"In August 2017, the Vyborg City Court accepted the prosecutor’s argument that the New World Translation is not a Bible because it renders God’s personal name, represented by the Tetragrammaton, as “Jehovah.” This argument allows the prosecutor to circumvent the Law on Counteracting Extremist Activity, which forbids declaring sacred texts to be extremist."

This revelation of the real attitude to truth in Russia should make the whole of Europe afraid.....very afraid!

True (for the Russian Synodal Bible). And the Makarios Bible uses the Divine Name nearly 6,000 times. (OT only, of course.)

The Russian Orthodox Church, as said by the Russians, do not like competition, even though the Jehovah's Witnesses weren't really trying to compete with them to begin with. The RoC and their allies (Alexander Dvorkin, French NGOs, The Satanist of Moscow, etc), hence why faiths that are seen as targets by the RoC are targeted, with the Jehovah's Witnesses being the more persistent and more harder to hit then others. They are paving a path for March 2018.

 

What has been going on in Russia is that since the JWs are not able to preach, the RoC begun street preaching, since most JW church halls are closed, also including other denominations who are not part of the RoC, the RoC has expanded especially in the domain of social media. Outside of Russia related things, not only are Christians being attacked more and persecuted, but there is a massive decline in Christianity, mostly to youth and millennials around the world. All this foreshadowing of the things to come, kinda like in a game or a movie when things begin to intensify, it is happening as we speak, especially with what went down late October 2017.

 

The ban on the bible is only a setup as to what this video speaks of (in the near future it won't just be the nwt bible banned, when something becomes prohibited, others will follow suit).
