The food display looks enticing to you doesn't it?

Well... it also is lickable and a temptation that some dogs also find irresistible

Think twice before wrapping your fingers around that sandwich or wrap..

And no... this wasn't a "service dog"
Public Health in restaurant establishments in the United States has plummeted over the past few years unfortunately.
People years ago would have been horrified by this.

But isn't a dogs tongue supposedly cleaner than a humans?   (why do I doubt this wives tale?)

You can already hail an autonomous taxi in Singapore. And Tokyo. And Moscow. China doesn't want to be left behind in this AI party, so Chinese Internet giant Baidu announced that it's working on a slate of self-driving passenger vehicles, including robo-taxis, that will go into testing as soon as next year in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province.
The news came as part of a series of AI vehicles announcements in Beijing at Baidu World, the company's annual technology conference, where Baidu also announced an AI deal with Ford.
"The era for autonomous passenger vehicles is upon us, but having only smart cars is not enough," Baidu Chairman and CEO Robin Li said. "We also need smart roads. By leveraging our capabilities in autonomous driving and AI technologies, we can develop comprehensive solutions that will greatly improve the efficiency of urban cities."

We are concerned about reports of canine heart disease, known as dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), in dogs that ate certain pet foods containing peas, lentils, other legumes or potatoes as their main ingredients. These reports are highly unusual as they are occurring in breeds not typically genetically prone to the disease,” said Martine Hartogensis, D.V.M., deputy director of the FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine’s Office of Surveillance and Compliance. “The FDA is investigating the potential link between DCM and these foods. We encourage pet owners and veterinarians to report DCM cases in dogs who are not predisposed to the disease.”
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine and the Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network, a collaboration of government and veterinary diagnostic laboratories, are investigating the potential association between reports of canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in dogs and certain pet foods the animals consumed, containing peas, lentils, other legume seeds or potatoes as main ingredients. Canine DCM is a disease of a dog’s heart muscle and often results in congestive heart failure. In cases that are not linked to genetics, heart function may improve with appropriate veterinary treatment and dietary modification if caught early.

As a pet owner, here’s a good rule of thumb to follow: If it’s too hot outside for you, then it’s way too hot for your dog.
Jason Nicholas, veterinarian and chief medical officer at Preventive Vet, says once weather hits 80 degrees Fahrenheit (which seems like Antarctica compared to last week’s 100-plus degree heat wave), pet owners should start taking precautions. Nicholas says he’s seen far too many cases of dogs with heatstroke, a deadly, but completely preventable, condition.
Why can't dogs handle the same weather that humans can? As much as the guy with long blonde hair may look like his similarly-styled Afghan hound, dogs and humans are separate species with much different tolerances to temperature. We have the luxury of being swathed in a massive, perspiring organ that cools us from head to toe. But dogs' thick fur coats make it harder for them to get rid of heat.
Instead of sweating, the main way a dog lowers its body temperature is through panting. These heavy, quick breaths expel heat and cause moisture to evaporate, which cools the blood in the mouth and tongue. However, certain conditions make this technique ineffective. In high humidity, evaporation happens more slowly—which means that even in a nice, shady refuge, no amount of panting will bring down a dog’s internal temperature.

ARLINGTON – A dog attacked two Jehovah’s Witnesses missionaries sharing their faith on Tuesday in Arlington, while two more people were also injured trying to restrain the animal, officials said.
The attack happened at 12:26 p.m. when a four-member missionary team arrived in a truck unannounced at a home in the 6500 block of 204th Street NE near Arlington Cemetery, city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
When police and fire personnel arrived, they found four people who suffered varying degrees of injuries. A 76-year-old woman seriously wounded in the attack was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, while her fellow missionary, a 40-year-old woman, was transported to Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington for treatment of minor injuries.
A 63-year-old woman and 31-year-old man associated with the home were also taken to Cascade with minor injuries.
The two other missionaries were not hurt.
Witnesses reported that two people were attacked by the dog, then two other were injured trying to restrain the dog, Banfield said.
The dog, believed to be a pit bull breed, was released to Arlington police and requested by the dog’s owner to be euthanized.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and have not shared details on what prompted the attack.

