Dr. Rodríguez Sendín: “El médico debe respetar la voluntad del testigo de Jehová que ha rechazado una transfusión de sangre”

El Dr. Juan José Rodríguez Sendín, presidente de la Comisión Central de Deontología de la Organización Médica Colegial (OMC), explicó a esta publicación que la voluntad registrada por el paciente prevalece sobre cualquier criterio clínico, en referencia al caso de la joven testigo de Jehová de unos veinte años que permanece en estado crítico en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) del Hospital San Jorge de Huesca, sin que los especialistas puedan llevar a cabo una transfusión de sangre para tratar de salvar su vida debido a las instrucciones que dejó la paciente antes de ser intervenida

El caso ha sucedido en el Hospital San Jorge de Huesca.

El Dr. Rodríguez Sendín señaló que “cuando se trata de no hacer algo con su vida, prima la voluntad del paciente. Es diferente cuando desea que el médico realice alguna acción, en este caso prevale el criterio del profesional en relación a la buena práctica”. Añadió que “si el médico no respetase la voluntad del paciente, constituiría una falta grave. Si el enfermo es consciente de los riesgos que le han detallado, y a pesar de ello continúa insistiendo, hay que aceptar su decisión, como sucede también en casos de huelga de hambre”.     

Los hechos, dados a conocer por el Heraldo de Aragón, fueron puestos esta semana en conocimiento del juzgado de guardia de la capital altoaragonesa por uno de los facultativos de la UCI del hospital oscense ante la imposibilidad de consultarlo directamente con la paciente

Tras ser intervenida quirúrgicamente días atrás, la joven sufrió una peritonitis aguda que llevó a los médicos a inducirle un coma y a plantearse la necesidad de llevar a cabo una transfusión de sangre. Sin embargo, la paciente dejó escrito en su testamento vital y, de acuerdo a sus creencias, su posición de rechazo absoluto a las transfusiones de sangre, que los testigos de Jehová no aceptan por motivos religiosos.

Fuentes del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Aragón (TSJA) informaron el jueves de que la titular del Juzgado de Instrucción nº 1 de Huesca recibió el informe médico mientras se encontraba de guardia y se le advirtió del rechazo de la joven a una transfusión, en virtud de la Ley de Autonomía del Paciente. Según estas fuentes, la magistrada, a la vista de la documentación aportada, resolvió sobreseer la demanda al entender que no existía ningún problema legal en relación con la situación de la paciente.

Estas fuentes no hacían referencia alguna a la posición de la familia de la joven respecto a la situación en la que se encuentra actualmente su hija. Sin embargo, según informó Radio Huesca, la familia de la chica solicitó que se realizara la transfusión, pero la Fiscalía de Huesca, tras recibir el informe de los especialistas de la UCI, decidió no intervenir tras valorar que la paciente es mayor de edad y está legitimada para tomar una decisión respecto a los tratamientos médicos que rechaza recibir.

Según informaron fuentes judiciales, el juzgado de guardia en Huesca no habría recibido este viernes ningún otro escrito referido al caso, por lo que los especialistas carecen de opciones para poder llevar a cabo la transfusión aconsejada. Estas fuentes precisaron que este caso no es el único que se ha registrado en la Comunidad aragonesa a lo largo de los últimos años en relación con pacientes testigos de Jehová, cuyas creencias les llevan a rechazar la mezcla o ingesta de sangre.

El milagro de Liliana: la testigo de Jehová dispuesta a morir sale del estado crítico

La joven de 20 años permanece en coma inducido desde principios de marzo. Dejó firmado que se negaba a recibir una transfusión de sangre, por cuestiones religiosas. Los padres han intentado revocar el documento. Ahora, el milagro se ha obrado y Liliana ha recuperado la consciencia.

En la UCI del Hospital San Jorge (Huesca) hay una sala de espera para los familiares de los pacientes. Durante casi un mes, los padres de Liliana no la han abandonado. Su hija de 20 años estaba en coma inducido y se negaba a recibir una transfusión sanguínea, vital para su supervivencia. El motivo es que es Testigo de Jehová. Pero dese este lunes, los padres de Liliana se han permitido abandonar esa sala por unas horas. El milagro se ha obrado: Liliana se ha despertado.

Este lunes, por primera vez desde que ingresó a principios de marzo, la chica consiguió intercambiar algunas palabras con sus padres. Su estado todavía es muy delicado, pero ha vuelto en sí. Después de dos semanas en coma inducido, esta limpiadora portuguesa residente en Jaca ha recuperado la consciencia. Y lo ha hecho justo el día en el que su caso ocupaba páginas en medios de todo el país: Liliana, miembro de los Testigos de Jehová, se negó a que realizasen una transfusión de sangre aunque su vida dependiese de ello.

