Thats  the  point,  I  agree  @Nicole   And  many  young  people  also  nosy  for  testing,  etc. ~  very  sad.  My  husband,  (sound - engineer)  told  me  in  the  past,  some  music-groups  consumed  (coce, snow)  in a  private  sound - studio,  to  get  inspired  and  for  playing /singing  smarter, as  you  commented, yes :)

Hi Sister, please excuse me joining this conversation. I don't know how to contact you personally. The video below is from our local newspaper in East London. It has nice views of the Buffalo river harbour. I uploaded a picture to you a while ago.

Because they are plagued with guilt over being so smart and wish to level the playing field.

Down our way it's called 'The tree of knowledge'. Beginners only get into fits of laughter. If they are with others, everything they see makes them laugh. Even little things such as a bird sitting or an animal walking. When they are over that stage, and used to the drug they settle down to deep thought even to the point of inventing things, and they wonder why the world never thought of what they just discovered.

When out of that trance, say by the next morning, they still clearly remember that they received this new light, but cannot remember exactly what it was. This was explained to me many years ago by a person who eventually gave it up. It doesn't appear to be a drug that's habit forming, and mostly recreational.

It would be interesting if any brother or sister heard of similar experiences they can tell us about so that we can learn more about user experience.

Colin:

This is very true.

I myself, in 1969 ran an experiment on myself, back when I had a large reel-to reel tape recorder, with 8" diameter tape reels.

I had noticed that every time I drank Southern Comfort Whiskey, I would get dramatically smarter.

So one Friday after work, I set up my tape recorder and opened a new bottle of Southern Comfort whiskey ... and started drinking.

My goal was to transcribe the "Secrets of the Universe" as I got drunker and drunker, and in the morning, I would play the tape back, transcribe it into a best selling book, or perhaps benefit from the wisdom captured on tape.

The more I drank the smarter I got, and I was excited and kept talking, and drinking. Talking and drinking. Talking and drinking.

It was like having a Revelation from God!  The joy was palpable!

The next morning I woke up on the floor, and my tape recorder was going "flip-flip-flip-flip" as it was still running but had run out of tape.

After the room stopped spinning I re-wound the tape ... got a clean notebook and several pens, and started to write it all down.

I remembered quite clearly the brilliance that I spoke as the night before the clouds of ignorance and darkness evaporated from my mind, and the complete clarity of thought ... intense and resolute!

I carefully listened to the tape for perhaps two hours,  I even heard when  I had fallen off my chair, and lay there on the floor ... silent.

It was just another incoherent drunk, babbling complete and utter nonsense.

How did I get smarter... you might ask?

I had definite proof that when drinking, what you THINK is going on is completely divorced from reality.

Did I learn this lesson?

No,

But that is another story.

Why I am still alive is a complete wonder.

Mark Twain said something like: when I was 16 my dad was so ignorant I could barely stand to have him around. But when I was 21, I was amazed at how far the old man had come in such a short time.

Thirty U.S. states have enacted medical cannabis laws, and all but one of them include cancer in the list of conditions allowed. Such laws give cancer patients across the country access to a substance that remains illegal under federal law.
Anecdotal reports suggest marijuana is helpful in managing symptoms of chemotherapy, like pain and nausea. But it's unlikely curious patients are getting clear guidance from their doctors on whether they should try marijuana, which form might work best and how much to take. A new survey of 237 oncologists from around the country finds that while roughly 80 percent talk with their patients about marijuana, fewer than 30 percent feel they have sufficient knowledge to advise them about its medicinal use.
Despite their shaky knowledge of the drug, nearly half of all oncologists do recommend medical cannabis to their patients, according to the study, which was published Thursday in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. But more than half of those suggesting it, don't consider themselves knowledgeable to do so, says Dr. Ilana Braun, a cancer psychiatrist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Mass. and the study's lead author.

