I have empathy / sympathy for those who were sexually abused as children, and for those still being abused.. And I believe it hasn't stopped happening in the JW Org. In my opinion the GB and their lawyers are just being more sly in how they handle it.  It seems too that Elders are still using the Clergy Penitent Privilege to hide Pedophiles in the congregations. Perhaps many of those pedophiles are actually Elders themselves.  So much has become known now that it is clear to see how immoral and dishonest the GB and their organisations are.
Will it be a time of cleansing ? Or, will it be a time of destruction ?  Who knows ?  One thing is for sure, the  W/t & JW Org is not being run by True Anointed ones right now.

Agree. Simple proclamation of doctrinal interpretations and group or individual understanding of Bible text is not act of intolerance.  On the other hand, the religious animosity that develops in the feelings of members of one church towards another, on a global level, is certainly a display of intolerance. And that is the reality in all religions not just in the JW church. So the question that is still relevant is: What do the leaders of every church do to reduce and curb religious intolerance, especially while publicly announcing the suppression of every religious option other than their own?

To which group of tolerance does ignoring former members belong? To not say even simple hello on the street is strong proof and evidence how majority in JW organization are not only intolerant but show lack of everyday polite. Of course, there is JW members who don't obey every GB instruction in this matter or in some other. And that is nice to see. I "like" it, even i disagree with and don't "like" their religious belonging/affiliation.

Even if your conclusions were correct, saying, that some organisation(s) will get destroyed in the future is not an act of intolerance. As a reminder what intolerance looks like:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGNTMNTKmsY
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G-QEfdMH3Y
That is intolerance. And JW don't go there. Not even near. In fact they are as far removed from intolerance as possible.
I think you have your own definition of "tolerance" that differs quite a lot from the dictionary. What does "tolerance" mean in your dictionary?

Dmitar reacted to Patiently waiting for Truth in Trial scheduled for Jehovah's Witnesses elders accused of failing to report sexual abuse
    https://www.dailyherald.com/news/20210527/trial-scheduled-for-jehovahs-witnesses-elders-accused-of-failing-to-report-sexual-abuse
Two Jehovah's Witnesses elders accused of failing to notify police that a congregant was sexually abusing a child are scheduled for a joint trial in July.
Jehovah's Witnesses elder Michael Penkava, 72, of Crystal Lake, and Colin Scott, 87, of Cary, were charged in November with violating reporting provisions. Both men are accused of failing to notify police about a church member who later was convicted of sexually abusing a child.
The abuse continued for more than a decade after the church elders became aware of the accusations, prosecutors have said.
A judge on Wednesday denied a request to exclude testimony regarding potentially "confidential" meetings between church leaders and the now-convicted man.
The charges against Scott and Penkava are rooted in another man's sexual assault conviction. Accusations against that man, 43-year-old church member Arturo Hernandez-Pedraza, surfaced during a confessional or spiritual guidance setting, according to Prossnitz and attorney Terry Ekl, who represents Scott.
In 2019, a jury convicted Hernandez-Pedraza of all counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, sexual relations within families and domestic battery charges filed against him.
He is serving a 45-year prison sentence at Pontiac Correctional Center.
Penkava invoked his right as a religious leader to not testify at Hernandez-Pedraza's trial, but he still was required to answer questions about actions the congregation took after learning of the sexual abuse more than 10 years before it was reported.
Because the accusations surfaced during a confessional, Penkava and Scott's attorneys now argue the disclosure should be considered privileged communication between faith leaders and congregants.
Assistant McHenry County State's Attorney Ashur Youash, however, said that privilege doesn't extend to situations involving abused or neglected children and isn't grounds for failure to report.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
They are still hiding behind the clergy privilege thing, so no lessons have been learnt. The GB and others in control, and the Elders are still more interested in the 'face of the Org' and in saving money, than they are in the congregation.
Does God and Jesus really approve of this ? No of course not.

Reminds me of the time I came to a door that had two no soliciting signs. I rang the doorbell and asked them if they'd like to buy another no soliciting sign. The guy laughed and took the magazines.

Ok .. let's do some math.
To have a valid premise, you will need to look up the actual sizes of things yourself.
1.) Write down the size of a Covid 19 Virus (diameter) _______________________ ,
2.) Write down the pore size of a N95 mask. ( much smaller than what we typically wear ) _____________.
    3.) Divide #2, by #1 _______________.

I think, if you visualize this, you will see that it's about as effective as trying to keep flies out of your yard ,,,,,, with a chain link fence.

Yes. His general goal is always to minimize any negative press about NRMs. He lists "Mostly Against [Their Own] Members" as one of those minimizing factors. This is why I said:
If in politics, for example, a dictator were to bomb or gas a part of their own population, the world would point out how terrible it was that "he gassed his own people." It would not be considered a factor that minimizes guilt.

