The world lost a special lady Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, when Norma Lee Netz passed away.

She was born July 3, 1947, in Mullan, Idaho, to Norman and Jane Lowry. Mom and Dad celebrated their 50th anniversary on March 10. What a testament of true love it has been to watch these two.

With five daughters, our house was always loud, busy and full of laughter and many extra kids. Summers were spent gardening and camping on the North Fork as a family. Mom also proved she was an excellent shot during hunting season after bagging several huge bull elk and bear. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed attending services at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was a federal grain inspector for years, but her true love was taking care of others. Mom absolutely loved her family and found great joy in cooking for all of us. Her baked beans are legendary. She made everyone feel special and loved. Words cannot express how much we will miss Mom. She was an absolutely amazing lady.

Survivors include her husband, Art Netz; daughters Shannon, Barbie (Jim), Genia and Debbie (Simon); brothers Dick and John; 14 grandkids; 19 great-grandkids; and so many that stopped by and quickly became family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bridgette; her brother, Mark; and her parents.

She did not want a formal funeral, so please join us as we honor Mom's love of family and special friends by gathering at 3 p.m. Sept. 2, at their house, 3415 12th St., Lewiston. Call Barb at (208) 569-5677 with any questions you may have.
