  2. Why Do We Call Our Galaxy the Milky Way? BY DEANNA KERLEY There are two questions that have haunted wannabe astronomers for decades: “Why is our galaxy called the Milky Way?” and “Does it have anything to do with the delicious candy bar?” Long ago, the Romans named the galaxy “via lactea,” which translates to “road of milk.” The Romans named it via lactea precisely because it looks like a milky patch of sky above the Earth at night. But, the Romans werenÂ’t the first to name the galaxy. The Romans got the name from the Greeks, who called it galaxias kyklos, which translates into “milky circle.” According to the Greek myth, Zeus brought his son Heracles home for Hera to breastfeed while she was sleeping. Hera did not like Heracles, mainly because the child was half-mortal and was the result of one of ZeusÂ’ affairs. When Hera awoke, she quickly pushed Heracles away, which caused a few drops of milk to spill into the night sky. Scientifically, the bright patch of light is the result of looking at a concentrated band of billions of different stars in our galaxy. When we look up at the night sky, we are viewing the galaxy on its side. This view creates the glowing arc of light that we know as the Milky Way galaxy. Other cultures have different names for the Milky Way. In Germany, the galaxy is called “Milchstrasse” and Norwegians call the galaxy “Melkeveien.” Frank Mars invented the Milky Way candy bar after three years of research in 1923. It was the first filled candy bar. The flavor of the filling was inspired by the chocolate-malt milkshake that was popular at the time. When Frank Mars named the candy bar, he named it the Milky Way because of its milkshake-like filling.  http://mentalfloss.com/article/53589/why-do-we-call-our-galaxy-milky-way Â
  3. #OurCreatorJehovahGod? Who Made This? Our Creator of Course! ????? SPOTTED: Astronomers discovered a special kind of neutron star for the first time outside of the Milky Way galaxy! ?? Neutron stars like this one spotted by our @nasachandraxray telescope are formed when a massive star runs out of fuel and collapses. The very central region of the star – the core – collapses, crushing together every proton and electron into a neutron. If the core of the collapsing star is between about 1 and 3 solar masses, these newly-created neutrons can stop the collapse, leaving behind a neutron star.Since neutron stars began their existence as stars, they are found scattered throughout the galaxy in the same places where we find stars. And like stars, they can be found by themselves or in binary systems with a companion. Our data suggests that this neutron star is a rare variety that has both a low magnetic field and no stellar companion. Future observations at X-ray, optical, and radio wavelengths will help astronomers learn more about how this neutron star ended up in its current position outside our galaxy. Credit: NASA/European Southern Observatory
  4. Jehovah’s Witnesses have translated Bible-based material from English into over 900 languages. Translation of a written text into another written language is challenging enough. But sign-language translation involves additional work. Many deaf people communicate ideas visually by using their hands and facial expressions, so sign-language translators translate from text to video. In this way, the Witnesses have translated publications into more than 90 sign languages. Â
  5. Last hour Strasbourg court request a order for Russia to return ownership of Jehovah's Witnesses May 29, 2018 The judgments of the European court of human rights on the liquidation of the Jehovah's witness management centre and their communities in the regions are predictable: The Strasbourg Court will support the believers. This view was expressed by a member of the human rights council under the president of the Russian Federation, Attorney Vladimir Ryakhovsky. According to Vladimir Ryakhovsky, Russian Federation, once again the same rake comes, making hasty decisions with regard to the real ban on a religious movement. Witnesses division and the administrative centre were wt April 20, 2017, on the basis of extremist activity one - namely the promotion of their exclusivity and superiority. This accusation can be presented to any religious organization. In this regard, the sign of discrimination on religious grounds is clearly visible. In the Soviet era, Vladimir Ryakhovskiy said, Jehovah's witnesses were persecuted, exiled and sent to the camps in 1991, have been rehabilitated, the faithful have received certificates of victims of political repression. Since then, nothing has changed: the doctrine and organization of Jehovah's witnesses have not changed because of their conservatism. It is likely that the European Court, according to Vladimir Ryakhovsky, ordered the Russian Federation to pay fines and return confiscated property to the local organizations of Jehovah's witnesses. And its property, converted to the state after its liquidation, is estimated to be over a billion rubles. Russia, as a rule, regularly pays fines for decisions of the European court of human rights, but does not make any systemic conclusions. However, for example, Russia does not comply with the decision in the case, which may also be the case with Jehovah's witnesses. The campaign against Jehovah's witnesses, as noted by the director of the centre for the study of religion and the institute of the European studies society, Russian Academy of sciences, Roman Lunkin, a consequence of the application of the believers of the Policies and regulations of the public sphere as a whole. The Broad definition of extremism has long drawn criticism from human rights groups, and the review of the doctrine and activities of religious organizations has become a field of discretion as steel made in favour of the centres of Office of the prosecutor to combat extremism. Therefore, the policy to guarantee the security of citizens has become quite the opposite. Believers of many religions are angry and hostile or suspicious of the authorities, a significant part of religious communities, especially protestants, Muslims remained without record. The groups became the most vivid victims of this policy and went into hiding. The paradox is that persecution, as shown by historical experience, can