Loyal Mannis Barr 'Loyd'

Loyal Mannis Barr, “Loyd”, 75, of Sanford, Florida passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side.  He was born August 27, 1941 in Marion, South Carolina to the late John Henry Dixon and the late Georgiana Wallace Barr.    Loyd relocated from South Carolina to Sanford, Florida in 1965.  He worked as a construction worker for numerous years.   He enjoyed building homes and renovating homes.  Loyd was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sanford Congregation.  He has resided in Sanford, Florida for over 50 yearsLoyd was preceded in death by his siblings, Sally Hemmingway, Bert Barr, Jr. Sylvester Barr, and Johnny Barr.He is survived by his wife, Arethea M. Barr; five sons, Loyal M. Barr, Jr., Eric Barr, Emanuel Barr, Elijah Barr (Regina), and Ernest Edward Barr; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grands; sisters, Joan McRae (Joe) and Erinetsteen McRae (Freddie); and other relatives and friends.Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, 1:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1502 West 3rd Street, Sanford, Florida with Memorial Talk by Brother Ronald J. Davis.Services Entrusted to the care of Sunrise Funeral Home, 900 Locust Avenue, Sanford, Florida.
