  1. The 1975 debacle was meant for former witnesses and those that hold the Watchtower responsible for their conspiracy theories. What did happen with the aid of some overenthusiastic Canadians that probably drank the same kind of tea back then, the Watchtower had to mention a clarification since not everyone got the correct understanding about the 6000 years ending in 1975 that it ended up having to explain it in 1976 once again but with simpler words in order to quail this mass hysteria nonsense, and disappointment for those that didn’t understand the signs. ?

That doesn’t stop people from having to speculate every time a person that attends a kingdom hall goes crazy. Somewhere in societies mind, all witnesses are perfect, and therefore can’t be affected by lunacy. A condition that got a person to jump of the Watchtower building, instead of the more fable, the Watchtower drove him to it. There are plenty of bethel eyewitnesses that saw someone push that poor soul off the ledge, according to some Bethel family. ?

  2. It’s not about winning or losing. That’s bureaucracy at its best. It has become, which group they can appeal to and satisfy in order to be elected or kept in a high position. This is happening throughout the world, now.

God is not the matrix, its humanity, and with that are circumstance that is plaguing all religions throughout the world, decade’s long unreported child abuse, through modern laws. Too bad, a crystal ball wasn’t used back then to see the future of governments and civil litigations.

Meanwhile, governments don’t want to intervene in a domestic judicial matter, while wanting to intervene in judicial matters through the lower courts. Shot of whiskey? ?

  3. How ironic. It was Canadian witnesses that instigated the end of the world speculation in 1975. The only thing different, there was no “bath salt” to get high on, or is it their drinking water. I wonder if a none-witness slipped them a mickey to set them off.

Now, are these people really witnesses? CBC stated, “Others have said the accused and alleged victims know each other as neighbours and members of the same Jehovah's Witness church.”

Not everyone that attends a Kingdom Hall is automatically a “baptized” JW.

The lesson in all of this, never buy herbs in a different country and don’t forget to wear underwear in case of an accident. ?

  4. Yeah, when they see the Politie coming, they take out the barrel throw the documents in it and set them on fire. They advise the GB mission accomplished, it’s your turn to lock the secret vault hidden under Warwick 30 feet below, under 10 feet of reinforced concrete, with Vatican armed guards, where Hitler is living his last days. Any Bethel member will swear to it, just to get on television. They see that secrecy every day. Probably the Watchtower knows where Jimmy Hoffa was buried, and who the second gunman was in JFK. Those Netherlands crack me up. But then again, the most haters of the Watchtower come from the E.U. ?

  5. If people are going to blame racism, then blame humanity and the early Church fathers for making Jesus white in their own image. Jesus while having 14 generations of lineage, was not as dark as some modern people like to imagine him. While it can be conceivable that Jesus skin tone matched the traits of the surrounding Jews, (olive brown) he was still considered a little lighter than that since Nazarene’s were just that. Racism even for clarification doesn’t belong in a Christian world. Discussing church behavior makes it even less Christian. Matthew 1:1-17 gives everyone a clue as to the diverse lineage of Jesus.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depiction_of_Jesus#Early_Christianity

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_appearance_of_Jesus

The other factor that is misconstrued, Certain Africans believe Jesus was black because of the misunderstanding of Jesus travels into Africa, not being born there.

    https://www.premierchristianity.com/Blog/Jesus-is-black.-Get-over-it

This is why racism never factored into the Watchtower until it became a point of contention for society. This is when the Watchtower decided to show the diversity of Jesus lineage, by having a universal look into humanity. The thing to remember is not Jesus skin tone, but what he represents and what his sacrifice accomplished. Racism is the devil's work, not Christ. This is what should be in a Christian mind, always. ?

Then both exegesis would be correct since both alive and resurrected would experience the same thing after Armageddon.

The posted question suggest that God is vengeful and unjust. If atheism is at play, there is no biblical solution, other than to suggest how well has humanity dealt with itself.

Both sides were screaming their viewpoints.

If I accuse you of something vile and despicable, adopting your viewpoint, may I then grab you by the neck and strangle you until you are dead?

Was there a judicial conclusion if you saw both sides make their argument? Even if you are not a vampire would I become you into my house, much less give you permission to kill me as you suggest.

