It is good to learn children about charity and sharing with others. But, is it really proper to do that with Institutional Cartoons of Company who have real-estate riches, stocks, etc?

Since the beginning of time, parents have taught children to be generous. You just don’t like the recipient of that generosity. What if she had donated to some charity? You think the United Way is operating on a shoe-string budget?—they spend a dime only when they receive one? That they don’t know what real-estate or stocks are? You’re almost as ridiculous as 4Jah, attempting to pawn off your dislike of Jehovah as human altruism.

Oh, give me a break! Is that what you think is the prime export of schools today? Then why is suicide, anti-depressants, STDs, porn addiction, online bullying, and so forth, off the charts among them?

Facebook just told me. “Today is so-and-so’s birthday! Let him know you’re thinking about him.”

He died years ago.

In the greater scheme of things, it probably does no damage. Or maybe it does, in firmly planting the notion that things in this system are insincere & phony

Me too! And I've noticed that the majority of those who leave, stop using it. To me that says a lot.

If he would be equally outraged at a child expressing support for his school, love for his country, support for some local cause, rallying for some local politician, selling Scout cookies, knocking on

Yes. Of course. He will be merging “Almighty God” with Jesus Chrst presently, if he hasn’t already, and it may not be long after that he sends “Almighty God” to the ash heap entirely to worship Jesus.

You are such a whiny little girl you don’t even notice when the barbs you hurl contradict themselves. Here you advocate building an immune system and would condemn anyone neglecting to do so:

Here you go in exactly the opposite direction as you draw on the pandemic.

The last people you want in these pandemic days are those who trust in their immune system. These are the ones who protest the most about wearing masks accepting vaccines. Before you let fly, think of whether what you say makes any sense. It usually doesn’t.

You may not have noticed, but not all parents in the world are ideal. There is good reason to test the waters before you toss your child into it. What did I just to your ally? It’s not uncommon for children to be completely neglected emotionally and physically. They fall into depression, anxiety, and suicide as the reassuring world Srecko promises them falls apart. They become addicted to violent gaming, to online porn, to cyberbullying. They are afflicted with STDs. They are unsupported even in gender and are persuaded that maybe switching them is the pathway to happiness.

To touch upon your favorite topic, if you can hold families together, as Witnesses do to a far greater extent than the overall world, you are taking a huge step in fighting child sexual abuse. There is no place more conducive to it than in ever-changing boyfriends and girlfriends in the wake of a divorce. A step family is far more fertile grounds for CSA than a natural family.

You would think that receiving a child-like letter from a child would be a small price to pay for knowing that child is raised in an environment that will spare him those calamities, even if it presents some unique circumstances of its own. So much hatred does the world have for meaningful religion that there are few Witnesses not familiar with the scenario of someone having cleaned up their act, quit their smoking, drinking, thieving, carousing, and generally odious ways, saved their marriage,  only to find that people, sometimes even family, prefer them as they were.

Why do you ask me a question and then answer it yourself? You are such a shrill bonehead.

Um let's see now.

This is followed by a completely strange wording that invites the recipient of the letter to go to JWORG

Tom's words here Do you think so? I would submit that the entire letter is strange, and all of it might trigger outrage from an intolerant person.

Um, me thinks Tom is the pot calling the kettle black. he also answers his own questions.

Mr Harley, I have no dislike for Almighty God or Jesus Christ. But you are here going back to ye olde Watchtower / JW teachings of the Org being God. That does show how you have been brainwashed tom. Almighty God and Jesus Christ are no part of the Watchtower or JW Org. Therefore i can dislike the GB, the Watchtower and the JW Org, without disliking God and Christ.

I wish I could copy and paste something i have on file. Something that @JW Insider uploaded a long time ago. About a young man at Bethel that got himself into a bit of trouble, was d/fed, and then JUMPED IN FROM OF A TRAIN. SUICIDE.  So it happens inside the Org and outside. I know of an Elder that commited suicide by running his car engine and inhaling the  exaust fumes whilst drinking alcohol.

This is obviously untrue. JWs kick their children out if the children disobey the parents or  GB / JW org.  Those parents demand their children get baptised into the JW org, then when a child goes 'astray' that child is thrown out on the streets without anyone to turn to. Then you wonder why that child will turn to the 'world' to stay alive.

