  1. I thought about this and forgot about a Watchtower publication back in 1962. I believe someone else mentioned it here long ago. I researched it and found it. *** w62 11/15 p. 693 par. 9 The Benefits of Subjection to Authorities *** 9 Worldly authorities render a judgment and punish persons, whether they are inside the congregation or outside, if they violate the laws of decency and good order. The violators have no right to complain at such punishment, as Paul showed by his words before Caesar’s judgment seat. (Acts 25:11) Hence the Christian congregation cannot protect any of its members if they steal, smuggle, commit bigamy, murder, libel, defraud, and so forth. The congregation must release such guilty members to punishment by worldly authorities. Since the guilty break the laws of the land and thus oppose the “authority,” they are taking a stand against God’s arrangement. *** w62 11/15 p. 693 par. 10 The Benefits of Subjection to Authorities *** 10 The Christian congregation has no orders from God and has no right to protect such opposers and lawbreakers from the due punishment by the “authority” of the land. We cannot hinder, oppose or condemn the execution of the krima or judgment by aiding or shielding lawbreakers. To do so would put the Christian congregation also in opposition to God’s arrangement. Besides letting the krima or “judgment” take its course upon offending members who bring reproach upon God’s people, the congregation may disfellowship such lawbreakers. The congregation does not want to deserve a krima or “judgment” with the lawbreakers by siding or cooperating with them and opposing the worldly “authority.” It also wants no reproach. The key phrase to look at is SO FORTH. Child Maltreatment, Child molestation, Child abuse has been mentioned by the Watchtower in various ways.
  2. Goodnight @AnnaNana Audrey! While you are sleeping, think education. But, I knew you wouldn't be able to come back with a good rebuttal! 😏
  3. Unbelievable, seriously, Become a Buddhist, maybe you'll do better. Leave Christianity for thinking people. Luke 21:24 English Standard Version 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. * “The times of the Gentiles” is the biblical designation for a period of time beginning with the Babylonian Captivity (606 BC) and ending with the physical return of Christ to the earth at the end of the Great Tribulation . https://israelmyglory.org/article/the-time-of-the-gentiles/#:~:text=* “The times of the Gentiles” is the, earth at the end of the Great Tribulation. Leave the Greek language to those that can actually interpret it, and not misapply its intent. This example is from a non-witness from back in 1992. Luke 21:24 Battles between Crusaders and Muslim Arabs continued until 1244, with dominion being established by the Egyptian Mamluks in 1250; formerly military slaves of the Ayyubids, they had overthrown their masters. Suleiman ( = Solomon) the Great displaced them in 1517, and his Ottoman Turks held sway in the Holy Land for 400 years until they were defeated by Britain's General Allenby in World War I. The British Mandate given by the League of Nations lasted until 1948, when, in the wake of the Nazi Holocaust, the world's conscience was momentarily pricked enough to permit the State of Israel to be established by a just-over-two-thirds vote of the United Nations General Assembly. By the U. N. plan of 1947 Jerusalem was to have been an internationalized city, but when five Arab countries attacked Israel within hours of her independence she fought back and conquered the western, more modern part of Jerusalem. Nevertheless the Old City of Jerusalem, the portion the present verse speaks about, which includes the Temple site, was occupied by Jordan until the Six-Day War. On June 8, 1967, the Israeli army entered the Old City and converged on the Western (“Wailing”) Wall, liberating Yerushalayim at last. Many regard that as the moment when Yeshua's prophecy was fulfilled—1,897 years of Gentile rule over Yerushalayim came to an end, and she is no longer “trampled down by the Goyim,” because “the age of the Goyim has run its course”; at last Yeshua's words have come true. Others date the fulfillment from Israel's 1980 proclamation that Jerusalem is a united city under Israeli sovereignty. Still others will not consider it fulfilled until Muslims no longer control the Temple Mount. Those who adhere to Replacement theology—also called Covenant theology, Dominion theology, Kingdom Now theology, Christian Reconstructionism, and (in England) Restorationism—hold that the Church is the “new” or “spiritual” Israel, having replaced the “old” Israel, the Jews, as God's people. According to this view the Jewish people no longer have promises from God, only curses; therefore they deny any significance after 70 C.E. to the “times of the Gentiles.” The falseness of this interpretation follows logically if Replacement theology itself is refuted—for which see references in Mt 5:5 N. In the Talmud a lengthy series of speculations on when the Messiah will come includes the following paragraph, which resembles Yeshua's prediction in the present verse: “Rabbi Chama bar-Chanina said, ‘The Son of David will not come until even the pettiest [hazola] kingdom stops having power over Israel, for it is written, “He will cut off the shoots [hazalzalim, a related word, understood here as a metaphor for “petty kingdoms”] with pruning hooks, and he will hew down and remove the branches.” And this is followed by, “In that time shall Adonai of heaven's armies be presented with the gift of a people scattered and peeled” (Isaiah 18:5, 7).’” (Sanhedrin 98 a) ESV Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. (Matt. 5:5 ESV) Audrey, you have NO BIBLE KNOWLEDGE. Try something else, if only for your own personal sanity.
