The Fruits of God’s Holy Spirit 

LOVE is a tie that binds
It’s a bearer of all things
It can be found in this world
Beneath the safety of God’s wings

JOY is a happy glee
So rare to be found today
But among Jehovah’s people
It is the only way

PEACE is a warming calm
But where can it be found
In this war-torn, terrorized world
Among God’s people it abounds

PATIENCE is waiting happily
Enduring with a smile
But not so long that we
Can’t make it for a while

KINDNESS is a virtue
We zealously achieve
In imitation of Jesus
What we give, we receive

GOODNESS is benevolence
So elusive yet we see
It’s something we can cultivate
Through prayer and a plea

FAITH is the expectation
Of things we’ve hoped for
Not quite yet beheld
But it’s knocking at the door

MILDNESS and humility
Always go hand in hand
Not found in Satan’s world
That’s sinking in the sand

SELF-CONTROL comes last of all
But never least essential
It keeps us held together
When life gets so torrential

Holy Spirit or the World’s Spirit?
5 The provision of holy spirit was not limited to the first century. It is readily available today, and God’s spirit can give us the strength to do what is right as well as energize us in his service. (Rom. 12:11; Phil. 4:13) It can also produce in us tender qualities, such as love, kindness, and goodness, which are aspects of “the fruitage of the spirit.” (Gal. 5:22, 23) However, Jehovah God does not force his holy spirit upon unwilling recipients.