A cannabis factory with almost 800 plants has been discovered inside an iconic Merthyr Tydfil chapel.
Unbeknown to nearby residents, the building on Newcastle Street - a prominent landmark in the town since it was built in 1856 - was housing 769 cannabis plants.

Officers only discovered the huge operation after conducting a spot check on someone acting suspiciously.
From the information obtained they discovered the unbelievable haul brazenly being grown in the town centre.

The former Kingdom Hall for Jehovahs Witnesses, on Newcastle Street in Merthyr Tydfil
Police also found another haul of plants in a property on Pontmorlais High Street.
A man has been arrested and charged with producing cannabis.

The Salem Chapel was once a congregation church used by the Salvation Army and Merthyr Council.
Since 1986, the chapel has been the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Despite coming under threat from Californian authorities, two weed-growing nuns known as the 'Sisters of the Valley', continued to cultivate marijuana, which they use to make medicinal salves, tinctures and oils, at their abbey in Merced, Sunday.

Sister Kate and Sister Darcy, who began their business last year, have developed their own formula of topical cream containing drops containing Cannabidiol (CBD), which is a non-psychoactive ingredient unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

      PENNSYLVANIA LEGALIZES MEDICAL MARIJUANA!

For centuries, we've had some idea that marijuana might help relieve pain.
Now, Whoopi Goldberg wants to put that idea to use in a series of menstrual cramp products.
Goldberg, along with co-founder and cannabis business veteran Maya Elisabeth, are launching an eponymous company geared toward relieving the pain associated with periods.
According to Vanity Fair, the Whoopi & Maya line will include edibles, tinctures (liquid extracts), topical creams, and bath soaks. They say the goal of these products is that they'd be more accessible than traditional sources of marijuana, like a joint or a pipe that you have to light up.
“This, you can put it in your purse,” Goldberg told Vanity Fair. “You can put the rub on your lower stomach and lower back at work, and then when you get home you can get in the tub for a soak or make tea, and it allows you to continue to work throughout the day.”
The line is expected to become available in California starting in April, Vanity Fair reports.
What the science says about weed and pain
Some of the Whoopi & Maya products will reportedly just contain cannabidiol (CBD), which unlike marijuana's main psychoactive ingredient, THC, does not cause feelings of euphoria or intoxication, the characteristic "high" associated with pot.
Cannabidiol has been linked for years with different kinds of pain relief and even studied in several clinical studies. It's currently being explored as a potential treatment for certain types of epilepsy as well.
But apart from some self-reported use to fend off cramps, there isn't a whole lot of data available to date that suggests cannabis or its derivatives can help relieve the pain specifically linked to periods. But that could just be a result of a lack of data.
"With exception of a study in the 1800s, I see no evidence in the medical literature that supports that use,”  Dr. Ranit Mishori, a professor of family medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, told Live Scienceon the topic of marijuana and menstrual cramps.
Menstrual cramps, which also goes by the name dysmenorrhea, refers to the lower abdominal pains felt during or before a woman's menstrual period. It's pretty common, and typically can be helped with pain relievers like ibuprofen, heating pads, and massage. For those with worse symptoms, health care providers can often prescribe other medications to help relieve the symptoms.