  4. What does Christ's enthronement have to do with Christ taking possession of his kingdom? Granted, the U.N. is the last governance that is declaring peace and security since it was established. Is the U.N. a signal body, or is it comprised of many nations? If, and when the U.N. reacts, will it be under the U.N. Flag or under the Flags of many nations. Does the Gulf War come to mind? How about Ukraine? Were China and Russia part of that coalition? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalition_of_the_Gulf_War Did the U.N. Have anything to do with the Israeli wars of 1947 or 1967? U.N. Peacekeepers were there as observers for the Suez crisis until they left in 1967, when Britain and France helped Israel in 1956 in that crisis. Does that prove U.N. involvement, or members of the U.N. involvement? Now, who has VETO powers in the U.N. UN Intervention 1947–? The United Nations remained generally unable to influence the struggle between the superpowers due to Security Council veto power throughout the Cold War. However, it occasionally stood as a gauge for world opinion, and could mediate in stalled conflicts throughout the Third World. So, who are the 5 permanent members who established the United Nations and have VETO powers? Is the U.N. united with these permanent members? So, how would the 5 permanent members react and under whose influence and authority if the 5 permanent members are at odds with each other? So far, the U.N. has been used for peacekeeping and humanitarian purposes. How does this play as a backdrop for the book of apocalypse? What does that mean to those that think they understand that book? 2 communist members 3 democratic members with veto powers. China and Russia will never be swayed just like America and Britian will ever be swayed. That leaves France. What happened with France and Germany? Humanity is a difficult thing to discern, when tough choices need to be made. Therefore, don't speak as though anyone here knows anything about history and scripture.
  5. I'm not the one confusing the narrative; you are. What does the future king's reign have to do with the gentile times which you are blatantly ignoring? A part of scripture you are denying just to argue your false claim. Christ was slated to be King from the inception of being the Messiah. There was a process for that fulfillment. Since you are acting as a lawless one, I guess you are in the same boat as they are, according to you, and apostate. However, aside from Ray, I haven't seen more GB members going that route. So, I guess by your bluster and judgement, you are also setting yourself as a God. Once again, keep posting what you will; you have blasphemed against God's Holy Spirit many times. God hears all your words apostate.
  6. What part of the definition is giving you trouble, that your personal deeds are doing? Noun impudence - /ˈɪmpjədəns/ 1 The trait of being rude and impertinent inclined to take liberties 2 An impudent statement ThesaurusSynonym cheek cheekiness crust freshness gall impertinence insolence Hypernym discourtesy disrespect rudeness I would say, starting to think is a good way to go! Why hasn't the poster disproved it! Just more hot air from the uneducated. Aside from that, what part of Revelations is giving the poster trouble? Before, Armageddon, during, or after?
