Perpetua Marcolino reacted to Queen Esther in Prince's death puts unprecedented spotlight on Jehovah's Witnesses❤
Prince's death puts spotlight on Jehovah's Witnesses ❤
Prince's death has put an unprecedeted spotlight on his JW -
in suburban Minneapolis, as well as the  Jehovah's  Witness  faith nationally.
'We lost a spiritual brother' in Prince'....

For more than a decade, Prince spent many Sunday mornings inside a simple Jehovah’s Witnesses hall in a Minneapolis suburb, listening to Bible readings, sharing his insights in group discussions, and singing such hymns as “God’s Promise of Paradise” and “Be Forgiving.”
“His beliefs were very, very strong,” said Larry Graham, a close friend who introduced Prince to the faith.
While the superstar was comfortable door-knocking in Minnesota to spread the Bible’s message — a requirement for all Witnesses — he also tried to spread Jehovah’s teachings to musicians and others in his circle, Graham said. “It’s a side of him most people don’t know,” he said.
As Prince fans across the globe await an explanation of his unexpected death on April 21, worshipers at this St. Louis Park church remember a modest guy who would slip into the fellowship hall on Sundays with zero fanfare.
Ironically, in death, he has put an unprecedented spotlight on his church.
Warner Bros. plans vinyl reissues of Prince's 1985-1992 albums
7 charities to give to in honor of Prince's memory
“We’re seeing a tremendous surge in interest,” said Jim Lundstrom, a church elder in St. Louis Park. “I’ve gotten calls from Paris, London, Africa … and all points in between. Now our name is coming to the fore.”
Like the others in this church, Prince didn’t fear death, because he believed in a future earthly paradise. But, Graham said, the superstar was not planning to make his worldly exit yet. Graham said he knew nothing of opioid painkillers, now the focus of Prince’s death investigation.
Graham also denied claims that Prince couldn’t have hip surgery because his faith prohibited blood transfusions.
While Jehovah’s Witnesses can’t get blood transfusions, medical technology offers alternatives, Graham said.
In fact, Lundstrom belongs to a national network of hospital liaisons who help church members at the Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota and elsewhere receive optimal care without transfusions.
“We recognize that life is a gift from God,” said Graham, a bass player for the 1960s funk band Sly and the Family Stone. “Any medical treatment that will make us well again, we seek that.”
    Prince’s Sunday home
About 70 people sat with Bible study pamphlets on their laps at Prince’s Jehovah’s Witnesses hall last Sunday. It’s a simple room, with no crucifixes or religious symbols — just comfortable chairs and plenty of Bibles and Watchtower publications available at the door.
“He’d usually sit over there,” said one member, gesturing to the rows center and back.
The nearly two-hour service opened with a hymn, and then a guest speaker preached about the Bible being an “owner’s manual for our lives.” That was followed by an hourlong, engaging discussion about loyalty to God, during which worshipers answered questions such as: “How can you be loyal to both Jehovah and your friend or relative?”
The service ended with a simple prayer and a song, and folks meandered out the door.
Prince’s path to this church began at an after-concert party in Nashville about 20 years ago, Graham said. Prince and Graham, both performing in town that night, found themselves talking about life’s big questions.
Prince later asked Graham, a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1975, if he would consider moving to Minneapolis to continue teaching him the Bible. Graham, at the time living in Montego Bay, Jamaica, said yes. He has been Prince’s spiritual mentor and close friend ever since.
“We started studying the Bible on a regular basis,” recalled Graham. “And the more he learned, the more questions he had, like: ‘Why are we here? Where is everything heading? What’s the future for mankind, for the Earth?’ ”
Prince also learned that Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas and Easter, for example, because those holidays have roots in pagan traditions. They do not serve in the military. They view Jesus as the son of God, but not God, and they don’t believe in a trinity. They pray to God, called Jehovah, who will return to rule a paradise on Earth.
Prince, known as “Brother Nelson,” joined Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2003.
The church was a beneficiary of Prince’s philanthropy, but it’s difficult to say how much he gave. Collection plates are not passed. Giving is done privately, often in cash and often at a church table with two slots marked “Local Congregation Expenses” and “Worldwide Work.”
No will for Prince has surfaced, and Graham said he was unaware if Jehovah’s Witnesses would benefit from a $100-million-plus estate now being claimed by Prince’s family members.
Near the giving table is a large map of St. Louis Park, with every street on a grid that is used for door-to-door ministry.
“We have the whole world [mapped],” said George Cook, a church elder eyeing the map. “We’re very organized.”
There are about 8 million Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide, he said, and about 15,000 are Minnesotans.
    Ministry, Prince style
It wasn’t uncommon for Prince and Graham — or Prince and other church members — to grab their Bibles and head out to neighborhoods. Sometimes people recognized their famous visitor, sometimes not. He enjoyed it, Graham said. And having a celebrity like Prince as a visible supporter made others more interested in checking out the religion, he said.
But Prince’s ministry extended beyond the city map.
“If there was some visitor at Paisley Park, they could sit down and have a conversation,” said Graham. “It could be after a show. Or you could just be out and about, and run into people, and just start talking about the Bible. Many, many kinds of settings.
“He would never try to force his beliefs on anyone. But he was always willing to share the things he learned in the Bible.”
One thing Prince learned was to be “a positive person,” Graham said. He ate and drank in moderation. He stopped cursing. And he stopped writing the raunchy lyrics that characterized some of his early work.
Prince also was at Graham’s side at various Jehovah’s Witnesses conferences, digging deeper into an unusual faith he credited with turning his life around.
“[The Bible] helps you with every aspect of your life,” Prince said in a 2004 interview. “Once you can clean out the cobwebs, so to speak, you can see everything more clearly.”
    A type of protection
When asked why a free-spirited musician would choose a structured faith, Graham said that’s not how he — or Prince — saw it.
“It’s not really restrictive. It’s more like a protection from things that could possibly harm us,” Graham said. “So it’s a positive thing … and making you a better person.”
Prince was particularly drawn to biblical messages of a hopeful future, he said. One of his favorite passages was Revelations 21:3-4, which states that God ultimately will dwell with his people and that “death will be no more.”
“The resurrection and the hope for the future — and many more [passages] — we discussed many weeks and many months and years,” Graham said.
“A lot of people will remember Prince for his music,” he added. “But he’d also want people to know what he learned from the Bible. We lost a really good friend and a spiritual brother.”

