Hi Anke :0) A Sister and I made it to our meeting as well. It was beautiful! The Talk, the Watchtower,  the Friends, everything was just wonderful!  I became ill after we got back from the Hall but that's okay, we made it thanks to Jehovah!!  It is always good to hear from you and if I don't respond right away just know that I got your messages and that I am enjoying reading them and thinking about the Kingdom and...............................you :0) Have a good day and here's a big hug all the way from the United States.  :0)

The  *blue super blood full moon*  is approaching !

At the beginning of January we were already able to admire a super full moon. But the highlight of the month is yet to come:
On the 31st, there is another super full moon, which is also a blood moon & a blue moon.
The year 2018 began with a super-full moon: on the night of January 2, the Earth's moon shone brighter and bigger than usual. But that was far from everything for this month. On the 31st of January, the moon will be waiting for almost every feature it has to offer. There is a blue super blood full moon darkness coming up.
The night star then comes very close to the earth and therefore appears up to 14 percent larger from the ground. So it's a super moon again.
Full moon bathed in dark red light....
At the same time, the earth pushes between the sun and the moon. The long-wave sunlight that streams past the earth bathes the moon in a dark red light. The phenomenon is called Blood Full Moon.
And because it's the second full moon in a month, it's also called the blue moon.
People can watch the spectacle directly, especially in North America, Australia, New Zealand and eastern Russia. In Europe it is bright daylight when the big moon spectacle takes place. Here, people have to be satisfied with media coverage.
But that too could be worthwhile. Because all three events come together in one moment is extremely rare. According to NASA, the last time was more than 150 years ago.

Kenneth Cook was announced today at morning worship as the new member of the Governing Body. 

He was formerly a helper on the writing committee.
He is an anointed brother in bethel that about 3 years ago got assigned to Writing Correspondence from Bethel Office in Wallkill.
He is not a rule oriented brother at all. Definitely a people person, a pleasurable brother. Makes people around him feel relaxed an at ease.
Brother Cook started pioneering on September 1, 1982, and began serving at the United States branch on October 12, 1984.
He has been in Bethel his entire life evidently. No children. 
The Governing Body is now composed of eight anointed brothers.

On Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018, it was announced to the United States and Canada Bethel families that Kenneth Cook had been appointed to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Prior to being appointed to the Governing Body, Brother Cook was a helper to the Writing Committee.
Brother Cook started pioneering on September 1, 1982, and began serving at the United States branch on October 12, 1984. The Governing Body is now composed of eight anointed brothers.
It is our united prayer that Jehovah continue to bless the Governing Body as it oversees the activities of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide.—1 Thessalonians 5:12, 13

The  whole  family  of  an  US. Sister  here,  is  sickened  with  flu...  The  7 weeks  old  Baby  they  brought  to  the  hospital   Thats  really  very  hard !  I  had  NO  flu  or  cold  since  more  than  20 years...   When  I  come  home,  always  wash  my  hands  quickly.  Also  beware  huge  of  crowds !   Often  I  take  a  tiny  bottle  of  isopropyl  with  me  -  seems,  its  all  good  working   I'm  very  grateful

In the decades leading up to World War I, Charles Taze Russell and his associates realized that the organizations of Christendom were not teaching Bible truth. Accordingly, they resolved to have nothing to do with false religion as they understood it. As early as November of 1879, Zion’s Watch Tower straightforwardly set out their Scriptural position by stating: “Every church claiming to be a chaste virgin espoused to Christ, but in reality united to and supported by the world (beast) we must condemn as being in scripture language a harlot church,” a reference to Babylon the Great. (Rev. 17:1, 2) God-fearing men and women knew what they must do. They could not expect to receive God’s blessing if they continued to support false religious organizations. about  Satan's  offer!
But  Jesus  obeyed  his  father  Jehovah, so  we  have  to  be  grateful  forever

Satan showed Jesus all the Kingdoms of the world,  he said to Jesus...
"All these things I will give you, if you fall down and do an act of worship to me"....  see Matthew 4:9.
Notice, that Satan only asked Jesus to do a single act of worship to him......
he did not ask for Jesus to serve him continually....
Only,  ONE SINGLE ACT!  NOW HOLD THAT THOUGHT!
What is our outcome if we do  "one single act of Satan's lies"?
What about celebrating the Christmas lie?
What about the Easter bunny lie?
What about learning war...   and going to war against our fellow humans,
killing them in the name of patriotism?
Any thinking person should be able to reason on this matter !
