  1. This was a very good article and thank you for the clarifications. I'm far from being fresh meat for apostasy.
  2. I'm still not sure he's allowed by law to visit homes of minor children even if it is with others. I'm sure it can be startling to have someone all of a sudden with a camera in your face being loud, but he should have known that having that record in his past and being out in public someone was bound to confront him. So yes, being prepared with an answer ahead of time would have been adequate, instead of total denial. If everyone is in denial, nothing will change. There should be an ongoing restriction against anyone underage being left alone with individuals accused of sexual abuse. This would be added protection for everyone, while understanding everyone should be treated with love and respect.
  3. The sister and brother didn't seem as though they knew anything about it. They could be allowing their children or grandchildren to be alone with him. Yet, I'm sure some in the congregation know his background and afraid to speak up about their concerns. The first step in solving a problem is admitting you have a problem, so stronger measures are put in place. Maybe background checks should be standard for all the churches or organizations for any new members or door to door publishers. That should not be too difficult since everything is computerized now and flags will show for anyone that is arrested or convicted. Definitely, we want to do our best to protect those that can't protect themselves in this plague upon society and the whole world.
  4. Thanks, that is very interesting, the designs.
  5. They also do they same with people they claim are different denominiations just walking down the street. It doesn't matter if they are Catholic or JW's, Hindu, Buddhists, etc. on the street, and then post it on youtube. They ask them what is their religion, and tell the the truth is Islam and belief in Allah. When the people hear this they instantly become Muslims by repeating what they are told that they believe in Allah and Muhammad. For anyone to believe in something without any further investigation is totally blind faith. It's totally fake for an in awe moment for the viewers.
  6. They always have imposters from different religions planted in the television audience to post on youtube and around the world to mislead the masses that people have accepted Islam. Their punishment from God will be great for their satanic deceptive tactics in bearing false witness misusing God's name for their lie.
  7. Yes, it is allowable. However, the issue was whether he is allowed by law as a registered sex offender of minor(s) to put himself in the position where he comes in contact with a minor child, which is often the case if he's going door to door visiting homes. In most jurisdictions, sex offenders cannot live within so many feet of a school or playground, etc. In some cases, children of sex offenders are taken out of the home so they will not come in contact with the sex offender(s) even if it's the parent(s). There is no room for a sex offender to work themselves into a trusting home where a parent would feel comfortable leaving a child alone with them or letting them take the child out of the home for any length of time. As an example someone with an alcohol problem, cannot be around alcohol for it is too tempting and they can fall back into abusing it. We all have to remove ourselves from certain tempting situations or things that may stimulate us to commit sin.
  8. I'm not sure if they are suppose to wear an ankle monitor. I guess we now need to do background checks to make sure no one has committed felony of child abuse or sexual assault. We could be in violation of the child offense laws if knowingly allowing such ones to go door to door which put them in close vicinity of minor children. An unsuspecting parent might grow to trust someone and allow their child to be alone or take a trip with the offender and never suspect anything. Only Jehovah knows if a person is truly repentant. However, I don't trust them when they say I'm sorry and I'll never do it again. It best to take precautions and protect the children.
  9. Thanks to Jehovah, I'm glad they survived considering they kill many women each year there in honor killings alone.
  10. The organization also has channels on youtube . . . I think all the sessions Friday - Sunday are already posted by the brothers on youtube. If anyone can't get out, please let them know. I think some at the society are not yet tuning in all the congregations what's going on. Probably, in the future we might not go to the conventions every year but alternate and just watch a convention from the screen in our own congregation.
  11. Hi Esther, I'm sorry if my impression was wrong. *I thought the child was the child of a JW and praying to Jehovah to help him not follow along in doing wrong by showing allegiance to a nation or country. Excuse me if this was not the case. I truly meant no harm.
  12. Bless his heart to lean upon Jehovah at such a young age. Thank you for sharing.
  13. Looks like they're on a modern day crusade. What a waste of valuable material! Well . . . there's more to come . . . We won't let our spirits down.