Perpetua Marcolino reacted to Bible Speaks in SHOCK !! Former Jehovah's Witness reveals (!!!) ...
@ARchiv@L I found this article enjoy!
“Jehovah Knows Those Who Belong to Him”
“If anyone loves God, this one is known by him.”—1 COR. 8:3.
Paul was sure that Jehovah could recognize hypocritical worship, and he was likewise convinced that Jehovah could identify those who are obedient to Him. Paul manifested his strong conviction by the wording he chose when writing under inspiration to Timothy.
After referring to the spiritual harm that apostates were already inflicting upon some within the congregation, Paul wrote: “Despite that, the solid foundation of God remains standing, having this seal, ‘Jehovah knows those whobelong to him,’ and, ‘Let everyone calling on the name of Jehovah renounce unrighteousness.’”—2 Tim. 2:18, 19.
Paul’s word picture recorded at 2 Timothy 2:19 depicts a foundation with a message on it, as if imprinted with a seal. In ancient times, it was not uncommon to display an inscription on a building’s foundation, perhaps showing whobuilt it or who owned it. Paul was the first Bible writer to use this particular illustration.* The seal on “the solid foundation of God” has two pronouncements. First, “Jehovah knows those who belong to him” and second, “Let everyone calling on the name of Jehovahrenounce unrighteousness.” This reminds us of what we read at Numbers 16:5.—Read.
    It is also sobering to know that Jehovah does not tolerate hypocritical worship. As his eyes “are roving about through all the earth,” he can detect those whose heart is not “complete toward him.” “Jehovah detests a devious person,” says Proverbs 3:32, such as one who deliberately puts up a front, feigning obedience while practicing sin in secret. Although a devious person may skillfully deceive other humans for a while, Jehovah’s almightiness and righteousness guarantee that “the one covering over his transgressions will not succeed.”—Prov. 28:13;
In due time, Jehovah will expose all who practice badness or who lead a double life, making a clear “distinction between a righteous person and a wicked person, between one serving God and one not serving him.” (Mal. 3:18)
In the meantime, it is reassuring to know that “the eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous, and his ears listen to their supplication.”—1 Pet. 3:12.