Se obró el milagro

Liliana ha estado muy grave, pero parece que el milagro se ha obrado: se ha recuperado de forma espontánea. Su caso dio un giro este lunes por la mañana. La joven permanecía ingresada en el hospital desde principios de marzo. Llegó aquejada de fuertes abdominales. Los doctores le diagnosticaron una peritonitis. Lo más preocupante era que tenía unos niveles tan bajos de hemoglobina en la sangre que requería una transfusión urgente para garantizar que sobreviviría.

Como Liliana estaba inconsciente, la responsabilidad recaía, a priori, en sus familiares directos. Pero en el hospital se percataron de que la chica tenía otros planes. Como miembro de los Testigos de Jehová desde hace algo más de un año, tiene prohibido ser transfundida. Para asegurarse de que no recibía sangre de nadie en un caso como el que se ha dado, firmó un documento de Instrucciones Previas. Una especie de testamento vital en el que dejaba claro que se negaba a recibir sangre por motivos religiosos.

    • It appears to me that this is a key aspect of the 2030 initiative ideology. While the Rothschilds were indeed influential individuals who were able to sway governments, much like present-day billionaires, the true impetus for change stems from the omnipotent forces (Satan) shaping our world. However, it is up to individuals to decide how they choose to worship God. Satanism, as a form of religion, cannot be regarded as a true religion. Consequently, just as ancient practices of child sacrifice had a place in God's world, such sacrifices would never be accepted by the True God of our universe. Despite the promising 2030 initiative for those involved, it is unfortunately disintegrating due to the actions of certain individuals in positions of authority. What kind of sacrifice does Satan accept with the death of babies and children in places like Gaza, Ukraine, and other conflicts around the world, whether in the past or present, that God wouldn't? Whatever personal experiences we may have had with well-known individuals, true Christians understand that current events were foretold long ago, and nothing can prevent them from unfolding. What we are witnessing is the result of Satan's wrath upon humanity, as was predicted. A true religion will not involve itself in the politics of this world, as it is aware of the many detrimental factors associated with such engagement. It understands the true intentions of Satan for this world and wisely chooses to stay unaffected by them.
    • This idea that Satan can put Jews in power implies that God doesn't want Jews in power. But that would also imply that God only wants "Christians" including Hitler, Biden, Pol Pot, Chiang Kai-Shek, etc. 
    • @Mic Drop, I don't buy it. I watched the movie. It has all the hallmarks of the anti-semitic tropes that began to rise precipitously on social media during the last few years - pre-current-Gaza-war. And it has similarities to the same anti-semitic tropes that began to rise in Europe in the 900's to 1100's. It was back in the 500s AD/CE that many Khazars failed to take or keep land they fought for around what's now Ukraine and southern Russia. Khazars with a view to regaining power were still being driven out into the 900's. And therefore they migrated to what's now called Eastern Europe. It's also true that many of their groups converted to Judaism after settling in Eastern Europe. It's possibly also true that they could be hired as mercenaries even after their own designs on empire had dwindled.  But I think the film takes advantage of the fact that so few historical records have ever been considered reliable by the West when it comes to these regions. So it's easy to fill the vacuum with some very old antisemitic claims, fables, rumors, etc..  The mention of Eisenhower in the movie was kind of a giveaway, too. It's like, Oh NO! The United States had a Jew in power once. How on earth could THAT have happened? Could it be . . . SATAN??" Trying to tie a connection back to Babylonian Child Sacrifice Black Magick, Secret Satanism, and Baal worship has long been a trope for those who need to think that no Jews like the Rothschilds and Eisenhowers (????) etc would not have been able to get into power in otherwise "Christian" nations without help from Satan.    Does child sacrifice actually work to gain power?? Does drinking blood? Does pedophilia??? (also mentioned in the movie) Yes, it's an evil world and many people have evil ideologies based on greed and lust and ego. But how exactly does child sacrifice or pedophilia or drinking blood produce a more powerful nation or cabal of some kind? To me that's a giveaway that the authors know that the appeal will be to people who don't really care about actual historical evidence. Also, the author(s) of the video proved that they have not done much homework, but are just trying to fill that supposed knowledge gap by grasping at old paranoid and prejudicial premises. (BTW, my mother and grandmother, in 1941 and 1942, sat next to Dwight Eisenhower's mother at an assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses. The Eisenhower family had been involved in a couple of "Christian" religions and a couple of them associated with IBSA and JWs for many years.)
