With my usual lack of humor I present the Draft Copy of the December 2016 issue of the Watchtower which showed a Brother shaving on the cover ... it was changed before being distributed, because the Brothers responsible for the VERY GOOD and accurate article ... disappeared mysteriously.

I knew Seth Sheepngoats would pull something like this, I knew it!

The tip-off should have been when I saw him go into that costume shop.

He arrived at the Kingdom Hall just like anyone else yesterday. But halfway through the Watchtower Study, he reached into his bag and tied something behind his neck. When he emerged, he was sporting a huge...

He is such an idiot.

Many of us would have been shocked had we been there to witness this. It is hoped that the elders visited him personally at his home. The congregation is "A house of prayer". Matt 28:13

The first Kingdom Hall I went to I had a tile floor sloped downward like a movie theater to the stage and podium.

I had a large bag of marbles I hid from my mother.

We arrived late and sat on the back row.

I dropped the bag and the marbles spilled out and rolled to the front, each making noise and hitting chair legs and shoes on the way down.

That's when I learned to pray.

Was that prayer during the meeting or while mom gave you a hiding at home. :)

While on that subject, Psalm 2 proves true in our day. The nations have cast off most of Jehovah's cords, especially discipline with the rod, as well as far as certain sexual activities which the whole world now condone. How worse can they get? 2 Tim. 3:13

My friend and brother (Psalm 17:17) has a beard for most of his adult life. An overseer approached him late last year and told him that he would not be considered for any privileges due to his beard. My brother kept the beard to allow himself time to check the society's latest views seeing I told him that there was optimism at this website.

Yesterday an overseer approached my friend and asked him to handle the microphone during the Watchtower study. Seems that the congregation overseer had received advice from Bethel allowing beards - perhaps initially  for observation purposes.

Yeah .... if he is drooling, stabbing the seat cushions with a knife, and brings a lunch to the 2017 Convention with fingers sticking out, they may need to reconsider the microphone thingy.

There are PLENTY of examples of men in the Bible who slaughtered each other in wars, conflicts and assassinations ... AND THEY ALL HAD BEARDS!

Careful who you blame for this. Brother Geoffrey Jackson (of the Governing Body) just announced last year in court that Jehovah's Witnesses are now casting off this particular cord, too. In print, at least (and in court statements) I think we will only be considering this "rod" to be a figurative "rod" referring to "instruction."

It's a policy that could have fallen long ago, IMO. (If it has)

Beatniks and hippies vanished as separate species ages ago.

Nonetheless, what's the big deal? Many brothers got around it by not wearing beards. It's by squabbling over the petty freedoms that you miss out on the big ones.