This view goes beyond Christian life. So, I will not interact with silliness.

Not to mention the silly claims such as all the churches of JWs harbor weapons and rifles under their churches and have bunkers at their headquarters. These same disgruntled people also do not know what trust funds are and actually believe the JWs own a portion of Victoria's Secret and Nintendo, when even a former JW who is aware of what trust funds are, explain everything and yet even with this information, it goes in one ear and out the other, mind you this guy was pretty much telling disgruntled JWs this information and they did everything in their power to shut him up.

Whatever happened to the first defense for child abuse is their own parents. It seems parents just like the government decided to push that responsibility to the church. It’s silly to think that any religion would know the personal family life of individuals, just because they are Christian. I wonder who decided Christianity is like programming a robot.

I’d like to see the crystal ball that gives religion that ability. The day science can come up with the ability to read someone else mind, then it will be the fault of the reader for not saying something. Until then, we have to accept there will be some frivolous claims.

Are their victims, there are. But when victims contribute to their own circumstance, what then? Who becomes the victim when lawyers only see money? And prosecutors only see an easy win. And their not interested in the truth as it was with the Supreme Court confirmation hearing. Republicans were never really interested in the truth, just the notch on trumps belt. ?

Now that judge is going to decide on cases that he himself was accused of, that’s man’s judicial system at its best.

It’s funny how Trump supporters screamed innocent until proven guilty, without a judicial conclusion, yet the same mentality suggests guilty until proven innocent for the Watchtower. I do love a circus. ?

However if those 'blood bits' come from blood itself then isn't that actually using blood ?

My wife hates cherries in cakes, so she picks them out, but she still eats the cake. If a person uses bits out of blood then in my opinion they are still using blood.

    Over to you guys.

Does this mean you don’t eat meat? Have you ever gone to a restaurant and ordered a juicy steak? I read this somewhere in the past in this forum. Does animal blood completely get drained by the butcher? Should all witnesses then become vegetarians even though God told Adam he could eat meat?

    https://www.news.com.au/national/revolutionary-blood-hboc-201-saves-tamara-coakley/news-story/94e7b09e2b540c87f30fbf08d929bff1

As I recall here. It took about 6 drops of cow blood to make this synthetic blood.

  10. I’m being a sport. Aside from the ones already offered, I don’t see things the way you do. When someone adds to scripture to benefit their understanding while not seeing the logic that makes up what is cannibalism, those thoughts are your own.

But you are right. The there is no reference to the word cannibal. So, enlarge the fonts all you want, it still won’t make it right in the eyes of God as a standard, since you wish to reject what is blood, hurting one another, killing, and dead flesh is stood for in scripture. Unless you consider afterbirth placenta to be live flesh.

Then, be a sport James and recite a Bible text that supports cannibalism.

  11. Yep! Your right. Scripture doesn’t say anything about Cannibalism. I'm sure glad everyone tells the truth here.

    1.       2 Kings 6:24-33 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

                  The Siege of Samaria—Cannibalism

2 Kings 6:24-33 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

                 Besieged Samaria Resorts to Cannibalism

    2.       Ezekiel 5 New International Version (NIV)

                  God’s Razor of Judgment

    3.       Leviticus 26:27-30

    4.       Lamentations 2:16-21

    5.       Jeremiah 19:7-10

    6.       Deuteronomy 28:52-57

Murder is wrong. can it be extrapolated to be part of cannibalism if you kill to eat, unless you snort bath salt Just like that guy in Florida, attacked another person to start eating him alive?

    https://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/face-eating-cannibal-attack-latest-bath-salts-incident/story?id=16470389

    1.       Exodus 20:13

    2.       Leviticus 24:17

    3.       Matthew 5:21

Now, people can get technical by suggesting they are referring to dead flesh. But can it be that scripture also refers to dead flesh? Deuteronomy 28:57

So, what kind of cannibalism is not referenced in the canonized bible? I wonder if drinking human blood is considered cannibalism.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-cannibalism

I wonder what jiminy cricket would say. But wait, none of this has to do with cannibalism, never mind. ?

