I do not know what would be better............out witnessing in that weather..........or when it is 400C+...........we have that to look forward to the next couple of months in Adelaide, South Australia - fortunately, NOT every day though.........every other day though..........just kidding?????

I doubt very much whether they would have been alone............the Brothers would never allow young ones out in the preaching work on their own, even if they were allowed to do a door on their own, there would have been a responsible adult very near to them..........even taking the photograph?

I have just been watching some streaming video from the NASA website.........it was about the International Space Station and they interviewed several astronauts. It was interesting to hear their views on the earth and the universe that they see from the ISS..........."they never sicken of the view even though they orbit the earth every 90 minutes"..........."they are enthralled by the never ending beauty of it," etc. Truly our God, Jehovah is a certainly a loving God in the way He prepared our home for human habitation, we can only imagine what it awaits in the "new earth"..........we know on thing for sure, that those bent on trying to destroy our "space ship,".......earth.......will no longer be on it (Rev. 11:18)

I also think that it is a poor choice for this topic.................however, that aside, it is always a joy to see how the young ones zealously "throw" themselves into the Kingdom Hall cleaning work.........I would imagine that this is the case in all our Congregations throughout the earth...........one can just "see" Jehovah and all his angels joyfully smiling at these willing and eager young workers.

As Librarian said, a true genius...........in more ways than one..........here we have a brilliant man in the scientific field, and yet humble enough to believe in God, whereas many scientists (who may also be brilliant in their chosen fields) believe in evolution and/or would rather "play god" than believe in a grand creator...........and his sentiments on the importance of love are very revealing. He will certainly be an interesting man to talk to during the millennium..........and "probably eternally???"

I think that it would be terrific to be able to have a stand in a cities' shopping centre.........they will not allow it in shopping malls in Adelaide, mores the pity.........we have a cart outside of railway station closest to the City Centre shopping Mall..........the only trouble with that is we are at the mercy of the elements.........but, I guess a plus is its just across the road from those well known "golden arches" and I personally like their coffee.

When using the Metric System the preferred units are metres or millimetres.........as far as rainfall is concerned it should be millimetres..........same goes for length measurements in in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. all measurements in millimetres. Centimetres is not a preferred dimension.

It is just a little different here in Adelaide..........a couple of days ago it was 40.70C...........a bit warmer than it looks here in Quebec. I do not think that I would have a smile on my face.........Brrrrrr!!!

Certainly, a real shout of praise to Jehovah, our loving God...........it is wonderful to see the happiness of our Brothers and Sisters in those countries, where they could not afford to build a meeting pace with their own resources (monetary), when they have a new Kingdom Hall............interesting, too, is the fact that in many of those countries Bible Studies and meeting attendance have increased..........as I said a great shout of praise to Jehovah.

What can one say? A truly remarkable Sister that has devoted almost her whole life to Jehovah. Certainly a faith strengthening example to keep in mind.

Our Congregation ordered extra No. 5 Awakes......"Did Jesus Really Exist?".........I had several extra copies, because I found it a terrific magazine to place, and I still have a few left............this magazine would be ideal to use with the above article. I may try it tomorrow and see how it goes.

Although we will have no need for a device like that in the new system, when we look at some of the inventions man has come up with in his imperfect state (for the good)..........just imagine what he will be able to do when perfect........it will, of course, be all thanks to Jehovah

Couldn't agree more............wonderful to see Brothers and Sisters very happy.......as you rightly said Queen Esther, we should all be happy, worshipping our happy God, Jehovah.

I wonder what lurks in the undergrowth in these jungles............but, I guess the Brothers and Sisters who witness in these areas put their trust in Jehovah........and of course use common sense and general safety practices, that would also apply, when covering territory such as this.

There have been a few photographs of the brothers in the preaching work on the amazon river..........no doubt the only way to get to many places along that mighty river.

'Way to go'..........certainly looks a very pleasant way to be involved in in the preaching work.

We can only but imagine the forces Jehovah will use at Armageddon, when we see pictures like these. We had a severe thunderstorm in Adelaide, South Australia (where I live). This is a photograph of lightning over the Gulf of St. Vincent.

This reminded me of recent storms (this week) in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This photograph was taken off Bondi Beach, a southern suburban beach.

Queen Esther, thank you so much for that video, very sad, but faith strengthening as well.......as Brother Nekata said he is just going to sleep for a short while and be resurrected.........we, the ones that are left, have to endure until the end........hopefully we can all do that and meet our Brother in Jehovah's New Order. A fine experience to show the transforming power of God's Word.

Seeing this photograph, being outside the White House (being a sort of symbol of democracy), reminded me of a headline in the Guardian News (digital):"The Soviet Union collapsed overnight. Don’t assume western democracy will last forever " Little do they know????

I used to use this........or, at least try to when I was teaching marine engineering, up until December last year, when I retired.........also a good idea to remember this in conducting Bible studies, particularly with those who have difficulty with language or learning problems.

The photograph below is of the vast flat Hay Plains in western New South Wales. I can remember one night whilst return from leave when I was in the Royal Australian Navy (in the late 50's), we ran out of petrol about 6 kilometres from the town of Hay. It was about 0400 and there was overcast conditions, pitch black and two of us decided to walk into Hay to get some petrol. We were not too long into our trek when we saw this strange light approach us from out in the scrub and when it got quite close, it suddenly shot off to the horizon and slowly started to make its way back. It did this about half a dozen times, to say the least we were not afraid.......we were terrified (we were only about 17). Anyhow about a kilometre later we came across a farm house and the farmer helped us out with our petrol problem. We told him of our experience with this "UFO"..........he told us that, what it was, was under certain atmospheric conditions lights from cars in the Blue Mountains (a couple of hundred miles away) are reflected/refracted causing this phenomenon, it was evidently fairly common - I dot not know whether this till occurs, it may not because of the increase in light pollution over the many years since this occurred (that is my guess). The Hay Plains- you can almost see the curvature of the earth it is so flat and for the most part treeless.

I liked the references to Sodom and Gomorrah in one of the talks at this years AGM, it was very clear and to the point. Brother Anthony Morris strongly made the point how Jehovah detests the sexual depravity displayed by many in the world today and the comparisons he made between Sodom and Gomorrah and today.

Point taken, thank you very much for that info. I actually purchased "The Two Babylons" from the Society many years ago (early seventies) along with "The Works of Josephus"..........now there is some nice heavy reading!!! Again thanks for that, it will be locked away firmly in my mind now.