Is this when Bro Brumley was photographed at a conference and opponents made a big fuss about it because Scientologists were there, too?

Well said. Although, the topic gets heated from the moment you send 8 million people to preach that all religions will be destroyed because they don’t believe the way they should believe in God, and that’s the JW way. At such a moment, the alleged tolerance of another’s religious belief becomes an empty phrase. On one side JW gave picture of how tolerant they as people are, but in same time preaching how they worship intolerant God who will destroy them/other people because of their religion.
Does a JW member "like" someone else's religion? If he liked it, he might become a member of such a religion. But the JW member only likes his religion, and towards others he does not have such a kind of tolerance nor does he have it in such quantity that he would “like it”. Please nicely, let us explain what this might mean at all if a JW member have feeling and attitude; "I like other religions and I am very tolerant of them, but God will destroy them one day and i am glad that He will do it"?
If it is so as you said what Massimo Introvigne stand for, then that is not JW way/model of "religious tolerance".
OT records speaking about God who have no tolerance for false way of worshiping Him. Neither to worship some other God in different/opposite religion. And JW members also using such Bible verses to enforce and empower own religious attitude about this issue. By that, it is questionable about what sort of "religious tolerance" is about, here and now, inside JW Church.

Let us take this sneering remark seriously for a moment.
In the greater scheme of things, what really was Voltaire? A brief point of relative light, but also a bridge connecting one train wreck to another.
The train wreck of religious intolerance he battled all his life, and to a significant degree, he won that battle.
But in a very short time, even during his lifetime, atheists usurped his work to provide underpinnings of their own rising movement—another train wreck. Voltaire was an initial hero of the French Revolution, but in short order, as inferior atheistic thinkers took over, he was downgraded as too moderate. Many of his own followers (Voltaire himself was dead by then) fell victim to the guillotine themselves when they resisted the fanatical excesses of those atheists.
Meanwhile, the light that he offered was but relative, in that he refused any revelatory look at God, and thus missed out on solving the problem of evil, since that is only solved through such searching. He may even have represented “one step forward, two steps back.” The step forward is to win against intolerance. The step back is to repudiate the means though which God gives explanation of himself AND to smoothe the way for atheism. Maybe even three steps back, for in declaring the issue of evil insoluble after grappling with it the best part of his life, he plants the notion in the educated people that adore him that it actually is.
So is he required reading for JW members? No. He is an elective. Read him if you will. It will be beneficial if you do. But by no means is he indispensable to having one’s head on straight. Make him the centerpiece of your education, and it all but guarantees you will not have your head on straight. The JW organization will never recommend that members read Voltaire. Nor will they ever disparage him, at least no more than I have done above. They would have members direct their primary focus on what does deliver with regard to life’s more important things.

From your own perspective, quoted above, you greatly esteem being a witness to the Watchtower, and consider those that are not to be witnesses of Satan.
I suspect those you accuse are just trying to "get by" .... hoping to someday achieve the goal of being Witnesses to Jehovah.
    ....there IS a difference.

... and you, Ceser,  are ALSO wrong about wolves not needing a veterinarian.
We have coyotes where I live and they are a miserable lot ... full of ticks, fleas, intestinal and heart worms and parasites, and dozens of others; infections of every sort, crippled, on the verge of starvation, their skin and fur with open sores, mange and other diseases. Even Rabies.
How does it feel to be wrong about EVERYTHING, because of malicious bitterness?

Well ... the Brothers in Russia were arrested and convicted and are now serving sentences for being terrorists/extremists, and the enemys of civilization ... none of which are true. Witnesses are the most sheeplike persons on Earth, although that is not an exclusive club.
Years ago we studied the differences between a reproach (accusation), and a reproof (conviction) .... but that must have been before your time, Seezer, as it is apparent you do not know the real life difference.
Even with the Brother's convictions in Russia, they are still in reality free from any reproach or accusation by virtuous men who know the difference.
You destroy any credibility you might have had with wild accusations at EVERYBODY, and calling virtuous Brothers with a viewpoint that does not agree with yours sons and daughters of Satan.
..... such is the stuff witch hunts are made of.

UM, haven't missed much have I.  I've not been here for days but having now read it all, well nothing new.
The one thing I did note is that @xero  is really hung up on people's mental state. @Arauna would call it OCD probably.  Oh yes, and that cesar person seems to think I am @Pudgy, sorry Pudgy.
I wish you all well. I am too busy selling and then buying vehicles and building sheds. The weather here in England is fabulous so making the most of it.
@JW Insider seems to make it known how mixed up the GB / leaders of the JW org are concerning the owning or reading of 'other religious literature'.
Best regards to @Srecko Sostar  and @TrueTomHarley and @Anna
Take care and be good y'all. I'll try to stay away for another few days.