A child raies in that environment is probably dictated to by their parents and told to do those things. That is what the article is saying. We've even read on here about a GB member saying with hold things from children unless they do such and such, including baptism.

Meaningful religion ? Forcing children to serve MEN. Forcing children to do ministry even if they do not believe, what they have to tell others.  Having read reports online, which yes i do believe, about teenagers that left home as soon as they were able, because they had been overly controlled by their parents. Especially if dad was an Elder. Because Elders have to prove a point by displaying their children as 'perfect little JW's'.

Not to mention those that have done the complete opposite. Adultry in congregations is well known. Elders running off with the lady they study with.  Child Sexual Abuse. to name but a few.

Stop living in a dream world tom, see the truth of the Watchtower / JW Org.

Someone please explain to Tom that,    One is spiritual, the other is physical.

    • … and donchew forget now … the GB now allows Sisters to come to meetings and go out in field service in slacks or Mumus.  Or slacks AND Mumus, if poundage appropriate. Did I ever mention I once dated a Sister that made Mumus out of parachutes? She was an Opera singer, and had a UN diplomatic passport. She was on “speed”, couldn’t blink, and typed 600 words a minute with 100% errors. Occasionally she would get lipstick in her eyebrows.
    • In my perspective, when the Smithsonian Magazine covers a topic, I am inclined to trust their expertise. As for the shadows here, I see no benefit in entertaining irrational ideas from others. Let them hold onto their own beliefs. We shouldn't further enable their self-deception and misleading of the public.
    • Hey Self! 🤣I came across this interesting conspiracy theory. There are scholars who firmly believe in the authenticity of those artifacts. I value having conversations with myself. The suggestion of a mentally ill person has led to the most obscure manifestation of a group of sorrowful individuals. 😁
    • I have considered all of their arguments. Some even apply VAT 4956 to their scenarios, which is acceptable. Anyone can use secular evidence if they genuinely seek understanding. Nonetheless, whether drawing from scripture or secular history, 607 is a plausible timeframe to believe in. People often misuse words like "destruction", "devastation", and "desolation" in an inconsistent manner, similar to words like "besiege", "destroy", and "sack". When these terms are misapplied to man-made events, they lose their true meaning. This is why with past historians, the have labeled it as follows: First Capture of Jerusalem 606 BC Second Capture of Jerusalem 598 BC Third Capture of Jerusalem 587 BC Without taking into account anything else.  Regarding the second account, if we solely rely on secular chronology, the ancient scribes made military adaptations to align with the events recorded in the Babylonian Chronicles. However, the question arises: Can we consider this adaptation as accurate?  Scribes sought to include military components in their stories rather than focusing solely on biblical aspects. Similarly, astronomers, who were also scholars, made their observations at the king's request to divine omens, rather than to understand the plight of the Jewish people. Regarding the third capture, we can only speculate because there are no definitive tablets like the Babylonian chronicles that state 598. It is possible that before the great tribulation, Satan will have influenced someone to forge more Babylonian chronicles in order to discredit the truth and present false evidence from the British Museum, claiming that the secular view was right all along. This could include documents supposedly translated after being found in 1935, while others were found in the 1800s. The Jewish antiquities authorities have acknowledged the discovery of forged items, while the British Museum has not made similar acknowledgments. It is evident that the British Museum has been compelled to confess to having looted or stolen artifacts which they are unwilling to return. Consequently, I find it difficult to place my trust in the hands of those who engage in such activities. One of the most notable instances of deception concerning Jewish antiquities was the widely known case of the ossuary belonging to James, the brother of Jesus. I was astonished by the judge's inexplicable justification for acquittal, as it was evident that his primary concern was preserving the reputation of the Jewish nation, rather than unearthing the truth behind the fraudulent artifact. The judge before even acknowledged it. "In his decision, the judge was careful to say his acquittal of Golan did not mean the artifacts were necessarily genuine, only that the prosecution had failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Golan had faked them." The burden of proof is essential. This individual not only forged the "Jehoash Tablet," but also cannot be retried for his deceit. Why are they so insistent on its authenticity? To support their narrative about the first temple of Jerusalem. Anything to appease the public, and deceive God. But then again, after the Exodus, when did they truly please God? So, when it comes to secular history, it's like a game of cat and mouse.
