Irene Kronberger

Irene (Borowitz) Kronberger passed away suddenly on January 2, 2018.  She was 75 years old.

She was born in a German Community in Yugoslavia in 1942 to Johann and Elizabeth Borowitz.  Irene and her mother immigrated to Philadelphia in 1950. Irene was a 1961 graduate of Palisades High School in Kintnersville, PA and Rudimar School of Beauty Culture in Philadelphia. In 1962 she married Albert Kronberger and moved to Palmyra, NJ.  Irene worked in a local beauty salon until the birth of their first child.  After that, Irene happily became a homemaker and hands-on mom to Monica and John. 

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Irene was very active and much-loved in her congregation.  Irene had great artistic talent, favoring pencil sketches and charcoal.  Irene enjoyed gardening. Well-maintained vegetable and flower gardens could be found through their yard.  Irene was naturally friendly and well-liked by all who knew her. Her beautiful smile never faded through the years and was often commented on, even by complete strangers. Irene's pleasures were simple, she loved being a grandmom and annual trips to Sharbot Lake Ontario to fish with Albert and enjoy nature.

Irene was pre-deceased by husband, Albert in 2012.

Irene is survived by daughter, Monica Horn (husband, Brian) of Palmyra and son, John (wife, Shannon) of Waxhaw, NC. Four grandchildren, Kevin, Jason, Brendan and Catherine.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 1:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 339 Bridgeboro Rd., Moorestown, NJ 08057.  Memorial contributions in Irene's memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at the above address.