Dogs are equipped with a powerful sense of smell, but scientists haven’t been sure if our canine companions are capable of linking an aroma or scent to a physical object. New research suggests this is very much the case, and that dogs form a mental picture in their mind of the target when they’re tracking down a scent.
For humans, vision is an incredibly important sense. Dogs, by contrast, rely more on their senses of smell and hearing to gather information about the world around them. Their vision actually sucks, having a visual acuity that’s four to eight times worse than ours. What’s more, their line of sight is just a few inches off the ground (depending on the breed), so they’ve got a very truncated view of the horizon. And contrary to popular myth, dogs don’t see the world in black and white; they are red-green colorblind, meaning they can’t distinguish between objects that are green, yellow, and red.
But what they lack in visual acuity is compensated for by their powerful ears and noses. Dogs have excellent hearing, picking up frequencies between 40 Hz to 60 kHz, whereas humans hear between 12 Hz to 20 kHz. Canines have over 18 muscles in each ear, allowing them to independently orient their ears like radar dishes; dogs can hear sounds that are four times further away compared to humans.
And then there’s their remarkable sense of smell. Dogs have highly a specialized organ in their noses equipped with 300 million olfactory receptors. They’ve also got an olfactory organ in their brain that’s 40 times bigger than ours. The end result is a sense of smell that’s 10,000 times more powerful than humans. “If you make the analogy to vision, what you and I can see at a third of a mile, a dog could see more than 3,000 miles away and still see as well,” Florida State University scientist James Walker told Nova a few years back.

Man Builds 'Dog Train' To Take Rescued Pups Out On Little Adventures

Eugene Bostick may have officially retired about 15 years ago, but in some ways that was when his most impactful work began.
Not long after, he embarked on a new career path of sorts - as a train conductor for rescued stray dogs.
The lively 80-year-old Fort Worth, Texas, native says he never planned on dedicating his golden years to helping needy pets. Instead, it was a duty thrust upon him by the heartlessness of others.
"We live down on a dead-end street, where me and my brother have a horse barn," Bostick told The Dodo. "People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live."

The similar demolition of a Catholic church last year is prompting Christians to worry that the central government will begin ordering the mass destruction of church buildings nationwide as new religious regulations go into effect next month. These regulations grant the Chinese Communist Party increased power over religion, paving the way for escalated persecution.

President Trump and China President Xi Jinping were one belly-bump shy of a bromance during last month’s trade talks. But now, U.S. and China are back at each other’s throats.
      U.S. hits first
The Trump administration voted against recognizing China as a “market economy” in the WTO—a status that would allow China to export goods around the world at cheaper prices than competing countries.
What allows China to sell at cheaper prices? For one, government-backed subsidies that enable Chinese companies to trim expenses from their operations.
But China’s up in arms about the U.S.’ opposition. That’s because after joining the WTO in 2001, it was guaranteed market economy status 15 years later.
      So naturally, Xi kicked back
As the world’s steelmakers gathered Thursday to discuss a global oversupply, China crossed its arms and refused to slow down production (or at least, to be the only one slowing down production).
And that’s an issue, considering the country controls~50% of the world’s supply.

Everyone knows that a dog is a man’s best friend, but a recently released Swedish study is giving that hackneyed saying a whole new meaning for men — and women — everywhere.
The study, published in Scientific Reports on Friday, found that dog ownership may really help you live longer.
The study tracked, over a period of 12 years, more than 3.4 million Swedish adults without a history of heart disease. Overall, the study concluded, dog ownership was associated with lower risk of cardiovascular disease and "all-cause mortality" in the general population.
The effects of dog ownership were especially pronounced in single-person households, where the presence of a pet lowered the risk of death by 33 percent and chances of a heart attack by 11 percent.
The study linked ownership of breeds originally bred for hunting, including terriers and retrievers, with the lowest risk of CVD.

China is calling in the dogs on North Korea. Kim Jong-un has 120 days to close all North Korean businesses within Chinese borders.
That means 100,000 workers that help fund the North Korean regime to the tune of ~$230 million a year would be sent home packing.
The U.N. turned up the heat on China to crack down on North Korea in light of its nuclear missiles program—two warning shots over Japan and a handful of threats will do that. And China might be the only one with the key to Kim’s heart: trade.
China controls 80% of all trade (~$6.3 billion) that enters and exits North Korea. It has already cut off North Korea’s biggest exports (coal and textiles), and is capping the country’s biggest import (oil).
If Rogen and Franco couldn’t get Kim to negotiate, maybe China can.