help to take this strong, albeit small, religious movement in Russian society. The same is true for many other denominations being persecuted in Russia under the law of yarovoi, Roman lunkin said. Let us recall that on 7 May 2018 the European court of human rights reported 15 January 2018, 2.018 complaint and another 394 religious organization of Jehovah's witnesses in Russia on the 20th. April 2017, the supreme court of the Russian Federation, the decision to ban the management of the centre of Jehovah's witnesses in Russia and the local communities of Jehovah's witnesses as extremists. In December 2017, the echr partially communicated and promised to consider as an administrative centre the priority of Jehovah's witnesses in Russia and its president vasily kalin, challenging the warning on the inadmissibility of extremist activity, issued the administrative centre of the Office of the attorney-General of March 2016. http://www.sclj.ru/news/detail.php?SECTION_ID=487&ELEMENT_ID=7849&clear_cache=Y Â
  6. ‘Evil in Our Century’ An interview with the noted British author Anthony Burgess about his best-selling book Earthly Powers appeared in the French newsmagazine L’Express. “The book deals with the manifestations of evil, its emergence in our century, and our inability to fight it,” explained Burgess. “Politicians encourage it, artists look the other way, and even great churchmen like the Pope condone it. That is the image of our world since World War I.” The author observed that evil since that time is different: “No historian has ever interpreted [terrible periods in history] as eruptions of evil”—merely “blunders” in attempting “to build a better world.” Now, though, says Burgess, “we begin to believe in a supernatural force with which man made a compact for destruction, or which he allowed to take control of him.” https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1982244#h=9:0-11:370

  9. Extinction of Critical Species? - God Will Protect Our Earth and every living Creature on it! ~ ??? Will the earth and the human race be destroyed? “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Psalm 37:29. Over the past five years, beekeepers in the United States have lost about 30 percent of their bees each year on account of colony collapse disorder, a global phenomenon in which entire colonies of bees abruptly and mysteriously disappear from their hives. Bees do more than provide us with honey. They pollinate key crops, including grapes, apples, soybeans, and cotton. We depend on bees. We also depend on phytoplankton. Without it we would have no fish. Without worms to aerate the soil, we would have far fewer crops. The extinction of such key species would result in food shortage and starvation, leading to violence and riots. Pollution, overpopulation, overharvesting, habitat destruction, and climate change contribute to the extinction of animal species perhaps as much as 1,000 times more than natural rates. “Every year, between 18,000 and 55,000 species become extinct. The cause: human activities.”—United Nations Development Program. Read More at: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102012323?q=bees&p=par

  13. How Can We Walk With God? We find the answer at Isaiah 30:20, 21: “Your Grand Instructor will no longer hide himself, and your eyes must become eyes seeing your Grand Instructor. And your own ears will hear a word behind you saying: ‘This is the way. Walk in it, you people,’ in case you people should go to the right or in case you should go to the left.”  In this encouraging passage, Jehovah’s words recorded in Isa 30 verse 20 may have reminded his people that when they rebelled against him, he was, in effect, hidden from them. (Isaiah 1:15; 59:2)  Here, though, Jehovah is represented, not as hiding, but as standing openly before his faithful people. We might think of an instructor standing before his students, demonstrating what he wants them to learn.   In Isa 30 verse 21, a different word picture is painted. Jehovah is depicted as walking behind his people, issuing directions on the right way to walk.  Bible scholars have noted that this expression might be based on the way a shepherd sometimes follows his sheep, calling out to guide them and to keep them from going the wrong way.  How does this word picture apply to us?  Well, when we turn to God’s Word for guidance, we are reading words that were recorded thousands of years ago. They are coming from behind us, as it were, in the stream of time. Yet, they are just as relevant today as they were the day they were written. Bible counsel can guide us in our day-to-day decisions, and it can help us to map out the course of our life over the years to come. (Psalm 119:105)  When we earnestly seek out such counsel and apply it, then Jehovah is our Guide.  We are walking with God.  What blessings come to those who walk with God?  Continue Reading...https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2005806?q=isa+30%3A21&p=par
  14. Why attend meetings? Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ• (Hebrews 10:23,24) Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ•Õ• Meetings. One of the ways in which penguins survive to the hard winter of the antarctic is to huddle each other, to generate heat collectively, to them this is a matter of life or death. They gather in colonies and become so strong, moving individually is impossible. So collective movements become a great need. Penguins would die of cold if they were not moving collectively moving towards the center. Which illustrates that similarly christians have multiple spiritual benefits of reuniting us every week with our brothers. By responding in this way to our spiritual need, and not forgetting our meeting, we fulfill God's will and avoid our spiritual death. Let's see just some of the many reasons we meet: • Educate us. • They encourage us. • in them, the holy spirit influences us. • Give us the opportunity to show our   brothers how much we want them. • Strengthen the unity of the congregation. • We can give our beloved God Jehovah, the worship he deserves. • We show the Lord that we want to approach him and his son. • and we show that we support the sovereignty of God. Do you know any other benefits?, you can comment!... (writing: Abel Romero Novella).