  7. Agreeable assessment. We'll see if those cases are linked. If they are, then attempted murder will be added to the gun charge, and if a person died, then murder will be added on the state level. If those people targeted a specific group, then federal charges can be sought, like solicitation to commit a crime, or better, a hate crime.
  8. Indeed, however, you don't see @Witness condemning Reddit or any other institution governed by ex-witnesses. In fact, hundreds if not thousands of cases of child abuse are committed by former members. But, you don't see hypocrites complaining and advocating against those cases. The same can be said about any other institution. A shameful human condition the Watchtower has warned against for decades. The Watchtower's child abuse policy begins by stating: "Child abuse is abhorrent to us. This is in harmony with the principle recorded at Romans 12:9. Even one abused child is one too many. For decades The Watchtower and Awake! have featured articles to educate both Witnesses and the public regarding the importance and the need to protect children from child abuse. Among others, there was the article "Let Us Abhor What Is Wicked!" published in the January 1, 1997, issue of The Watchtower ; "Help for the Victims of Incest" in the October 1, 1983, Watchtower, "Your Child Is in Danger!", "How Can We Protect Our Children?", and "Prevention in the Home", all in the October 8, 1993, Awake!, as well as "Child Molesting—Every Mother's Nightmare," in the January 22, 1985, Awake!" So, it doesn't matter how the Watchtower describes that condition, be it child molestation, child maltreatment, child abuse, etc. They have made society aware of it. We'll see what the US Supreme Court says about title 230, and how they can limit people's conduct over the internet. Once that's done, the US congress will have to revisit title 230 and restructure its language, to not give immunity to website owners and posters on any website.
  9. Then why do you consider yourself a member of the Watchtower? Such impudence! You're playing for the other team, team Satan, stick with @Witness. You do better as an apostate. However, instead of bluster and hot air, show how the devil tricked people about 1914? Is WW1 delusional, false, a trick of the devil? How about the Jewish liberation from Palestine in 1914? Is that fake news from Britian? Come on! Show me your truth. I don't cuddle apostasy as other people here do. That's why I don't enter the JW Closed Club with hypocrites and deceivers. On second thought, you're a shoe in on that forum, Audrey. 😏
  10. I will have to agree with the poster since the JW Closed Club has such people. However, here or in the other forum, I don't see bible educated people, much fewer historians.
  11. Then why even try to figure it out Audrey, if you don't understand any of it. Apparently, reading skills aren't your best suit. Once again, if that's the case, why isn't humanity in the 1000-year process? Others can understand simple logic with math. I know you can't answer simple questions, but at least give it a shot! 😏 11:1-14 "42 months" (11:2), which is the same as "1,260 days" (11:3), refers to the second half of the Tribulation, when the Antichrist will unleash his full fury against believers (see Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15; 2 Thess 2:4). This time period is also called "a time, times and half a time" (12:14; see 12:6; 13:5; Dan 7:25; 12:7). Jesus also predicted this "age of the Gentiles" (Luke 21:24; see 11:2).