Tesla has confirmed that it is now in talks with the Shanghai municipal government to build a Gigafactory and manufacture cars in the city’s tech sector, according to Reuters.
“While we expect most of our production to remain in the U.S., we need to establish local factories to ensure affordability for the markets they serve,” Tesla said in a statement.

Chinese regulations require Tesla to enter into a joint venture with a local company to manufacture vehicles in the country. While Tesla hasn’t announced a partner yet, all eyes are on Tencent Holdings, the Chinese internet company that holds a 5% stake in Musk’s company.
The EV company has not said which vehicles it plans to produce in China if and when the deal goes through, but the Reuters report cites a supplier source who says the company is considering Model 3 and Model Y production there.
The company plans to release more finalized plans by the end of 2017.
Tesla has previously shared that it is looking to build vehicles and batteries in China which would allow the company to avoid a 25% tariff on vehicles it sold in the country. Last year, Tesla’s sales in China tripled to over $1 billion, or roughly 1/7th of its total sales.
The company currently builds all of its vehicles in its Fremont factory in northern California and ships them worldwide, though the other half of its supply chain is firmly rooted in batteries. Tesla produces its newest 2170 lithium ion battery cells – the same cells being used in Tesla’s Model 3 – exclusively at Gigafactory 1 in Sparks, Nevada.
Tesla shares popped 1.5% at the news of the talks, leading to $382 in midday trading.

Tesla is close to securing a deal with the city of Shanghai that would allow the Silicon Valley-based electric carmaker to produce vehicles in China, according to a newly published report by Bloomberg.
Chinese regulations require Tesla to enter into a joint venture with a local company to manufacture vehicles in the country. Having a presence in the world’s largest electric vehicle market is a critical next step for Tesla as it seeks to scale production globally. Tesla has previously shared that it is looking to build vehicles and batteries in China which would allow the company to avoid a 25% tariff on vehicles it sold in the country. Last year, Tesla’s sales in China tripled to over $1 billion, or roughly 1/7th of its total sales.

With China serving as a hotbed for plug-in vehicles and manufacturing, it would be an ideal location for Tesla to lay down the framework for its customers in Asia. China is also home to 1/6th of the world population, and with its ever growing middle class represents a large market for its upcoming affordable Model 3 sedan.
The Chinese plug-in vehicle market is on the rise, as the country seeks to pivot away from smog producing internal combustion vehicles in favor of clean energy vehicles like Tesla’s Model S and Model X. To support these clean energy vehicles, China has exempted buyers from paying sales tax which can reach upwards of 115% of the purchase price of the vehicle.
The report by Bloomberg comes on the heels of the announcement that more than 6% of Tesla’s global sales were in Hong Kong, of which 7% of all vehicles sold were Teslas. That will likely change if proposed changes to the EV incentives are put into effect which would nearly double the price of a new Tesla.

Tesla currently builds all of its vehicles in its Fremont factory in northern California and ships them to customers across the globe, though the other half of its supply chain is firmly rooted in batteries. Production of its newest 2170 lithium ion battery cells – the same cells being used in Tesla’s Model 3 – is taking place exclusively at Gigafactory 1 in Sparks, Nevada. Contrary to early beliefs that Tesla would migrate the 2170 cell to its flagship vehicles, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that Model S and Model X battery packs would not be updated from the existing 18650 battery cell form factor.
Building a Gigafactory in close proximity to Panasonic’s existing Chinese factories like its recently opened factory in Dalian, China would drastically cut the length of the supply chain and minimize potential disruptions.
We have reached out to Tesla for comment and will update this story accordingly as we learn more.

