1.) commercialism.

2.) there is no connection whatsoever, merely a coincidence that the Flood was supposedly at the end of October, which there’s no way to prove it, and Halloween being at the end of October.

Merely an attempt of various pseudo-scholars with their heads stuck up there butts,  trying to hypnotize people with many words, which almost always works.

How do you determine that the "second month" in Genesis 7:11 was not April/May?

(Genesis 7:11, 12) . . .In the 600th year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the 17th day of the month, on that day all the springs of the vast watery deep burst open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And the rain poured down on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.

Those who say it was the second month of the secular calendar (October/November) rather than the sacred calendar (April/May) are relying on Josephus. The Insight book admits this here:

The eighth lunar month of the sacred calendar of the Israelites corresponding to the second month of the secular calendar. (1Ki 6:37, 38; Ge 7:11) It included part of October and part of November. . . .According to Genesis 7:11 and 8:14, the Flood of Noah’s day began on the 17th day of “the second month,” . . . . Concerning this, Josephus (Jewish Antiquities, I, 80 [iii, 3]) commented: “This catastrophe happened in the six hundredth year of Noah’s rulership, in what was once the second month, called by the Macedonians Dius and by the Hebrews Marsuan, according to the arrangement of the calendar which they followed in Egypt.” Therefore, according to Josephus, the second month in Noah’s time corresponded to the month Bul, or Marheshvan.

If Josephus is right then the Flood started in the second month of the secular calendar which (in modern times) begins probably on about October 5 at the earliest and November 5 at the latest. If the Flood started on the 17th of the month, that means that the flood could have run from about October 22 through December 2 at the earliest, or November 22 through January 2, at the latest. The average would have been closer to November 9th for the start.

But even this is according to an established modern Hebrew calendar. The ancient Biblical Hebrew calendar had an even wider range of dates for each month to begin and end. There was a chance that these ranges could have been "off" by another 15 days in either direction, although the average start date would remain about the same.

But none of that accounts for the strong possibility that the second month could also refer to the month of May, for example. Consider that the first month is Nisan is when we celebrate the Memorial, always in March/April. That makes the second month April/May. Notice that Exodus associates the 15th day of the second month, with the month after the Passover and right after coming out of Egypt. That was only two days before the flood anniversary on the 17th day of the second month.

(Exodus 16:1) . . .After they departed from Eʹlim, the entire assembly of the Israelites eventually came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Eʹlim and Siʹnai, on the 15th day of the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt.

     halloween is a sacred day to alot of those in usa and other places and falls on the same day as the wicked were killed at the flood ,you see the images of skeletons etc .it was a sad day for the unrepentant

     sinners whose bodies littered the planet at that exact time and is still celebrated today

I think what you have here is what’s called a “mash up”, we take two totally unrelated things and combine them because it’s interesting and funny, or just interesting, both a very high probability of just being a figment of your imagination.

I would like to see how you actually tie the flood of Noah’s day,Into Halloween with some actual real world definite links.

And while you’re at it, you might want to explain how the kangaroos got all the way across Asia and swam to Australia without leaving any trace of those that died of starvation predation or other causes of death along the way.

just because an idea involves parts of real things …. Does not mean mashing them together is real.

I suppose, with October 31st coming up, it is time to remember the man that inspired the beginning of "truth" restored; which I am sure most JWs believe he did.   What an example he set for all JWs!  And he is now apparently in heaven guiding the governing body on the "way of holiness" - putting his seal of approval on the direction the organization takes, as David Splane recently explained when exonerated the publication, "The Harp of God".  

As the video link focuses on, he left quite a heritage!
