DONATIONS.......

Jesus praised the widow who gave two coins of very little value. Some may be inclined to think that their contributions don't make a difference and that only those who can donate more to the world wide work than we can are the ones that really matter.

Let's consider the value of a penny, for example. (Hold up each coin as it is discussed.) What can you buy with a penny? Virtually, nothing. But if every publisher in the United States just donated one penny each to the worldwide work, it would be enough to supply a foreign branch with the computer equipment it needs for a translation department.

What can you buy with a nickel? Again, very little. Now suppose each publisher in the country donated just five cents. Together, the donations would be enough to buy a piece of earth moving equipment for a foreign branch. Many branches have no equipment like this.

What is a dime to you? You can't buy very much with a dime. Maybe some candy. Did you know that if every publisher in America gave ten cents, combined donations would be enough to build five Kingdom Halls in a foreign land?

What about a quarter? It will buy you one local telephone call here--but it is enough to build an Assembly Hall in another part of the world! And what if we all gave a dollar?

A dollar would be enough to build a foreign branch !  So, never think, that what you can give is so insignificant that it is worthless to Jehovah. He uses the whole-soul generosity of his worshipers collectively to successfully support a worldwide witness and he will bless our efforts.
