Colin Brown's photos are in a .docx file .... which is a later version of Microsoft Word.

I only create documents with a copy of Microsoft Word that I bought in 1997 ... "Word 2000".

However, if you can download and install the FREE software "Open Office", it is compatible with all the new Microsoft Software.

After installing, you can click on his ".docx" file, and it will open as if you had the latest versions of Microsoft Office Suite Software.

    The pictures are GORGEOUS!

A few decades ago I also used Open Office, so it's safe. Tested  (Norton Safe site)

This upload can now be seen by all:

I'll download Open Office, then later post the same picture for the benefit of others who cannot view it.

As much as some women also love dogs, I believe there is a "special relationship" between men and dogs.

My first wife died in 1982, and I do not remember what she looked like .... but I remember my dog, Jedediah Dog (Jed), in great detail, even though he died several years before.

No wonder dogs are called man's best friend. The only animal having observable emotions. A Japanese dog stopped eating when it's master died, and laid on it's owner's grave until it too died. Vicious dogs are trained that way. One of my dogs, Sammy, a Jack Russel, was  so small I carried him in my jacket pocket for weeks. About a year later, he began howling when he recognised my motor cycle approaching. He went with me everywhere when out in the motor car. Seems dogs weren't fully domesticated during Bible years, they gradually began loving mankind as time went by. Eccl. 9:4

He is looking sad :(  but of sure he was a Sweetie :x  and funny too :)  I hope, in the NW the animals living a bit longer !  JTR. is hoping, his loving dog's may come back home, but I can't believe it. The resurrection shall be only for humans, right ?

I fully agree in the hope that animals will live longer, but Jehovah knows better. The longer we live with animals, the more we will mourn when they die. (Rev. 21:3,4)  I too would love to have my first dog back, but what about he others. The photo of my dog Sputty is unusual, It was a black and white photo coloured with oil paints.

Dogs in our household live a very long time .... My dog Tony was 14 when he died, and Ivory was 18 ... we have one with diabetes that is 16, etc.  Watching them enjoy their lives is and has been a great joy.

I often think that is why Jehovah puts up with humans.

Our first dog was named Sputty, a fox terrier, because he was born at the time the Russians sent Laika to die in an orbit. He was put down in 1975 also at the age of 18 after he stopped eating. I cried while thanking Jehovah for lending him to us.

I will tell you another story.

Eight years ago when my wife became weaker, I began renovating our house at the age of 80. One day I climbed a 4 meter ladder while holding a section of hardboard, to pass to the painter on the roof. As I climbed down my foot slipped and I fell to the ground unconscious. I was taken to hospital where I came to four hours later.

My brain was scanned and Xrayed in many layers, and I was released three weeks later, and had to learn to walk again. A month in a wheel chair, a month using an aluminum walker, and weeks walking and falling. I still sway as if I'm drunk.

Worse, the short term memory of my brain has been permanently damaged. When someone tells me their name, it's forgotten a few seconds later. Very embarrassing.

But Jehovah was very kind by preserving my long term memory. I still remember everything in detail since I was about five years old. You have probably noticed this by the contributions made here. My Bible knowledge remains excellent.

I  remember  a  similar,  but  little  bigger  ark  in  a  Bethel,  just  cleaning  by  GB. Brother  S. Herd  and  a  Sister.  A  very  nice  picture,  bec. smiling  by  working :)   I  will  look  for it !   THANKS  FOR  YOUR  PICTURE.

Many decades ago there was a movie called "Bring them back alive" Frank Buck was the hunter who trapped scores of animals and dragged them home in cages of wood.

Some may have imagined that this was the way Noah and his sons did it - not so. It would have taken centuries for Noah to do it in the same way as Frank Buck.

One of our publications mentioned that the animals came to Noah. (Gen. 7:9)

    Die Arche nach der Bibel.jpg

The  ark  -  after  the  Bible....   ( for  all  JW...)  :x

The dimensions of the ark are given in the Bible. The slave fixes an elbow like 44.5 cm, which is confirmed by archaeological finds. The size of the ark according to Genesis 6:15 was 300 cubits (long) x 50 (wide) x 30 (high). That's about 133 x 22 x 13 meters. According to biblical history, the ark had three floors. Each apartment had an area of 2,926 m². This leads us to a total area of 8,778 m² (2,926 x 3)

In comparison, a football pitch in the Bundesliga in Germany has an area of 7,140 m². If we add the area behind the gate (about 3 meters) and next to the side lines (about 1.5 meters). ), this results in 7,881 m². It's not exactly the area of the ark that's even bigger, but to get a rough idea of the size, the comparison should be sufficient.

Below is a picture captured from JW.ORG some time ago depicting what Noah's ark would likely have looked like.

  10. Here's proof from 'A scientist', who could also be a JW.

How can anyone believe that fossils are millions of years old? There's a point during the decay of anything from bottles to bones where the break down is faster.

Jehovah said that Adam would return to dust - not a fossil.

  11. Down our way it's called 'The tree of knowledge'. Beginners only get into fits of laughter. If they are with others, everything they see makes them laugh. Even little things such as a bird sitting or an animal walking. When they are over that stage, and used to the drug they settle down to deep thought even to the point of inventing things, and they wonder why the world never thought of what they just discovered.

When out of that trance, say by the next morning, they still clearly remember that they received this new light, but cannot remember exactly what it was. This was explained to me many years ago by a person who eventually gave it up. It doesn't appear to be a drug that's habit forming, and mostly recreational.

It would be interesting if any brother or sister heard of similar experiences they can tell us about so that we can learn more about user experience.

  12. Hi Sister, please excuse me joining this conversation. I don't know how to contact you personally. The video below is from our local newspaper in East London. It has nice views of the Buffalo river harbour. I uploaded a picture to you a while ago.
