The Catholic Church along with the early church fathers did start a new ideology for Christendom. That's what led them to break away from Christ teachings, just like the Jewish schools. A hundred years ago, thinking and interested people wanting to really understand scripture, decided to reform that Christian view. Today's Christendom still focuses on the archaic foundation placed by the early church fathers. Very few within Christendom have adopted Christ's teaching of NOT focusing on him, but rather glorifying the father. John 8:54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify Myself, My glory means nothing.
