"JEHOVAH GOD is the Grand Identifier of his true messengers. He identifies them by making the messages he delivers through them come true. Jehovah is also the Great Exposer of false messengers. How does he expose them? He frustrates their signs and predictions. In this way he shows that they are self-appointed prognosticators, whose messages really spring from their own false reasoning—yes, their foolish, fleshly thinking!"w97 5/1 p. 8 I found this wt. quote after answering a JW on reddit w

This question that you asked, hit the core. WTJWorg with GB leadership has been supporting its own chronology of past and future events for decades. Certainly, most of the effort was invested in proving that "Armageddon is at the very door" and that it will happen in a certain period of time. Sometimes this included a precisely expressed year, sometimes a short period bounded by the lifespan of a “generation” or the end of a century (e.g., the 20th century). Indeed, should one have faith and c

It proves that the Watchtower / JW Org needs to provide a 'carrot', a bribe, a false promise. So the next question needs to be. What will God or Christ replace this with ?

THE story is told of a boy who watched the sheep of the villagers. To stir up a bit of excitement, one day he cried out, “Wolf! Wolf!” when there was no wolf. The villagers rushed out with clubs to drive off the wolf, only to find that there was none. It was such great fun that later on the boy repeated his cry. Again the villagers rushed out with their clubs, only to discover that it was another false alarm. After that a wolf did come, and the boy sounded the warning, “Wolf! Wolf!” but the villagers dismissed his cry as another false alarm. They had been fooled too often.
So it has become with those who proclaim the end of the world. Down through the centuries since Jesus’ day, so many unfulfilled predictions have been made that many no longer take them seriously.
Does the failure of such predictions to come true convict as false prophets those who made them, within the meaning of Hello guest! Please register or sign in (it's free) to view the hidden content. ? That text reads: “The prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. And in case you should say in your heart: ‘How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?’ when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak.”
There are some who make spectacular predictions of the world’s end to grab attention and a following, but others are sincerely convinced that their proclamations are true. They are voicing expectations based on their own interpretation of some scripture text or physical event. They do not claim that their predictions are direct revelations from Jehovah and that in this sense they are prophesying in Jehovah’s name. Hence, in such cases, when their words do not come true, they should not be viewed as false prophets such as those warned against at Hello guest! We can see the Wt is trying to remove itself from being labeled “false prophets”. Does this mean that God also has turned a blind eye to their many failed predictions as they have done?
The leaders of “Israel” and all anointed (New Jerusalem/holy city) are to bear the name of God, symbolically. (Jer 25:29; Dan 9:18)  Anything that comes out of their mouths is to be in truth with Jesus Christ’s teachings. But are they?  Jesus tells us that we can detect the false teachers/prophets from the genuine teachers he has sent, by what comes out of their mouth, what “fruit”/teachings they have produced.  (Matt 7:15-19)  In Matt 7:15, Jesus calls them “false prophets" - "ravaging wolves".
The second key to labeling the leaders of the organization as false prophets is their “voicing expectations based on their own human interpretations.”  God calls these ones, false prophets, because they are “prophesying” and filling their hearers with false hopes…as well as grabbing the attention and a following of those witnessed to, as in the house-to-house work.
“This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.”  Jer 23:16
“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”  2 Pet 1:20,21
Can an organization claim to be guided by Holy Spirit when every prophesy made, was at the will of a human and not the will of God?
“Offer yourself as a role model of good actions. Show integrity, seriousness, 8 and a sound message that is above criticism when you teach, so that any opponent will be ashamed because they won’t find anything bad to say about us.”  Titus 2:7-9

It is a lie that the WT has never called itself "prophets".  Wt. 1972 Apr 1 pp.197-199 'They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them'

Below is an excerpt from the "Golden Age" magazine of April 2, 1930 pg 446
Truly, this is a patriarchal organization, from the ground up. Its foundation is formed by such teachings.  Remember, 1914 was taught during this same time period; a belief that has changed colors many times since Russel.  Should JWs today scoff at the answer to the question, yet readily accept 1914?  JWs are quick to state they live according to Jesus’ teachings, while also playing ignorant to what he tells us:
“Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves. 16 You will know them by what they produce.
“People don’t pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles, do they? 17 In the same way every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a rotten tree cannot produce good fruit. 19 Any tree that fails to produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into a fire. 20 So you will know them by what they produce.”  Matt 7:15-20
No wonder the WT to this day, teaches that God’s anointed men and women will become clones –  women transformed into men with white beards, when reigning in the Kingdom of God.
Do you really believe this, JWs?
Jesus continues in the same chapter of Matthew:
“Therefore, everyone who hears what I say and obeys it will be like a wise person who built a house on rock. 25 Rain poured, and floods came. Winds blew and beat against that house. But it did not collapse, because its foundation was on rock.
26 “Everyone who hears what I say but doesn’t obey it (who doesn’t take Jesus’s admonition of what a “good tree” produces) will be like a foolish person who built a house on sand. 27 Rain poured, and floods came. Winds blew and struck that house. It collapsed, and the result was a total disaster.”  Matt 7:24-27

Daniel 12:6 Jehovah sends an angel to ask another angel: “How long will it be to the end of these marvelous things?” The other angel "the man clothed in linen" is inspired by Jehovah, raises both hands to Heaven and answers twice! One at verse 7, then verses 11 & 12. Just as the angel raises both hands to Heaven, there are 2 fulfillments, there are 2 beasts, the first dies, but rises again with greater power today. This who Jesus spoke about at Matthew 24: 15 “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment).
Today we can use discernment as we see the dashing to pieces of the “power” of the holy ones in the hindrance of the “public” ministry caused by Covid19. We will see a greater attack on that ministry of Spiritual Israel under the rule of the King of the South as the world turns on religion.
Jesus stated that no man knows the day or hour, that was true then, because only Jehovah knew how long He gave Satan to prove his point. Only Jehovah could look into the last days and see when the constant feature would stop, the days are counted from then until the first day people will enjoy true happiness. This is the most important day to live for.
John 4:23 states "Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for indeed, the Father is looking for ones like these to worship him." Why is God having to search for "True Worshippers"? Because the world is almost all "False Worshippers", denied understanding as stated at Daniel 12:10.  It's amazing how He has hidden the truth from minds, religions formed before the last days were formed without all the facts, even though they could read it over and over, because of their heart’s inclination, He has hidden the facts from them. How the primary resurrection will occur on Earth, that the land would be apportioned out to those choosing to live as a subject of the sovereignty of the Almighty God Jehovah.
Jehovah longs to talk with His friends of old like Noah, Abraham, David as well as Daniel. Daniel has seen Michael/Jesus stand up and the start of the resurrection which will benefit him, how he will stand up for his lot. verse 13. God has promised them the "Promised Land", a greater land then the small area of Israel, the whole planet will become a blessed restoration of the Edenic starting place. Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you, in the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Consider too Acts 3:21 "Heaven must hold this one within itself until the times of restoration of all things of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets of old." The true reward that so many have hoped for now has a starting date!
If you have given your life to Jehovah and enjoy a relationship with Him, Read and Meditate on Daniel 12, pray for insight and understanding, for knowledge, wisdom, for faith and integrity for the days ahead!  For whether we live or die, we belong to Jehovah and will enjoy our lot just like Daniel.
