Geneva Rae Laswell, 90, of Columbus, died 12:42 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Willow Crossing Nursing Home. Geneva was born in Letts, Indiana, August 9, 1926, the daughter of George and Melinda Connell Sparks. She married John M. Laswell June 22, 1946, in Columbus; he preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of Columbus Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by sons, John R. Laswell of Thailand, Kevin R. Laswell of Indianapolis and Douglas (Connie) Laswell of Corydon, Indiana; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Baumann of California. She was preceded by her parents; husband; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date and private inurnment will be in Lower Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Westport.