I doubt anybody is even going to read the letters, but the fact that the Russian postal service is suddenly going to be inundated with millions of letters to Moscow will speak volumes. There IS strength in numbers, and Moscow will know who these letters are from and why they are being sent, and that's the important part. The whole world is going to notice.
I don't think I could stomach showing concern for Russia's leaders. We don't have to "brown nose" to put our point across. We would surely be hypocritical if we did that...

Perpetua Marcolino reacted to Bible Speaks in A New World ? Soon, Not Just A Dream!
Two close friends are walking side by side in a beautiful valley, with tears in their eyes. Struggling to find the right words to describe this moment, they continue walking in silence and in awe. The sun is shining down on them like never before and the mountains are teeming with gorgeous waterfalls and trees. They go up on a rolling hill and flashbacks begin to run through their heads: Their trials, their endurance - Their life in the old system. Stunned by the scene surrounding them, they come to a halt when they reach the top and they witness so many animals roaming together, free at last. A little girl is walking down the road with a cute little monkey on her shoulder and the roar of a silverback gorilla from a nearby forest greets their ears, astonishing them. The smells of nature reaches their nose and not too far away from them, their friends and loved ones are gathering in a park, in the most beautiful nature scenery they have ever seen in their lives. They remain silent but you can hear them sniffling, with tears racing down their cheeks. Finally they embrace in a tearful hug and with so much emotion they exclaim the words they had been yearning to say for so long: "Remember when we used to talk about this! We made it home." To everyone who reads this: Don't give up, I hope we run into each other in paradise someday. I hope we laugh and cry and say that we finally made it after enduring for so long. I hope we have the most amazing bonfires and we share our own stories of what we went through in this system. I hope we hang out in a tree house by the ocean and we watch the dolphins and whales leap out of the water under the twinkling stars. I hope we meet Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Esther and we have the most thrilling, conversations with them! I hope we witness the long awaited resurrection and we cry so many happy tears until we run out of tears. And I hope.. We build a lasting bond, serving the true God for millions of years and all of eternity. Until then, let's continue to endure - And if we do - I hope to see you on the other side. We are almost home!

Perpetua Marcolino reacted to Bible Speaks in Ketef Hinnom silver amulets (mini scrolls)
In 1979 two silver mini scrolls (actually amulets in antiquity) were discovered at Ketef Hinnom, an archaeological site that now has been incorporated into the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. Dating to around 2,600 years ago they are written in paleo-Hebrew and contain the oldest biblical passage that survives to present day, part of a priestly blessing found in Numbers 6:24-26. The amulets say that Yahweh is stronger than evil and a "rebuker of evil." Researchers think the amulets would have offered protection to those who wore them.

    Dead Sea Scrolls

A young shepherd named Muhammed Edh-Dhib first discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1946 or 1947 near the site of Qumran in what is now the West Bank.
Over the next decade, scientists and Bedouin would discover more than 900 manuscripts located in 11 caves.
They include canonical works from the Hebrew Bible, including Genesis, Exodus, Isaiah, Kings and Deuteronomy. They also include calendars, hymns, psalms, apocryphal (non-canonical) biblical works and community rules. One scroll is made of copper and describes the location of buried treasure.
The texts date from between roughly 200 B.C. up until about A.D. 70 when the Romans put down a revolt in Jerusalem and Qumran was abandoned. The authorship of the scrolls is a source of debate. A popular theory among scholars is that a monastic sect called the Essenes lived at Qumran, and they wrote and collected the texts.

    Khirbet Qeiyafa

Khirbet Qeiyafa flourished almost 3,000 years ago and is located about 19 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of Jerusalem. A casemate city wall with two gates surrounds the 6-acre (2.3 hectares) settlement, and some researchers claim it is the biblical city of Sha'arayim. The site may also have played an important role during Israel's "United Monarchy" period and, in July 2013, researchers announced they had identified a structure more than 10,000 square feet (1,000 square meters) in size as a palace that may have been used by King David himself.

