Sadly, many news agencies put sensationalism and ratings ahead of the integrity of their news stories, because their employers put profit above all else. Remember when a news anchor, journalist or reporter would never release their story until they verified its accuracy?

Whistleblowers, if honest, should actually FACE their accused .... it is a right all accused people have as a natural right.

Because the accused has a right to face his accuser and answer charges, face to face, the whistleblower has NO RIGHT to anonymity.
