Vargas Dixie January 9, 2018 Dixie Vargas, 68, of Roanoke, Va., lost her courageous battle with Stage 4 lung cancer on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Belle Avenue. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Victor P. Vargas; infant daughter, Genise Vargas; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by daughter, Cyndi Mullins and her fiancé, Jamie Koch; granddaughter, Chelsea Mullins and her boyfriend, Harol Benitez; sister, Yvonne Cawley; sister-in-law, Deborah Richards; and several nieces and nephews. Her Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Belle Avenue. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