Archaeologists say they've uncovered two royal buildings from Israel's biblical past, including a palace suspected to have belonged to King David.
The findings at Khirbet Qeiyafa — a fortified hilltop city about 19 miles (30 kilometers) southwest of Jerusalem — indicate that David, who defeated Goliath in the Bible, ruled a kingdom with a great political organization, the excavators say.
"This is unequivocal evidence of a kingdom's existence, which knew to establish administrative centers at strategic points," read a statement from archaeologists Yossi Garfinkel of the Hebrew University and Saar Ganor of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA).
The IAA announced the finds as a seven-year long excavation at the site is wrapping up. The government agency and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority have halted the planned construction of a nearby neighborhood, hoping to make the site a national park. [In Photos: Archaeology Around the World]
Garfinkel has previously said Khirbet Qeiyafa could be the site of Shaaraim, a biblical city associated with King David in the Bible. Shaaraim means "two gates" and two gates have been found in the fortress ruins. Others researchers, meanwhile, have claimed this site might be Neta'im, another town mentioned in the book 1 Chronicles in the Old Testatment.
Prior radiocarbon analysis on burnt olive pits at the site indicated that it existed between 1020 B.C. and 980 B.C., before being violently destroyed, likely in a battle against the Philistines. Much of the palace was further wrecked 1,400 years later when a Byzantine farmhouse was built on the site.
The archaeologists found a 100-foot-long (30-meter-long) wall that would have enclosed the palace, and inside the complex they discovered fragments of ceramic and alabaster vessels, some of them imported from Egypt. The researchers say the building was strategically located to overlook the city and the Valley of Elah.
"From here one has an excellent vantage looking out into the distance, from as far as the Mediterranean Sea in the west, to the Hebron Mountains and Jerusalem in the east," the archaeologists said. "This is an ideal location from which to send messages by means of fire signals."
The excavators also found a pillared building measuring about 50 feet by 20 feet (15 m by 6 m) that was likely used as an administrative storeroom.
"It was in this building the kingdom stored taxes it received in the form of agricultural produce collected from the residents of the different villages in the Judean Shephelah," or Judean foothills, the archaeologists said. "Hundreds of large store jars were found at the site whose handles were stamped with an official seal as was customary in the Kingdom of Judahfor centuries."

    BETTER  A  THEOCRATIC  LITERATUR !
    HIDDEN FACE OF HALLOWEEN......
Since this holiday is about it is good to remember why not celebrate true Christians and what is its origin.
Does Halloween is celebrated in your country? It is true that this party is known especially in the United States and Canada, where it is celebrated on October 31. However, the customs of Halloween can be found in similar festivals in other parts of the world. They may have another name, but basically deal with the same subject: the world of spirits, the dead, fairies, witches, even the devil and demons.
    WHERE HE CAME FROM?
The origin of some customs and symbols of Halloween
Vampires, Werewolves WITCHES AND ZOMBIES: These creatures have always been associated with evil spirits.
SWEETS: The ancient Celts sought to appease evil spirits with sweets. Later, the Church encouraged people to go from house to house on the eve of All Saints and asking for food in return for a prayer for the dead. Hence the habit of asking for candy on Halloween.
COSTUMES: The ancient Celts used hideous masks so that evil spirits believed that they were also spirits and left alone. Gradually, the Church mixed pagan customs with the celebration of the Dead and Day of All Saints. Later, people started going from house to house dressed as saints, angels and demons.
PUMPKINS: Formerly turnips were hollowed and placed a candle to frighten evil spirits. There were those who believed that the candle represented a soul trapped in purgatory. Over time, turnips were replaced by pumpkins.
Halloween party is a celebration unbiblical. The Bible itself warns us: "No one among you who practices divination, witchcraft or sorcery; or casts spells, or spiritualist medium who consults the dead "(Deuteronomy 18:10, 11, Leviticus 19:31; Galatians 5: 19-21).

The birth of the Kingdom in heaven
    Paragraphs 19 and 20
    They gathered to worship God
19, 20. How were encouraged God's people to gather to worship him?
19 The Bible Students taught that, whenever possible, should meet to worship God. Not enough to leave false religion: the true Christian should practice pure worship. Already in the first issues of the Watch Tower magazine readers he was encouraged to come together to worship God. We find an example in the July, 1880, where Brother Russell recounted one of his tours of speeches and highlighted the cheerleaders were the many meetings had been held. Then he invited readers to write to him occasionally a few lines to tell how they were doing with the meetings. Some of these comments appear in the magazine. He suggested: "We all want to know [...] how the Lord is blessing. Tell if meet regularly with people who share their valuable faith. "
20 The same magazine published an article in 1882 that encouraged Christians to meet the goal of "edify, encourage and strengthen each other". The article stressed: "There is no need to have someone with higher education or a special talent. Everyone take your Bible, pen and paper. Use all aid available to them, as a concordance [...]. Pick a topic and ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit to understand. Then read, reflect and seek the relationship between biblical texts. This way you will be guided to the truth. "
