Dear Brothers:
Many have expressed their love concerns for the well-being of those affected by recent devastating hurricanes. You should never underestimate the good effect your prayers may have on the brothers in an area that has been hit by a disaster. (2 cor. 1: 8-11) can also feel motivated to express their concern through a donation. Some have asked: " what is the best way to contribute financially to the relief work carried out by Jehovah's witnesses?"
It is recommended that all donations of humanitarian and relief assistance can be done throughout the world. Jehovah's witnesses do not maintain a separate fund which is limited only to a disaster area such as hurricane Harvey. Instead, the efforts to help this hurricane and other natural disasters are funded by work around the world.
This fund is used for aid efforts, as well as for the advancement of the spiritual needs of the Christian Brotherhood. In fact, victims of natural disasters need more than material aid. You need especially the comfort that word only of God, the Bible, can provide. Contributions for the world work can be done in your local kingdom hall or use the jw.org site. In addition, the funds that the congregations have already contributed to the global assistance agreement will also be used to repair damaged by the hurricane halls of the kingdom.
Please do not send donated clothes, supplies or materials for branches of branches or disaster areas unless specifically requested to do so by the branch or the relief committee. This will ensure an orderly aid effort and the proper distribution of assets. Members of the congregation can also help victims, providing voluntary labor for property repairs.
Thank you for your kind support for those affected by natural disasters. We sent our Christian love along with my desire.
