The Bible foretold not only the serious problems we now face but also the better times we can expect soon. It describes a future that is way beyond what human governments could hope to achieve, one that only God can provide. “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”—Revelation 21:4. Jehovah’s Witnesses take comfort in the Bible’s promises of a bright future, and this helps them to see beyond the pandemic. They also support one another by obeying the Bible’s command to gather regularly for worship. (Hebrews 10:24, 25) Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which are being held virtually during the pandemic. Others agree that joining together with Jehovah’s Witnesses for worship has been helpful during these difficult times. For example, a woman infected with COVID-19 accepted an invitation to join Jehovah’s Witnesses’ virtual meetings. These meetings helped her emotionally despite her ongoing health issues from the virus. She later said: “I feel that I am part of this family too. Reading the Bible gives me peace of mind and inner calm. It helps me focus on my hope for the future instead of my problems. (John 17:3)  I have made your name manifest to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word. (John 17:6) I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one. They “Saw” the Things Promised “They did not receive the fulfillment of the promises; but they saw them from a distance.”—HEB. 11:13. As Christians we are encouraged by visualizing our hope, whether it is heavenly or earthly. Can you see yourself enjoying the things that God has promised? Contemplating what you may do as God fulfills his promises undoubtedly brings joy to your heart. Perhaps you “see” yourself living on earth forever. Think about cooperating with others in making this globe into a paradise. Your neighbors love Jehovah, even as you do. You are healthy, energetic, and have a bright outlook. Those supervising the work of restoration make life a pleasure because they genuinely care about you. And you are happy using your talents and skills because everything you do is benefiting others and honoring God. Forexample, you are helping newly resurrected ones to come to know Jehovah. (John 17:3;Acts 24:15) No, this is not a dreamworld. This appealing mental picture is based on Scriptural truths about the future.—Isa. 11:9; 25:8; 33:24;35:5-7; 65:22. Two close friends are walking side by side in a beautiful valley, with tears in their eyes. Struggling to find the right words to describe this moment, they continue walking in silence and in awe. The sun is shining down on them like never before and the mountains are teeming with gorgeous waterfalls and trees. They go up on a rolling hill and flashbacks begin to run through their heads: Their trials, their endurance - Their life in the old system. Stunned by the scene surrounding them, they come to a halt when they reach the top and they witness so many animals roaming together, free at last. A little girl is walking down the road with a cute little monkey on her shoulder and the roar of a silverback gorilla from a nearby forest greets their ears, astonishing them. The smells of nature reaches their nose and not too far away from them, their friends and loved ones are gathering in a park, in the most beautiful nature scenery they have ever seen in their lives. They remain silent but you can hear them sniffling, with tears racing down their cheeks. Finally they embrace in a tearful hug and with so much emotion they exclaim the words they had been yearning to say for so long: "Remember when we used to talk about this! We made it home." To everyone who reads this: Don't give up, I hope we run into each other in paradise someday. I hope we laugh and cry and say that we finally made it after enduring for so long. I hope we have the most amazing bonfires and we share our own stories of what we went through in this system. I hope we hang out in a tree house by the ocean and we watch the dolphins and whales leap out of the water under the twinkling stars. I hope we meet Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Esther and we have the most thrilling, conversations with them! I hope we witness the long awaited resurrection and we cry so many happy tears until we run out of tears. And I hope.. We build a lasting bond, serving the true God for millions of years and all of eternity. Until then, let's continue to endure - And if we do - I hope to see you on the other side. H. O. P. E. - How will Pain End Forever? You Mean Christ Felt Pain? “He was despised and was avoided by men, A man who was meant for pains and was familiar with sickness. It was as if his face were hidden from us. He was despised, and we held him as of no account. Truly he himself carried our sicknesses, And he bore our pains.” (Isa 53:3,4) Revised 2013 PAIN A sensation of physical discomfort, whether moderate or severe; also acute mental or emotional distress. The physical sensation of pain serves a beneficial purpose by alerting a person to danger regarding bodily damage and thereby enables him to take steps to avoid serious injury. The fulfillment of God’s promise that “neither will . . . pain be anymore” (Re 21:4) That could not mean that humans would become insensitive to or incapable of experiencing pain. Rather, mental, emotional, and physical pain that has resulted from sin and imperfection (Ro 8:21, 22) will ‘be no more’ in the sense that its causes (such as disease and death) will be removed. That bodily perfection does not of itself require absolute painlessness is verified by the fact that even the perfect man Jesus experienced physical and emotional pain in connection with his death and the unresponsiveness of those to whom he ministered. (Mt 26:37; Lu 19:41) It was even foretold that he would be “a man meant for pains.” (Isa 53:3) By curing those “distressed with various diseases and torments” (Mt 4:24), Jesus bore the pains of others.—Isa 53:4 “He was despised and was avoided by men, A man who was meant for pains and was familiar with sickness.
