Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars

Something a lot of people don't know. Jada has hair loss, this is why she shaved her head. She's been open about it and it's a hurtful topic for her. Chris Rock just literally made fun of her having a medical issue. Look at Jada's face after the joke. You could tell she was hurt. While the cameras weren't pointed at Will Smith, I'm sure he looked at his wife, could see the hurt and then reacted.

Denzel Washington was seen later kneeling beside Jada with his arm around her and talking to her. I think he was just making sure she was okay. Will Smith smiles and let's a lot roll off his back, but I think seeing his wife hurt, just pissed him off. I take it as Will Smith was defending her, and I stand with Will Smith. You got a lot of guts getting up in the middle of a live show and smacking him for that. Chris Rock deserved it IMO. Don't make a joke about peoples struggles and you won't get slapped.

i dont kno if the smack was planned, but the indignation right after seems pretty real..

An attack by a man who is sensitive. For if he truly felt the need to do so, he would not have been laughing at the joke itself prior. Namely towards a comedian of whom joked about the person in question in the past; in his presence.

That being said, Hollywood is Hollywood. Often times, a distraction to serious things taking place.

Yo no defendería a un hombre que no puede controlar sus emociones. Ahora me hace pensar que también reacciona así con su familia, en su casa cuando algo no le parece. Él tiene historia en eso, como cuando Janet Hubert dijo que él la maltrataba en el set del Prince of Bel Air. Hay maneras de hacerle saber a Chris que estaba mal lo que hizo, ¿por qué no decirle después del premiación? Quizás Chris hubiese emitido una disculpa pública por lo que dijo de la esposa de Will. Por eso el mundo está como está porque reaccionamos mal y dejamos que nuestras emociones nos controlen la mayor parte del tiempo. Irónicamente, Will tuvo que pedir disculpas a todo el mundo y Chris quedó como victima o cómo héroe por si saber cómo comportarse ante las provocaciones

Because it goes to show you that a woman, of whom is known to have multiple partners, was able to control someone who is both broken and sensitive. The police were actually in the area, wanting to arrest Will Smith for Battery, but the venue holder refused because Chris Rock refused.

All in all, Hollywood is no different from institutions, for you see decent people in the corners, but at it's core, there are the demented, mentally depraved, sinister, sick and broken, and in this case, a feeble person who is being controlled.

That being said, it goes to show you how Society, be it in the West, as is with their allies, as weaken both men and women, in turn, this ideology is pushed on to the children.