  12. MONTH, MONTHS 1. men ( <START GREEK>mh/n <END GREEK>, NT:3376), connected with mene, "the moon," akin to a Sanskrit root ma—, "to measure" (the Sanskrit masa denotes both moon and month, cf, e.g., Lat. mensis, Eng., "moon" and "month," the moon being in early times the measure of the "month"). The interval between the 17 th day of the second "month" Gen 7:11 and the 17 th day of the seventh "month," is said to be 150 days 8:3,4, i.e., five months of 30 days each; hence the year would be 360 days (cf. Dan 7:25; 9:27; 12:7 with Rev 11:2-3; 12:6,14; 13:5; whence we conclude that 3 ½ years or 42 months 1260 days, i.e., one year 60 days); this was the length of the old Egyptian year; later, five days were added to correspond to the solar year. The Hebrew year was as nearly solar as was compatible with its commencement, coinciding with the new moon, or first day of the "month." This was a regular feast day, Num 10:10; 28:11-14; the Passover coincided with the full moon (the 14th of the month Abib: Editor's Preface: Year-Day Principle He regards the monarch as the mystical representative of the Assyrian empire, and Babylon, governed by him. "For my own part," says he, "considering the extraordinary nature of the judgment-the fact of its being so fully recorded by Daniel-the circumstance of Nebuchadnezzar being addressed on occasion of another prophecy as the representative of his nation (`thou art that head of gold'), and that of the symbolic tree, when cut down, being bound with a band of brass and iron, the metals significant of the Greek and Roman empires, which for ages held sway over the prostrate region of Babylon; all these considerations, united with that of the prediction that Assyria specifically is to recover in the latter day from its apostasy Isa 19:24-25, induce me to believe that Nebuchadnezzar's insanity and degradation typified that of his empire in its apostasy from God; and the seven times 360 days that passed over him in that state, the seven times 360, or 2520 years that would have to be completed, ere Assyria's recovery to a sound mind, at the termination of the times of the Gentiles." At the same time Mr. Elliott does not deny the application of the prediction to Nebuchadnezzar as an individual, and remarks, that it is not an uncommon circumstance "for an individual person to be made the subject of a prefigurative vision, and yet himself to prefigure in that very action or character something future." If, then, we admit the truth of this representation, and set aside Dan 10:2-3 as not a prediction at all, both the passages insisted on by Prof. Stuart are in this way removed from the list of exceptions.) The question for bible scholars has been, when did the time of the gentiles end? The problem with apostates, and witnesses not in good standing, is they can’t disprove any of it. The example above is just one way to examine facts.
  13. @AnnaNana Don't you get tired of being wrong every time you post, Audrey? The 42 months of Revelation, also described as 3 1/2 years, and 1260 days, is the duration of the Great Tribulation, the last half of Daniel’s 70th week. It begins when the anti-Christ stands in the Temple and declares that he’s God (2 Thes. 2:4 ). It’s an event known as the Abomination of Desolation. Now, who has a better understanding? True Christians, or false prophets?
  14. If this was true, which it is not, the poster wouldn't be going against God's word. Ultimately, the poster is challenging God and Christ with the lack of bible understanding. The poster keeps referring to 3 1/2 times. Try, learning the 42 months, and the mention of 1260. Educate, Educate! There are other numbers in scripture. Are all those false according to a false prophet?
  15. If this poster believes its own nonsense just like @Witness, why aren't we in the 1000-year reign process? Aside from being unwise, PROVE your impudence. But keep preaching, false prophet.
  16. I thought Bro. Brando was the only prophet here. I guess I was wrong. For someone that denies 1914, the poster sure prophecies, lol! 😂
  17. lol!! Stop it, stop it! 🤣🤣🤣 https://omniglot.com/conscripts/klingon.htm Klingon for dog.
  18. I understand many languages, even incoherent ones. However, when someone is writing in Klingon, they need to educate themselves first.
  19. According to whom? A D'fd person, lol! I see where your relative gets her sense of humor from. 🤣
  20. Yeah! You mean just like the excuse people here use, to insult God, Christ, The Watchtower, and its faithful members? You're right! That does prove their motives. It also PROVES you defend apostates and their heresy. 🙂
  21. Many times. I have them all the time here. I see the wicked for what they are! 😜
  22. The only thing @Pudgy needs to do aside from caring for his loved one is REPENT from his wicked ways while there's still time to show God. After, it will be a matter of judgment from God and Christ. Repent from leading God's sheep into the wrong path, by your deeds, here, elsewhere and in your personal life.
  23. Now @Pudgy is chosen by God in your eyes? Stop it! You're killing me with laughter! 🤣😅😁😜 That is like @Witness telling herself she is anointed! 🤣
  24. Thank you for proving how sick you are, lol!! Keep them coming! 🤣 Better yet, have your alter-ego defend you.
  25. Yes! People have known for a long time, you're no kind of good Shepherd, just a bad one.
