Is “equity” just another code word for socialism? who is paying for these displays in the malls?

THIS IS A FRIENDLY REMINDER: PROPAGANDA ATTACKS THE MIND    YOU are under attack ! And our chief enemy, the great propagandist, Satan. Satan uses his system of things to discourage Bible reading and study. Do not fall for his devious schemes !is using a very dangerous weapon against you. Is it Propaganda ! A weapon specially designed to attack, not your body, but your mind. We need to read the BIBLE and meditate on what we've  read and then we will be protected from various forms of propaganda. PROPAGANDA—HOW DANGEROUS IS IT ?  What is propaganda ? It is the use of biased or misleading information to manipulate the way people think and act. Some “lies, distortion, deceit, manipulation, mind control, [and] psychological warfare” and associate it with “unethical, harmful, and unfair tactics.”—Propaganda and Persuasion.   It is insidious—like an invisible, odorless, poisonous gas—and it seeps into our consciousness. A behavior specialist observed: “Many of us are being influenced and manipulated—far more than we realize.” Under its influence, says one scholar, men and women have been “quite easily led into the most preposterously dangerous behaviour”—such as ‘genocide, war, racist hysteria, religious intolerance and many other forms of irrational behaviour.’   Satan has studied human behavior since man was created. “The whole world” now lies in his power. He can use any part of it to disseminate his lies. (1 John 5:19; John 8:44) So effective has Satan been in ‘blinding people’s minds’ that he now ‘misleads the entire inhabited earth.’ (2 Cor. 4:4; Rev. 12:9) But, how can you resist his propaganda ?   JESUS gave this simple rule for combating propaganda: “Know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31, 32) But since truth is often the first casualty of war, you—like any other soldier in the heat of battle—need a source of trustworthy, reliable information to prevent the enemy from playing tricks with your mind. JEHOVAH has provided this. In the pages of the BIBLE, you can find all you need to combat Satan’s propaganda.—2 Tim. 3:16, 17.    Keep in mind that Satan does not want you to think clearly or reason things out well because propaganda “is likely to be most effective,” says one source, “if people . . . are discouraged from thinking critically.” So never be content passively or blindly to accept what you hear. (Prov. 14:15) Use your GOD-GIVEN thinking abilities and power of reason to make the truth your own.—Prov. 2:10-15; Rom. 12:1, 2.A

Doorn, 6 februari 2018 Geachte Heren en Dames van de Jehovah's Getuigen Doorn,  Vorig jaar heb ik ook rond deze rijd contact met u opgenomen, na herhaaldelijk vinden van Wachttorens en ander JW propagandamateriaal, in onze Minibieb op de Bloemengaard. Hierbij heb ik u vriendelijk - doch zeer dringend - verzocht dit in de toekomst na te laten. Eerst bij twee van uw deur-tot-deur-colporteurs en later (toen dit niet bleek te werken) via de telefoon.  De Minibieb Bloemengaard is een maatschappelijk kunstproject op particulier initiatief, gestart om de buurt wat op te fleuren en een ontmoetingsplaats te creëren. Door boeken en DVD's te ruilen, filmavondjes te organiseren, bankjes te plaatsen en lezen in het algemeen te promoten, komen mensen met elkaar in contact. Dit doen we vanuit een open visie, los van enige religieuze of politieke stroming en volledig zonder geldelijke middelen. De Minibieb is er voor iedereen, ongeacht levensbeschouwelijke visie.  We proberen de Minibieb zo toegankelijk mogelijk te houden. Het verspreiden van religieuze propaganda en winnen van zieltjes past hier niet bij. We hebben geen probleem met serieuze religieuze boeken; bijbels en korans wisselen hier regelmatig van eigenaar. Maar op de verkapte folders en reclame-uitingen zit niemand te wachten. De lokale slager legt hier ook geen weekaanbiedingen neer, net zoals andere kerken hun kerkblad niet achterlaten.  Er werd mij vorig jaar verzekerd dat dit niet meer voor zou komen. En het ging juist zo goed. Bijna een jaar lang hebben we geen last van uw organisatie gehad. Een enkel huisbezoek, maar verder geen probleem. U kunt zich dus mijn teleurstelling wel voorstellen over het vinden van deze boeken. Ik ga er vanuit dat leden van een organisatie die zegt het Woord te verkondigen zich ook aan hun woord kunnen houden. Aangezien de Wachttoren Organisatie zich beroemt op een grote efficiëntie en strakke discipline, neem ik dan ook aan dat het niet moeilijk zal zijn dit bericht bij uw leden te laten belanden. Ik hoop er dan ook vanuit te kunnen gaan dat dit in de toekomst niet meer voor zal komen. Kennelijk hebben zelfs Jehovah's Getuigen een hekel aan ongewenste reclame?

Brothers and sisters, this is just a warm up for all of us. Do not always believe in what you hear. If there's anything that the GB needs us to know, there will be a letter to the elders. By doing so, we don't spread any rumours because if we do, we are actually going against the spirit. Note: we always see many asking if there were any letters or bethel 'morning worship' announcements, stating not to mention in social media.
