  2. A Fox Sports reporter turned to Twitter Friday morning to share an “alarming” experience she had with Uber. Kristine Leahy, who also hosts “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC, wrote about how she lost her keys in an Uber driver’s vehicle three months ago. She said that the ride share company told her the keys were returned to headquarters. “Eventually they confirmed they had my keys and asked for my address so they could send them,” Leahy wrote in a note posted to Twitter. But Leahy said the keys were never sent. “So either they were lying about having them in the first place of they are lying now and have keys to my apartment and car along with my address,” she wrote. Image source: Fox Sports Leahy noted that she had already “had an Uber driver try to break into my home in the past … so this is very scary.” After sharing her note, Leahy said she was contacted by Uber support. However, the Fox Sports reporter said in a Twitter update that she was “STILL WAITING” for the promised email. A spokesperson for Uber did not respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze Friday evening. — Follow the author of this story on Twitter and Facebook: Follow @oliverdarcy Read more stories from TheBlaze See What’s Happened to Target’s Stock in the Past Month Amid Transgender Bathroom Uproar Clinton Calls Trump’s Pro-Gun Policies ‘Not Just Way Out There,’ but ‘Dangerous’ ‘Really, Hershey?’ Visitors Have Mixed Reactions After Hershey Park Announces It Will Allow Guests to Use Bathrooms According to Gender Identity Trump Campaign Retracts Claim That It Raised $6 Million for Veterans George Zimmerman Accepts $250K Bid for Gun Used to Kill Trayvon Martin: Reports Source

  5. Rep. Trey Gowdy (S.C.) endorsed Donald Trump Friday. Gowdy, who previously endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), made the announcement on MSNBC. “My guy lost. When the jury speaks, I’m going to support the jury,” he said. Photo credit should read SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty Images Spokeswoman Amanda Gonzalez released a statement shortly after his MSNBC appearance. “As Congressman Gowdy stated months ago, he will support the Republican nominee for president,” she said. “He strongly supported Senator Marco Rubio until Rubio suspended his campaign. Now that Mr. Trump is the Republican nominee, Congressman Gowdy will support him.” Trump had previously been at odds with Gowdy, particularly his handling of the House Benghazi committee. In December he had tweeted that it was a “total disaster for Republicans & America.” Following the endorsement, however, Trump warmed up to the South Carolina congressman and thanked him on Twitter.

  7. It’s the video everyone is talking about. A Facebook live-stream showing a Texas woman try on a Chewbacca mask in a Kohls parking lot took the Internet by storm Friday, amassing more than 69 million views and 1.8 million shares. In fact, according to Tech Insider, the video of 37-year-old Candace Payne showing off the “Star Wars” toy became the most-watched Facebook live-stream ever. Kohls told Forbes that the mask showcased by Payne quickly sold out online after the video went viral. “That’s just crazy,” Payne told the BBC. “I’m just laughing — in all honesty, that is ridiculous. I’ve looked at the number of views and it just seems like someone is just playing with a calculator.” Before Payne smashed the record, the most viewed Facebook Live video was of two BuzzFeed employees exploding a watermelon with rubber bands.

  10. Billionaire Mark Cuban said in an interview to be broadcasted Sunday that he would “absolutely” be open to talking with likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton about running as her vice president. “If she really did come to you, would you listen?” asked “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd. “Absolutely,” Cuban replied. “But the key would be — she would have to go more to the center. I like the fact that Senator Clinton has thought out proposals. That’s a good thing because at least we get to see exactly where she stands.” The Dallas Mavericks owner said he thinks Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) has “dragged” Clinton “a little to far to the left,” but told Todd if she would be willing to moderate, he’d consider running on the ticket. “If she’s willing to listen, if she’s willing to hear other sides of things, then I’m wide open to discussing it,” Cuban said. The billionaire said Monday that if the election were held at that moment, he would have cast his vote for Clinton. “I know what Hillary’s positions are. I can go to Hillary’s websites and there is spreadsheets, there is depth, there is analysis, there is details,” Cuban said at the time. “I can go to Donald’s website, which I have — he lists issues, he lists top line things he’d like to do, but he doesn’t say how he’s going to get there.” Cuban has been extremely critical of Trump as of late. He said he was “really excited” when the real estate mogul first jumped into the race, but has since been disappointed by the Republican’s “approach” to campaigning and lack of “concrete” policy proposals.

  12. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin on Friday vetoed legislation to make it a felony for doctors to perform an abortion, a measure that would have effectively outlawed the procedure in the state. In vetoing the measure just a day after the Legislature passed it, Fallin, a Republican who opposes abortion, said it was vague and would not withstand a legal challenge. Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R-Okla.), speaks to the media. (Photo by Mark Wilson/Getty Images) “The bill is so ambiguous and so vague that doctors cannot be certain what medical circumstances would be considered ‘necessary to preserve the life of the mother,’” Fallin said. “While I consistently have and continue to support a re-examination of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, this legislation cannot accomplish that re-examination.” “The bill is so ambiguous and so vague…” Share: The bill’s sponsor, Republican Sen. Nathan Dahm, said the measure was aimed at ultimately overturning the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Dahm said he was considering whether to try to override the governor’s veto, which would require a two-thirds majority in each chamber, a threshold it did not meet in the House when it first passed. The bill passed on a 33-12 vote in the Senate with no debate on Thursday; it passed 59-9 in the 101-member House on April 21. “Of course I’ll consider it,” Dahm said. “I’m weighing my options.” The bill would have made it a felony punishable by up to three years in prison for anyone who performs an abortion, including doctors. State law already makes it a felony for anyone who’s not a doctor to perform an abortion, and Dahm’s bill would have removed the exemption for physicians. The bill, which abortion-rights group Center for Reproductive Rights said was the first of its kind in the nation, also would restrict any physician who performs an abortion from obtaining or renewing a license to practice medicine in Oklahoma. Dahm had said Thursday after the bill’s passage that he hoped it could lead to overturning Roe v. Wade. “Since I believe life begins at conception, it should be protected, and I believe it’s a core function of state government to defend that life from the beginning of conception,” said Dahm, from Broken Arrow. But abortion-rights supporters — and the state’s medical association — said the bill was unconstitutional. Sen. Ervin Yen, an Oklahoma City Republican and the only physician in the Senate, described the measure as “insane” and voted against it. — Read more stories from TheBlaze See What’s Happened to Target’s Stock in the Past Month Amid Transgender Bathroom Uproar Clinton Calls Trump’s Pro-Gun Policies ‘Not Just Way Out There,’ but ‘Dangerous’ ‘Really, Hershey?’ Visitors Have Mixed Reactions After Hershey Park Announces It Will Allow Guests to Use Bathrooms According to Gender Identity Trump Campaign Retracts Claim That It Raised $6 Million for Veterans George Zimmerman Accepts $250K Bid for Gun Used to Kill Trayvon Martin: Reports Source