    • ...... sigh ... no one EVER laughs at that reference ... except me ... and I never seem to tire of it.
    • I put this here to make you aware.  There are far right conspiracies everywhere -so be careful.  But in the light of George Orwell's 1984 book - this control of speech seems to be part of the "big brother" which can only augur misgivings about this rule of the UN.   ..... and we have bible prophecy to back it up.  Their peace will be deceiving!  When they call that - we will not be deceived!
    • Distilling many words into few words ... this quote seems to be where the "rubber meets the road". Everything Arauna said may be true, partially true, false, or partially false. ... and for a CERTAINTY, none of us on this blog can do ANYTHING about any of it. Nothing whatsoever ...... about any of it. Zero ... zip .... Nada .... Goose eggs. Somewhere in a parallel dimension known as "Toontown" Caleb and Sophia's pet laboratory mice are planning to take over the planet. Will they succeed? • Anna - The originator of the subject you referred me to - refers us to the Bilderberg's.  If I remember correctly it was started by the Dutch king.  Yes, all the most influential and richest companies and persons in the world attend this yearly meeting..... and I believe that they are honestly trying to use their money for what they think is a good cause for the world - unity under the united nations.  They of course cannot foresee that it will bring the worst tribulation ever. The reason being that the idea sounds wonderful but it is just another version of communism.  They call it 'communalism'.  Communism together with atheism brought 40 million deaths in Russia, 100 million under Mao se Tung etc etc and today we have a good example in North Korea.  Soros is also furthering the "no borders" agenda with his billions and has funded many organizations in USA to further this goal - some say to extent of 8 billion.  Most organizations such as black lives matter, Antifa etc has been infiltrated. Soros is also funding chaos.  He made his billions by creating chaos - funding organizations which generate dissidents or breaks banks and stock markets.  There are a few countries (in east and west) where he is a convicted criminal because of his subversive activities.  This happens when people have billions and use it for their own goals.  The Agenda 21 document is available to peruse and the 2018 UN Compact on migration as well.  The conservation side of it is a good idea.... but the rest is control of all human land, control of food and water, minerals, migration - basically everything and together with 5G surveillance and electronic money - everything you buy or sell will be visible.  In China at present they know everything about you and one cannot leave the country without permission.... having the right political credentials.   So in future we will not be able to buy or sell if we do not submit.   This is of course part of this new agreement - journalists will be re-trained to only print what is positive about this plan or it will bring repercussions in court.  If 20 countries do not sign - they will definitely circumvent it.   How do I know this? We have a good example in EU. When EU was created it was only a trade organization - for unity in trade. When they wanted to make a parliament - France objected.   They went behind the back of France and made agreements with all other European countries and therefore the EU parliament came into being - a dictatorship in Europe.  France had to go along after this and is now a proponent of the plans .  EU - I call it a dictatorship because the law-giving body has permanent members which cannot be voted off.  They are making terrible decisions in EU and the members just have to accept or face the financial penalties.  Journalists have been banned from next weeks UN signing of the Compact - only the ones who oppose the idea.  Many journalists who have researched Islam and knows about its political agenda have already had their funds cut off on Mastercard, Visa, Patreon and others.  THe idea that you cannot sell or buy is already here and most people do not know it!  Many people are disappearing off Youtube because their accounts have been blocked or their funding cut off.  If you allow the hate-speech of  islam you are accepted and if you write against it - you are far right. ...... So people like Jordan Peterson who talks against the new gender politics (which is also part of this new philosophy ) - are classified by them as far-right .  So this is where the far-left and far-right is the propaganda divide. All Islam countries are voting for this one world government because they think it is a way to forward their agenda of getting one world government under Islam.....  but they will meet their nemeses when UN dictates one world religion where all religions are acceptable and those who do not agree are in trouble.   The Bahai faith has its offices in UN building (they accept all religions as one religion and have been working with the UN since its inception) and the The Lucis Trust.  Read up about it.  It is basically a spiritistic organization....  Of course - the full extent of one world government may not be reached but UN is strong enough to push through its ideas. EU and UN are working together.  Why do I say UN is strong enough?  The new post modern philosophy with its gender studies and female studies and its cultural communism ideas is fostering revolution at most universities!  It has been in our schools for at least 20 years and at our universities.  But it is now so strong it cannot be counter balanced.  The new gender studies in schools is promoted by the UN and EU and is everywhere.  It teaches young children about gender change, oral sex and anal sex.  The reason?   The world population is a concern and consumerism is a concern to the UN.  So any sex which does not bring forth babies is acceptable. Hence the new morality that UN will force on us. Countries in Africa which do not promote these gender studies have been cut off from UN funds..... and they need it the most.  I can go on.... but This is the new reality .....  the plan is real.... how far it will materialize needs to be seen.  But we all know Satan is a deceiver and many  powerful organizations have been working behind the scenes to get their part of the pie.  Monsanto/Bayer is going to provide the world with food......they already have more than quarter of the market...  and we know how evil they are..... if you are familiar with their history.  I have to go.... but I find it interesting that bible prophecy is accurate!  Who understands these prophecies?   Other organizations .... or Jehovah's very fallible servants.