    • who then is the meek?
    • I wrote the Mickey Spillane summit parody for Jane Spillane, who is re-releasing the Mike Hammer tough-guy series of late 1940's private eye books. It is a spoof on what if the President had handled Putin like Mike Hammer might handle a crime boss. She loved it. She said so right on my blog (almost immediately) when I released it. I wrote it because Mickey Spillane later became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and his work changed a lot. That triggered my interest in his books. Now, Jane is not a Witness, probably has mixed feelings about them at best, and may feel they were responsible for 'sabatoging' his work, since his post-JW writings lose the excess sex and violence and thereby become less of what Mickey himself once said about Hemingway and the highbrow authors: "What those guys could never get is that you sell a lot more salted peanuts than cavier." Nonetheless, there is no way she could not have picked up on his enthusiasm for the truth, and probably concedes that that is what ensured he remained the upright man he always had been. Jane is intensely political, another reason for the theme of my post. She assures me that Mickey would have been a Trump-man, too. I have not the slightest doubt of it, with the exception that he would know how to keep political leaning its place, and not disturb the peace of the congregation with such matters. All human governments will drop the ball, usually it is a bowling ball, and the only open question is upon which toe will it land. As individuals ponder their own toes, some will favor the left and some the right. Anyhow, I said to Jane that we could help each other. I will use the story to hopefully (this is extremely hard to do) flag the attention of some high profile figures, and did she want to be tagged or not?. She did. Good. It's a win-win, potentially helping both our causes. Mine is to direct attention to my blog, www.tomsheepandgoats.com, the first thing that hits the eyes is a link for my free ebook Dear Mr Putin - Jehovah's Witnesses Write Russia, which calls attention to the plight of our people there, (along with answering many a scurilous charge) and that goal motivates nearly everything I do these days. I draw some of my inspiration from Anton Chivchalov Blog. These days it is important to bring one's gift to the altar. The post is here:
http://www.tomsheepandgoats.com/…/showdown-at-the-summit.ht… Since the violence and sex is excessive in those pre-Witness days, it is easy to dismiss the novels as so much garbage. However, as to the writing itself, Ayn Rand (The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged) lavished high praise on them and compared them favorably to some elite authors of the day. Mickey's own dad, I think he was a bartender, called his writing "crud." Ayn Rand did not feel that way. Atlantic Magazine (I think it was) interviewed him in later years ('I may write one more Mike Hammer, but that's it. I can't sit eight hours in a chair anymore. My rear end gets sore.') and pointed out that his latter books were winning some critical acclaim. "To Mickey's disgust, one suspects," one suspects, the author adds. Come on! It is impossible not to love this guy. He had the combination of intense interest, yes, even love, of people, coupled with an absolute lack of pretence, a willingness to go 'in your face,' something that was a trademark of Witnesses of a certain generation. Jane herself, I am not sure that she realized it, give me the ultimate green light, when she said of my scheme: "Mickey would love it."
    • Thank you so much and I appreciate ALL that you do. Love ❤️ you!! Have a beautiful weekend!!🌸🌺🌹🌺🌸🤧😊
    • I do not see here that Jesus support economic and money system of Jew, Greek or Roman people. He was not willing to support that. This verse "proving" my view and understanding on Jesus act: -------------- “But so that we may not offend them, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take the first fish you catch. When you open its mouth, you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for you” and Me. Jesus was not voluntary or by obligation participate in paying temple tax. His reason for pay tax money was in some sort of strange reason, "to not offend them". Does he payed tax more then this one time mentioned in this verse? Do not know. But this verse telling something different in connection to your statement:  "Jesus taught that a legitimate use of money is to support the Lord's work (The Great Commission) through the religious institutions the Lord established, the early Church/Christians." In this verse  he did contrary, he support Jew system and not "Lord's work". And as such, religious institutions aka Jew religion (or some other religious institution today), have to be, was been rejected by him and his followers, at the end of a day (or to the end of century in Romans's  siege and destruction of Jerusalem). 1.What is legitimate use of money? (by capitalist view, by socialist view, by particular religious institution view......?) 2.And would you, as beneficiary, accept money, as donation or in other forms, without knowledge and proves how donor/donors made their multiplication of money in legitimate using, way?     (Do you have interest to know is such money made in way that no one was damaged?) How many people working for one dollar per day or less, for few cents, in one part of a world??? And in different part of the world  other people buy cheap products because of such system? And what is LEGITIMATE in that? Only laws that was product of injustice. AND ALL THIS WAS IN DOMAIN OF WHO OWNS THE MONEY :))))))) I do not care, at the end, is that devil's money or people's money. It is injustice! This is all about injustice, greedy, lies, manipulation ...
    • we both! :))) please help me to see, by your thoughts, is there something in this World that IS devil product? proved by Bible, because this is point you like to highlight - Bible verses. Thanks.