  12. Lol! What I have seen from a yearlong observation of posts and not interacting until now in this forum, this forum had many religions for discussion. But, many people choose only to criticize Jehovah’s Witnesses. So, I don’t see where this JW club is when those criticizing are allowed to keep their offensive posts while others get removed. So, don’t sweat it Bulter you are among you’re friends and one of the preferred. ?

This has been my experience here time and time again. So, there is no JW club here, just favorite posters and friends as Bulter suggest. But, I do enjoy the humor and when the truth is stretched. ?

It’s always good to have friends in high places. This is why nothing is concealed to god.?

  13. I won’t post copyright material since the Watchtower hasn’t given me permission to post them unto a discussion forum. However, I will direct those interested to JW.org. But how can anyone that understands scripture possibly think that anyone would come to life after the 1000 year has ended? This makes no sense.

If people are to experience all that God promises and Jesus offered, all this would have to be completed before the 1000 years. Scripture doesn’t support anything else.

Other religions do make claims that go beyond scripture. They go to extremes to add to it, which is offensive to God. So, of course, witnesses should find themselves comparing scriptural interpretation. The best direction is to compare scripture as the first century Christians did through Christ. This is what the Watchtower set out to do and its purpose.

  14. 29 minutes ago, JOHN BUTLER said:

THAT is political. True Christians should not be involved in politics. As Jesus said "they are no part of the world just as I am no part of the world"

obviously your not from the US. In the US, the evangelicals elected Trump and put the newly elected Supreme Court judge on the bench. This is modern Christianity at its worst. You are correct, Christ made it a point to separate church and state. None of which the majority of Christendom is not doing across the world.

  15. It seems her father the Elder didn’t see the warning signs if this victim was receiving gifts from an older man, and her father miraculously didn’t see what was going on. Parents are responsible for their children. This victim must really be dissent with her father, especially if she didn’t have the sex talk that the majority of parents have with their teenage children.

Since we are getting secondhand information from the news. How she alleged the congregation mishandled her case is inconsequential since civil laws only require a reasonable belief in civil cases versus a burden of proof in a criminal case. The Preponderance of evidence is very different.

Who dropped the ball in this case?

This is the gray area those that have a problem with the Watchtower don’t seem to want to see or acknowledge.

  16. 1 hour ago, JOHN BUTLER said:

You seem to be coming at this from a political angle. Being English I have no idea of American politics, in fact I've no idea of politics at all as I'm no part of this world.

Do you know anything about the rules the Governing Body had given to the Elders of congregations  concerning Child Abuse ?

Do you know that those rules have been slightly changed in 2017 and probably again since ?

The Governing Body have at least twenty years worth of Child Abuse accusation documents concerning America alone.

Do you know anything about the Australian Royal Commision, The Charity Commision here in the UK, the court cases in Canada, the organisation in the Netherlands for victims of child abuse in the JW org ?

Anything having to deal with this world has become political. Even Christianity has become political. If you’re not part of this world, then why do you politicize this argument that by insisting on every thread.

I understand, what has been going on with the Watchtower, just like the Vatican and many more other sects within Christianity. I just don’t believe in singling out one group because of hatred.

So, please don’t start taking a tone with me, Bulter. If you don’t like my opinion. State your own then press on. I will not be bullied by you.

  17. This will move to the appellate court then the Supreme Court, where in case anyone hasn’t noticed, is now occupied by moderate conservatives that adhere to the constitution rather than try to interpret the constitution.

There is no doubt that many of these cases in the eyes of liberals, merit a distinct punishment. Even within religious ranks, there are those that blame the heads rather than see reality for what it is. No one can predict what another human will do, and it is silly to think so.

When it comes to certain religions, as you can see, most news media attach extra meaning to make that religion look worse, even though the Catholic Church has been proven to hide pedophiles within their ranks, and have internal centers to subject those individuals to reform. I don’t know if the Watchtower harbors such a center. I have never heard of one.

This has been a conflict for scholars to debate. What sets the Watchtower apart from other religions? The most meaningful discussions come from the partisan understanding that witnesses are not converted to a sinless state for having become one.

The only reason the Watchtower should apologize if they read someone’s mind and didn’t report it to the authorities. However, they would still need to prove this supernatural phenomenon. ?