  15. "They will persecute you also.Ô—John 15:20. Many Christians, past and present, who have faced and overcome persecution report that at the height of their trials, they experienced inner peace, one aspect of the fruitage of God’s holy spirit. (Galatians 5:22) On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith." That peace, in turn, helped to guard their hearts and mental powers. Yes, Jehovah uses his active force to empower his servants to cope with trials and to act wisely when adversity strikes. Onlookers have been amazed by the determination of GodÂ’s people to maintain their integrity even in the face of vicious persecution. The Witnesses seemed imbued with superhuman strength, and indeed they were. The apostle Peter assures us: “If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy, because the spirit of glory, even the spirit of God, is resting upon you.” (1 Pet. 4:14) That we are persecuted for upholding righteous standards indicates that we have divine approval. (Matthew 5:10-12) “Happy are those who have been persecuted for righteousnessÂ’ sake, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. 11 “Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. 12 Rejoice and leap for joy, since YOUR reward is great in the heavens; for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to YOU." w11 1/15 5:6, 7 ???? 20. Who do you want on your side in time of war? Men, Nations, Nuclear Bombs, Or Jehovah of Armies? I think you can figure that out? Man will not comply with God's Forces but will lose the Battle with Him ~ His Son will Fight for Him and Bring to nothing all government, power and rulership. ~ The Bible has foretold this read on: (Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; (Daniel 7:13, 14) 13 “I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin." JEHOVAH OF ARMIES This expression, found 283 times, with variations, in the Scriptures, translates the Hebrew Yeho·wah? tseva·’ohth?. The prophetic books, particularly Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah, contain by far the majority of its occurrences. Paul and James, quoting from or alluding to the prophecies, used the expression (transliterated into Greek) in their writings (Psalm 103:20, 21) 20 Bless Jehovah, O YOU angels of his, mighty in power, carrying out his word, By listening to the voice of his word. 21 Bless Jehovah, all YOU armies of his, You ministers of his, doing his will. (Psalm 148:1, 2) . . .Praise Jah, YOU people! Praise Jehovah from the heavens, Praise him in the heights.  2 Praise him, all YOU his angels. Praise him, all YOU his army. (Isaiah 1:24) . . .Therefore the utterance of the [true] Lord, Jehovah of armies, the Powerful One of Israel, is: “Aha! I shall relieve myself of my adversaries, and I will avenge myself on my enemies(Jeremiah 32:17, 18) . . .Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah! Here you yourself have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. The whole matter is not too wonderful for you yourself, 18 the One exercising loving-kindness toward thousands, and repaying the error of the fathers into the bosom of their sons after them, the [true] God, the great One, the mighty One, Jehovah of armies being his name, . . .The expression “Jehovah of armies” thus conveys the sense of power, the power held by the Sovereign Ruler of the universe, who has at his command vast forces of spirit creatures. It thus commands deep respect and awe, while at the same time being a source of comfort and encouragement to Jehovah’s servants. David, alone and unaided by any earthly military force, challenged the formidable Philistine Goliath in “the name of Jehovah of armies, the God of the battle lines of Israel.” (1Sa 17:45) Not only in times of literal battle but also in all other trialsome situations or occasions of importance God’s people as a whole and as individuals could take courage and hope from recognizing the majesty of Jehovah’s sovereign position, reflected in his control over the mighty forces serving from his heavenly courts. The use of the expression “Jehovah of armies” by the prophets supplied yet one more reason for those hearing the prophecies to be certain of their fulfillment. (1 Samuel 17:45) . . .In turn David said to the Phi·lis?tine: “You are coming to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I am coming to you with the name of Jehovah of armies, the God of the battle lines of Israel, whom you have taunted.
