Watchtower Society attacks jw.help

The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania has blocked our YouTube channel and our Instagram account for alleged trademark infringement. It is to be feared that further Internet appearances will be affected.

We strongly disagree with this alleged trademark infringement. The brand jw.help is protected in Germany. Therefore, we will take legal action to defend jw.help.

On the one hand, we are pleased that our work is even registered as far as the USA, as we mostly turn to a German audience. On the other hand, this approach also shows how Jehovah's Witnesses are trying by all means to eliminate critics and enlighteners.

Please support us in our efforts to continue to educate Jehovah's Witnesses and other sects and to advise and assist their victims. Especially in the current situation, we depend on their donations.

We would like to thank all those who already support us!

I hate to say this, and I'm not a lawyer, but jw.help is gonna lose this one badly and should put up a completely different logo and beg forgiveness immediately. It's pretty clear jw.help is “diluting” jw.org by having an official-looking logo and serving as an alternate source of information about the org.

Hopefully they get to keep the name. That's pretty sweet.

It is not about winning and neither is it to try to block you.  (Jesus said we must not resist the wicked).  However, It looks like a JW logo..... period.  I worked in public relations throughout my life and I would not like anyone using my color, shape and script  in a logo (perfect imitation) to divert my customers to a different site. That is the simple reality of it.

Think the Society's Lawyers will challenge THIS one?

It's an even CLOSER infringement than the blue rectangle "JW HELP" logo.

....besides, it is my understanding that the US Trademark Office originally refused to register their JW.ORG logo in the square blue rectangle because it already infringed on someone else's trademark, or was too generic.   I forget the details.

FORTUNATELY ... Mr. Google, who resides on Funk and Wagnall's  front Porch with a collection of mayonnaise jars filled with answers, know everything, and here is the link ....

If it was me, I would not mess with the Society's Lawyers ... they never sleep (...looking over their billing times sheets, if they cross an international dateline, they can bill for 25 hours a day, even if it's just to do a thousand successive down votes on a blog somewhere.), and they can swim with sharks without fear .... getting professional courtesy.

Besides, resistance is futile, and it's awkward being assimilated.