  14. Hi Ann, Families should not have to be ripped apart but it's a fact of life. (Matthew 10:21-23) Further, brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and will have them put to death. And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. When they persecute YOU in one city, flee to another; for truly I say to YOU, YOU will by no means complete the The first man, Adam, was ripped from the close relationship he had with his Heavenly Father and thrown out of his paradise home; he along with his children. Jesus said "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And extending his hand toward his disciples, he said: “Look! My mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” (Matt 12:48-50) I believe Jesus was also speaking as regards his brothers and sisters of faith. Familial ties can be broken or ripped apart whether it applies to our birth family or inside the church or congregation. Examples would be Judas Iscariot or Satan the Devil, or those who were once sons of God. Being born into a family doesn't mean they will love us or even like us, so sometimes we have to make our own family or find a spiritual family that accepts and loves us. For the dissenting, they must choose between living a lie or remaining faithful to their own beliefs or principles. I perceive living a lie does not bring true happiness, neither does not standing by one's beliefs or principles. To the contrary, I know exactly what it feels like to agonize whether to leave or stay. Anyone can have differences of opinion even among the elders as we were told they don't always agree. It may be a matter of spiritual maturity. If someone hurts my feelings or calls me an brother* because I have a different opinion, I can't continue to hold a grudge or continue in sadness. These persons cannot give me life, but only Jehovah by means of Christ. For those that have pronounced issues of conflict or conscience, I can see their agony whether to leave or stay. They have been given the tools to help them make decisions and that is God's holy spirit in prayer to direct their path, which is minus those that have decided there is no God or not sure and decide to stay just to keep up close ties or relationships. I like the title: "Fading, Faking and Lying as an Unbelieving Jehovah's Witness". I remember Peter lying and cursing saying he didn't know Christ. Apparently he was forgiven, but he could not continue to 'trample upon the Son of God' or esteem as ordinary value the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified'. (Heb 10:26-31) I had some major problems when I first started reading and studying the Bible in its entirety. These problems plagued me for many years before I got baptized and for many years afterward. I was quite disturbed at God choosing prophets that had said and did such horrible things. It disturbed me and caused me great agony and I was shaken, yet I continued on though very weak in faith. The only thing that kept me from completely turning my back on God was his promises of what he wanted to do for us and the earth he created and the sacrifice of Jesus. Somehow, I thought I could not turn my back on someone that was willing to give up his life for me. What helped was reading the Bible over several times until I made the connection. Those persons were faithful in doing what God wanted them to do and they were forgiven by God for their trespasses because of their repentance or God saw the good in them. He did not continue to look at what they said or did wrong, but what they did right and the potential to continue in his work. I saw these persons as having that 'special relationship with God', putting them upon a "perfect" pedestal where they did not belong in my mind. They were just imperfect as any other men on the face of the earth. It was God that held them in high esteem because they were following his direction, work, and commandments despite their fallacies or incorrect beliefs or judgment. (Ex. Jonah) Therefore, if we put them upon a pedestal, it is because God holds them blameless in doing his will, even though they are sinners. This is what finally registered and corrected my thinking whereas I was able to stop being judgmental of God and his prophets or being overly disappointed when others aren't doing or saying the right things as well as myself. Keeping focus on God's work and the commandments of Jesus is what's important. The best we can hope for is to align ourselves with others that help us carry out our ministry or preaching work as designated by Christ. Within that framework, we should be able to find friends and family doing the same even if we lose other close friends or relationships. (Psalm 37:25) A young man I used to be, I have also grown old, And yet I have not seen anyone righteous left entirely, Nor his offspring looking for bread.
  15. That was quite interesting Joyce. Yes I suppose it would be interesting to do if you could start. However it sounds like we might need a course in psychology or good insight as to the reasons why we feel a need to belong within a family or find acceptance in society.
