jew would break the Mosaic Law to save an animal.
Yeshua / Jesus made it very clear in that scripture 'how much more valuable is a man / person than a sheep / animal'.
Each to their own Bible trained conscience, unless you are a JW, then it's do as you are told by your Leaders.

Shiwiii reacted to Patiently waiting for Truth in SPECIAL TALK APRIL 2020.
My wife and i sat and watched this Special Talk on Sunday 5th April 2020
In honesty I thought it was a bit weak, but I suppose it was for 'people of the world', or was it to convince the congregants ?
However the stupidity of starting the talk with the idea of comparing to other religions and their morality.
Come on, even some of you have said CSA is everywhere, in all religions. And divorce, and fornication.
The CCJW is not seen as the clean religion standing out above other religions anymore. It is rather naive to think that the public find the CCJW cleaner or with higher moral standards. Or was it aimed at JWs ? Who really was he trying to convince?
And the second failure was the 'picture of the GB etc'. The speaker makes the point that Jesus is the leader, which of course is good. But then he shows this picture of the GB and others as if the picture is from God. He was using scripture, great, but then this picture, as if it came from the same source.
Anyone that was convinced by it must be very naive or lack intelligence. And the excuse cannot be that God and Christ use the less intellectual, because the Bible tells us to make sure of all things. The speaker did not use any scripture in relation to the picture, but tried to convince people that just because it was in that picture it must be true. How totally uninspired is that ?  A picture of Christ above the GB, above others in the CCJW. with no scriptural backing.
And then he went on to ask 'How would you show how you accept Christ's leadership ? ' He follows this by quoting Matthew 16 v 24, to disown oneself and follow Christ.
But that in no way proves that the CCJW are the way to go. It says to follow Jesus Christ.
One last point, he mentions the Great Crowd 'described in Revelation' but once again NO scripture.
A very poor talk with very little basis and even less scripture. It really showed a lack of God's Holy Spirit.

I get it. Jehovah takes no pleasure in the suffering of humans and therefore would have him killed without much suffering.
I get it. You would take pleasure in prolonging the suffering of a fellow human because they were apostate. You like the idea of prolonged torture against enemies.
(Romans 12:16-21) . . .Do not become wise in your own eyes. 17 Return evil for evil to no one. Take into consideration what is fine from the viewpoint of all men. 18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men. 19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: “‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ says Jehovah.” 20 But “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals on his head.” 21 Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good.
(Mark 7:20-23) 20 Further, he said: “That which comes out of a man is what defiles him. 21 For from inside, out of the heart of men, come injurious reasonings, sexual immorality, thefts, murders, 22 acts of adultery, greed, acts of wickedness, deceit, brazen conduct, an envious eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, and unreasonableness. 23 All these wicked things come from within and defile a man.”
(James 2:11-13) If, now, you do not commit adultery but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of law. 12 Keep on speaking and behaving in such a way as those do who are going to be judged by the law of a free people. 13 For the one who does not practice mercy will have his judgment without mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
    Food for thought.
